Though 2049 was still pretty damn epic.

cowsaysboo At least it proves that those magnificent visuals existed in 1982. Of course I'm no except, and most definitely not a scientist, on this movie

There won't be any flying cars in 2050 either I bet! Self-Driving cars probably will be more reliable by then though, but they still need a lot of work right now.
what a incredible film!! almost nobody seems to talk about Sean Young's job in this film, but it is quite good! She looks so beautiful, so enigmatic...
Based on a novel by famous SciFi-Author Phillip K. Dick...I read almost all of his books...He was a GeNIUS, that killed himself a few years later... I will NEVER understand, why people with THAT MUCH TALENT die young, or kill themselfs....RIP Philipp....I will always remember you...
exactly ... its like an entirely different unit, produced the trailer before the final 'edit' of the movie... many of those sound effects are not in the movie... and zero feel of what its about...
Astonishing how much better the voice-over monologue is than the original cut of the film. But my god, this is still breathtaking, even in a world where we have Blade Runner 2049.
I just finished to read "Do androids dream of electric sheep?", which this movie is based on. I´ve never seen it, but it seems like it´s totally different from the book, which is a masterpiece. Everything in the movie appears so "american" with fights and vicious characters, while in the book everything appears "normal", how real life is supposed to be. The real "fight" is the one inside the mind of the people. I hope the movie can pass that too.
When you think about it 2019 is 37 years from 1982 but the distance between them feels pretty short. 37 years from now is 2060 which feels so far into the future you can’t comprehend that number.
"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." And you have burned so very, very brightly, Rutger Hauer. 75 years... RIP my fellow Dutchman.

no its absolute must dumbest prediction in all history I would understand if people in BC or AD thought that but not people in 1900s they should know better we live in the real world
As long as humanity exists, this will remain a Masterpiece. Fantastic acting, phenomenal screenplay, inspiring magic soundtrack (of the one and only, Vangelis...). lt is a beautiful heritage left by Ridley Scott and the entire crew involved in making this movie, for all mankind.
I have been watching this film for just 15 minutes feeling weird because my son has been born on the same day as the replicant's probable leader... Thank God our times aren't a cyberpunk era
In tokyo they have live concerts of vocaloids.. thousands of people screaming at the sound of a robo/hologram singer. some people think that this phenomina is rather sad ; For them that is cyberpunk for sure. Pardon my grammer.
They were kind of right though.. we expected to have flying cars and vehicles but right now we have all the knowledge in the world in our phones constantly sending emails to one another and interacting with different people all from satellites in the sky. So basically all information is in the air all in all we were halfway right
every movie that ever tries to envision the future has flying cars. One of the best and most believable movies set in the future in my opinion was Minority Report w Tom Cruise. Life set in 2054 was basically like it is now except for a few things like robots. I feel the only things we will see change over the next 25-40 years will be in the medical field and robotics. We will see deafness and blindness cured. Self-driving cars. TV's and personal computers you can roll up like a piece of paper. Advancements in things like organ and tissue replacement. People living until 100-110 common place and with decent quality of life. Police using robots and drones. Advancement in space travel. Going to Mars in a months time not 5 years. But in terms of what we eat, our entertainment, schools, work...much will remain the same. In 2054 there will still be Coca-Cola, The NFL, going to the supermarket, and yes the common cold.
"Blade Runner" from 1982 has an undeniable vibe to it. Ridley Scott's visionary direction is utterly captivating, consistently positioning him ahead of contemporary trends on Earth. The on-screen chemistry between Sean Young and Harrison Ford is palpable and genuine, while the appearance of the ever-beautiful Daryl Hannah adds an extra layer of intrigue.
Now that we're at 2015 they need to change the date in the film to 2119. In 100 years this could be a possible future. Earth, polluted, overpopulated but super high tech.
+Alan Nikolai Stratmann 'flying cars' you do realize that's like basically airplanes and helicopters? There's tall buildings and helipads in existence right now...
also, the idea is that they are constantly charged from the electromagnetic 'rails' which act as the 'guides' or roadways and provide a field to create inertia and thus resistance, which again, provides a battery charge, or whatever phrasing is put to it. its being experimented with currently, and at that point, gps and localised data would provide automated maneuvering much like the japanese bullet trains. you didnt think thru your response very thoroughly, did you

