Various observations based on this video: 0:01 - Not that it really matters in the end result, but ball-carriers should never turn their back to a defender... bad things happen. 0:07 - Decent leg drive, but not quite like what Mixon or larger RBs can generate 0:14 - Good open-field cut & re-acceleration 1:31 - Runs left then cuts upfield around the 22; not a pure "one-leg cut" like Arian foster or Matt Forte, more of a two-legged cut... not bad 1:53 - Surprising that he gets spilled here; I'd think someone w/ his athleticism should be able to see the defender coming & realize he could cut right to avoid the tackle. Instead, he gets spun like a top. 2:08 & 2:14 - Greg Cosell likes to say there's a difference between being "tough" & being "powerful". Chase Brown is "tough", but is he "powerful" like Nick Chubb or Breece Hall or Josh Jacobs or Zach Charbonnet? Jury is still out for me on that one. I'd like to see him persevere through first contact a bit better. 3:00 - Nasty cut to make unblocked man miss 3:14 - Nice open-field move to leave defender grasping at air Strengths: - Obvious plus acceleration & top-end speed - Appears to be a plus receiver with good hands & potential in screen-game - Large enough frame to handle ~250-270 touches - Appears natural working in gap/zone schemes Weaknesses: - Though listed at 210#, does not always play like it - Tends to receive contact rather than initiate contact - Has solid "make ya miss" ability but not elite ability - Interior running merely OK Unknown: - Pass protection Overall: Brown profiles as a mix of Tony Pollard, Aaron Jones and Jerick McKinnon. Brown has clear plus athletic traits however he likely lacks the size to be a "foundation" runner a la Saquon, Chubb, Taylor, etc. His ideal use is as a compliment to a larger runner who can grind away inside, leaving Brown to handle 12-15 perimeter carries with healthy pass game involvement. Could see something like a 2022 Tony Pollard season with a willing coaching staff.

Browns gonna explode on the scene in 2024 !!! His speed n agility is top tier !! Gives u a Jahmyr Gibbs like esque type of player in the backfield .
Chase Brown is definitely gonna have a breakout year this season
Hell yeah. He was my favorite pick last draft. Him an Zach Moss are going to be explosive.
I agree I predict some really big plays next season from the RBs. Running and catching.
I’m so excited
Yea especially if he’s only a 3rd down back. Coming on with fresh legs, he’s gunna break off some huge plays
@@dominicscarlato326Zack moss wasn’t that good by week 8. 3.7 ypc by the time JT came back. I like brown to take the lead back role.

3:00 - Nasty cut to make unblocked man miss
3:14 - Nice open-field move to leave defender grasping at air
Strengths:
- Obvious plus acceleration & top-end speed
- Appears to be a plus receiver with good hands & potential in screen-game
- Large enough frame to handle ~250-270 touches
- Appears natural working in gap/zone schemes
Weaknesses:
- Though listed at 210#, does not always play like it
- Tends to receive contact rather than initiate contact
- Has solid "make ya miss" ability but not elite ability
- Interior running merely OK
Unknown:
- Pass protection

I'm excited to see him play more this season
Man We Sure miss Nixon !!
Kid is a workhorse. He’s like 5’10, but he packs a punch. Shifty as hell
I think between brown and Moss we're going to see a lot more than we expect
This kid and Gesicki going to explode this season
This is his year to shine!
Dude is explosive
The next 3-down back for the Cincy Bengals
Acceleration is insane
better than moss
Him and Jaylen warren are such steals in PPR.
Go Bengals ........
Chase is gonna be way better than Mixon. He actually breaks tackles
I drafted him in my best ball league
Let's go sun.
As an eagles fan I think the bengals got the better twin
A faster Kyren
