The Galaxy s6 Edge is really the first device I couldn't wait to return back to stock! Funny story. By accident my phone was in "easy mode" when I finished setting it up. I've kept it there now for 1 whole day and I think I'm going to stay in "easy mode". Ironically this might have been what I wanted from rooted device anyway!

I rooted my phone using Odin a few months ago. Then it just crapped out on me. Now it is stuck in a boot loop mode. I can get it to recovery mood and download mode. That isn't the issue. The issue is that when I have Odin open the phone isn't being recognized. it keeps saying "USB device not recognized. the last USB device you connected to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it". I have tried reinstalling the drivers for my Sprint S6. I have also updated the media package for my windows 8.1. But it still isn't recognizing the phone. I am not entirely sure how to fix this. Please Help!! Also, in the top left hand corner where it says "[ kernal is not seandriod enforcing. custom binary blocked by fap lock"

yes it will put everything back to stock but it can still be detected that it was rooted if they go into the download mode but 9 out of 10 times they dont check it thay normally just look for the supersu app or the system official in the status about phone settings😆
+Android Doctor Alright, I'm taking it in to t-mobile tomorrow and I'd prefer they'd see it as not rooted to help with a warranty if any left, when I rooted my phone, the dialer stopped working, I couldn't hear any calls and nobody could hear me, I'll hope that going back to stock makes the phone work again I've been trying to find a fix ever since but ultimately I'll have to take it to them, thanks for the quick response btw

try unchecking auto reboot then when the flashing is complete make sure it says succeed 1 failed 0 then hold down all phsyical buttons keep them held untill phone switches of then power back on as normal😆 if phone is stuck in a bootloop then power off press home button volume up & power buttons all at once to enter stock recovery in there choose factory reset then hit reboot and the phone should then boot😆
ShineDrafter double check that the firmware u downloaded is the correct firmware for your device sounds like it could be the wrong firmware also maybe try another version of odin

+paulvitti666 When you say flash, do you mean root? I did root with that version and everything worked except the fingerprint scanner. There was also a drop call or two that I never got before rooting, so I reverted back to stock. You can get the fingerprint scanner working if you use a different kernel, but that will trip KNOX, which I didn't want to do.

I followed all these steps and still my phone was rooted. The way could tell this was i couldn't access Samsung Health and the Secret mode on the Samsung internet as it stated my device is rooted. I have a Samsung S6 that i didn't mean to root when trying to recover deleted images.
Josh Renall go into settings look at your status if it says offical your not rooted, another thing s health and samsung pay the reason your seeing those root messages is because uour device was rooted & knox was tripped

ItsVoltz okm im guessing the problem could be the version of lollipop u r running could have been patched preventing u from downgrading to kitkat try go back to samsungs firmware site and downloading the earliest version of lollipop possible for your model number then install it using odin then after that try the downgrade to kitkat again

+Harrison Cancino try the UK BTU firmware flash it onto your phone then if it dont boot do the button combo I mentioned to go into recovery tjen do the factory wipe and reboot!! 1 more thing pay attention to odin watch to see if it says suceeded or fail at the bittom left corner where u see all the flashing activity happening

+Ninioroly I know the feeling! I couldn't appreciate stock more than I do now if I had never rooted this phone! Maybe later on when things are more mature for this device, but right now I'm sticking with STOCK 5.1.1!

try connect the phone to the pc & not odin then go into your pc device manager and tell me if u see a yellow explanation mark

That's because your phone was rooted once u root Samsung health will no longer work because Knox was tripped

Bro i get a error on odin it says fail bootloader i whant to down grade from android 7 to stock 5.1.1 on my s6 edge sm-g925i
Seems like alot of people have problrms trying to doengrade the s6 from 7.0 to 5.1 did y try running the odin as administrater?

yes doing this will unroot your phone and remove the seandroid is enforcing message & put your phone back to how it was the 1st day u got it bro:-)
I followed all these steps and still my phone was rooted. The way could tell this was i couldn't access Samsung Health and the Secret mode on the Samsung internet as it stated my device is rooted. I have a Samsung S6 that i didn't mean to root when trying to recover deleted images.
Josh Renall go into settings look at your status if it says offical your not rooted, another thing s health and samsung pay the reason your seeing those root messages is because uour device was rooted & knox was tripped

ItsVoltz okm im guessing the problem could be the version of lollipop u r running could have been patched preventing u from downgrading to kitkat try go back to samsungs firmware site and downloading the earliest version of lollipop possible for your model number then install it using odin then after that try the downgrade to kitkat again

when it finished flashing did it say pass or fail? doyble check that the firmware u downloaded is for your model number and mobile network or it wont work another thing is when it finishes flashing if it doesnt bootup turn power fully off then hold down home button >volume up button>and power button all at the same time go into recovery mode and do factory data wipe and wipe cache too then reboot and it should then fully reboot

+Harrison Cancino try the UK BTU firmware flash it onto your phone then if it dont boot do the button combo I mentioned to go into recovery tjen do the factory wipe and reboot!! 1 more thing pay attention to odin watch to see if it says suceeded or fail at the bittom left corner where u see all the flashing activity happening

+Ninioroly I know the feeling! I couldn't appreciate stock more than I do now if I had never rooted this phone! Maybe later on when things are more mature for this device, but right now I'm sticking with STOCK 5.1.1!