what a incredible film!! almost nobody seems to talk about Sean Young's job in this film, but it is quite good! She looks so beautiful, so enigmatic...
40 years for a legend movie.
Friendly reminder: This is how we all supposed to start dressing next month.
Best movie of all time
Based on a novel by famous SciFi-Author Phillip K. Dick...I read almost all of his books...He was a GeNIUS, that killed himself a few years later...
I will NEVER understand, why people with THAT MUCH TALENT die young, or kill themselfs....RIP Philipp....I will always remember you...
If you're a Replicant watching this in 2021, you're a legend.
😎
Whoever cut this trailer deserves to be homeless
Was looking for that comment.
after i saw the trailer i didnt wanted to watch the movie but ur comment makes me think
😅
@@NoU-tt9nl haha.
Bro .. the movie is amazing!! Don't let a bad edditing change ur mind.
exactly ... its like an entirely different unit, produced the trailer before the final 'edit' of the movie... many of those sound effects are not in the movie... and zero feel of what its about...
How have I never seen or heard of this movie before...... it’s beautiful
Blade runner, he came out in 1982. Is something special.
There are several cuts so watch all of them!
There's a great scene in the book where some replicant police try to fool "Decard" that HE is one!
Both the film and the book ask disturbing questions. Questions even more relevant these days. Dufferent questions though.
When you think about it 2019 is 37 years from 1982 but the distance between them feels pretty short. 37 years from now is 2060 which feels so far into the future you can’t comprehend that number.
I will watch this in November 2019.
It's not a remake, it's a sequel. The director did Prisoners and Sicario, check them out. He is working closely with Ridely Scott, it will be good.
Sicario blew me away.
Arrival is also getting amazing reviews as well.
Don't forget Incendies and Enemy. Those are also great films by him.
Rezjamin Eugenio
Yes that is the recent trend, stupid one word titles for film.
watch the new trailer
*Me in 2023: I am Ryan Gosling*
*My dad in 1982: I am Harrison Ford*
Who's watching this in 2019 like a BOSS?
I know this trailer shows most of the movie but I still love it. The Ink Spots fits perfectly.
Who's watching in November 2019?
Congratulations guys, we made it!
"The light that burns twice as bright burns half as long." And you have
burned so very, very brightly, Rutger Hauer. 75 years... RIP my fellow
Dutchman.
One of my favorite movies of all time!
this movie is preserved like tears in snow
November 2019 we’re in the future!
1982: the Cars will Fly in 2019

