Ratchet runs are always so much fun. The commentary is always so lighthearted and goofy, but never dismissive of the _very_ impressive tech on display during the run
This run was so ahmazing what a great showcase of the R&C community. Hilarious and informative, one of my favorite GDQ runs in years. Keep it up all of you.
I saw a lot of R&C Speedruns (It's one of my Top 3 Childhood Gameseries) so I love to see this perfect categorie for the first Time And I love to see that it's run in German (My First Language)
When you earn a trophy, you can access the load menu while in the ship and cause what's known as level stacking, where you have the code of one planet while in another. He uses this for the Nerves of Titanium bolt by level stacking with Aridia, which saves 5-6 minutes.
ATB is drastically more difficult and different compared to any%. Any% skips Aquatos, Tyhrranosis and Aridia and you lose out on some weapons, skips and proxies altogether. ATB is very fun but highly challenging, and is purely just a preferred extension of any% for the sheer difficulty and variety in skips and levels like Aridia, Aquatos, Koros and Holostar proxy, and different experience routes.
It's what I submitted. It's a much more interesting category in my opinion, and Any% has already been shown at AGDQ 2019, so it's showing something that hasn't been on the big stage before.
Considering the immense crunch time Insomniac was under to get them out the door it's not surprising. The snow level in 2 was completed right before the game was released and introduced last second in the development cycle, that's why the yeti enemies suck so much; they weren't programmed correctly because they didn't have the time to. (Source: developer commentary in their LP that's available here on YT, last I remember)
Another incredible run!

What a run! Scott did very well, and I'm glad to know Xem was a commentator - he's a good guy.
R&C3 is one of my favourite games of all time, watching speedruns of it never gets old!

I'm amazed by the feats that Scottobozo pulled in this run! Marvellous stuff.
I'm about half a year late lol,
but thanks to GDQ for having me on for the interview!

This was a great run!
Why did scott need a fresh PS3 account? I dont remember it being fully explained

They explain it at 59:56
The achievement let the menu load a file save while loading another level so that both the levels ran at the same time
Explaining health care to a Ratchet & Clank speedrunner: imagine a bus
59:17 That sounds like Crash Twinsanity
Is there a reason why this is All Titanium Bolts rather than Any Percent?

It would be cool if they remade these games but instead they like fully complete them since 2 and 3 tbh felt... unfinished

The run is in german? Well then...
Diese Kommentarsektion ist nun Eigentum der Bundesrepublik Deutschland!