The best sci-fi, cyberpunk film of all time!
Watching this trailer right after watching the new trailer of Blade Runner 2049.
Murad Ali same lol
i know why you are here
I'm a hate symbol How did you know that I was led here by an advertisement about intergalactic frog tentacle porn while watching an animated video of a 5 headed oompa loompa and an enormous eagle having anal foot sex?!?!? The people I find these days....You must watch weird porn. Watch normal shit like me. Jeez..
+Halo Punk trying too hard bud
Jack Morris true
True... I need to watch more chewbacca interracial orgies...
Bladerunner 2048
Who's here in November 2019?
1982: What is Smartphone? the Cars will Fly in 2019
2019: am l joke to you?
To think it’s November 2019 right now and I got to watch the entire movie right at the very time period that It’s set in.
We may not have flying cars and it's even 2020, but the dystopia shown here matches the feeling of our time.
Blade Runner started the birth of cyberpunk movies!
Still looks great today in 2019 just watched it again
no its absolute must dumbest prediction in all history I would understand if people in BC or AD thought that but not people in 1900s they should know better we live in the real world
As long as humanity exists, this will remain a Masterpiece. Fantastic acting, phenomenal screenplay, inspiring magic soundtrack (of the one and only, Vangelis...). lt is a beautiful heritage left by Ridley Scott and the entire crew involved in making this movie, for all mankind.
Bladerunner 2 coming 2017!!
I just watched it and it's legit the best thing ever!!!! watch it!!!!
yeah, they are postponing flying cars to 2049.
So this is what the past looks like.
Spooky.BRE medicine came a long way since 80's, electronic cars might be the future. Flying cars will be at least 2300
0:31 nexus 6 becomes reality though in this world lol
Devo Fauzan Rahman sharp observation skills
Yeah right haha and in the first movie they don't talk in slow motion. I Hate the new movie slow bad casting.
+Glebewood Windsor first one is much better
Best movie ever. It inspired many upcoming stories
I have been watching this film for just 15 minutes feeling weird because my son has been born on the same day as the replicant's probable leader... Thank God our times aren't a cyberpunk era
+Alan Nikolai Stratmann Yes, but they use no man-made "human beings"
In tokyo they have live concerts of vocaloids.. thousands of people screaming at the sound of a robo/hologram singer. some people think that this phenomina is rather sad ; For them that is cyberpunk for sure. Pardon my grammer.
We are here, 2019..
Rutger Hauer great actor in Blade Runner, The Hitcher, Blind Side, Blind Fury, Nighthawks and many other films... R.I.P 🌹
RIP Syd Mead, the legend that gave us the look of this movie
Even though blade runner came out in 1982 it was truly a movie ahead of its time special visual effects wise
Yesterday I rewatch blade Runner still a masterpiece
Growing up in the 80's...I can't believe I never seen this movie. Is it really as good as they say?
I might watch tonight.
Did you see?
"What do you mean you've never seen Blade Runner?!"
-Alex Turner in his song Star Treatment
Lol they thought this is what 2019 would look like.
+Kirk Landau actually I think I did get that from one of his interviews, good eye
A lot more vegans are going to be around in the next few decades.
well it was an 1982 movie lol they didn't know how the world was gonna be back then
I’m high af and for some reason I can’t stop thinking about the bird at 3:04….knowing that It’s way older than me lol
2014 still no flying cars...
Hugh Jass
2019 and still no flying cars
2015...still the same..kkkkkkkkkk
Γιωργος Καραφλας Blame it on Shell,Mobil, Exxon and British Petroleum.
Elaih MMS 4000 still no flying cars
Elaih MMS 2030 - time machine, but still none of those...
Harrison looks like 80's Bradley cooper.
Anybody from 2024?
yes
2019 november, so excited for the flying cars
"Blade Runner" from 1982 has an undeniable vibe to it. Ridley Scott's visionary direction is utterly captivating, consistently positioning him ahead of contemporary trends on Earth. The on-screen chemistry between Sean Young and Harrison Ford is palpable and genuine, while the appearance of the ever-beautiful Daryl Hannah adds an extra layer of intrigue.
That’s funny, I’m watching this trailer on November 2019. 😱
Yes. Where are the flying cars? :)
Lao Chen
That is a good question hahahaha
Now that we're at 2015 they need to change the date in the film to 2119. In 100 years this could be a possible future. Earth, polluted, overpopulated but super high tech.
+Alan Nikolai Stratmann 'flying cars' you do realize that's like basically airplanes and helicopters? There's tall buildings and helipads in existence right now...
also, the idea is that they are constantly charged from the electromagnetic 'rails' which act as the 'guides' or roadways and provide a field to create inertia and thus resistance, which again, provides a battery charge, or whatever phrasing is put to it. its being experimented with currently, and at that point, gps and localised data would provide automated maneuvering much like the japanese bullet trains. you didnt think thru your response very thoroughly, did you
The future will also have old non hd tvs
then what about the image thing? idk how that is futuristic.
Wow. It tells virtually the whole damn story chronologically.
