I think Eddie is so loved as a character because there are so many people that can relate to him, doesn't matter if they are metalheads or not. Socially awkward people, sort of outcasts, people who don't necessarily attract a lot of attention and friends. We see Eddie having that along with his band and the Hellfire Club, but they are all a close-knit group of people. You can see how only gradually he sort of trusts the others, but really has no choice as he knows he needs help after what happened to Chrissy when there is no one else to believe him and help him but these mostly strange to him people. So what Joe says in this interview about leaning on others in times of need, this is exactly it.
I think there's more to that than ppl being able to relate to him. Eddie was having as much screentime as some of the lead actors and he definitely had a huge impact on Season 4's storyline. If we follow the D&D lore, I do think there is a chance Eddie will be back in Season 5.
The way he speaks about everything and everyone is so beautiful and authentic, in very early interviews you could tell he was so nervous but now he’s opened up and spread his wings like a gorgeous lil butterfly and I can’t get enough of him
idk y but joe saying that if he worked hard enough, maybe they wouldnt kill eddie off & perhaps kept him for another season breaks my heart 💔 like IM ACTUALLY SO SAD its not your fault the duffers are deranged hun :( u did so good at playing eddie and the audience response shows how much he was loved even for a short amount of time, u deserve all the praises!!
That broke me!!!! It wasn’t because he didn’t deliver an amazing performance- he obviously did! It’s a story and I get that they’re directors and writers and the script is already written aka fates of certain characters yada yada yada. I hope Joe sees this as a stepping stone of more amazing things to come. I love Eddie and I hate we have to see him go so soon, but I would love more of Joe in ANYTHING tbh
He's ridiculously cute, It's hard not to fall completely in love with him He played Eddie so well. I think they made a huge mistake killing that character. This man is so talented....
"We don't know what's around the corner but you always have your friends there, God willing, to help you in times of adversity. Heroism is leaning on people and sometimes asking for help and sometimes being there for people". Wow, I love this man, he's just so wholesome and insightful, kind of reminds me of Andrew Garfield. Oh gotta love INFP actors
I think I can speak for most when I say that Eddie was genuinely my favorite and comfort character and his death is just unbearable and sooo sad. His presence made the show but and him not being in season 5 is literally so sad and it definitely won’t be the same without him.
I truly love the way he expresses himself and speaks about others. It is great to see actors when they're so humble and true to themselves. I really hope he stays this way, and I have no doubt he will! I can't wait to see more of what's to come from him and his career that has just catapulted!
i love how joe recognizes and praises his co stars like frr yes they're all so talented actors!! natalia, sadie & millie did such a great performance this season and deserves all the love theyre getting rn 💌
This was hands down one of my favorite interviews. I love hearing him speak, period. The way he so eloquently and beautifully articulates his thoughts about the show and the bigger themes we all face in life such as friendship, self-doubt, what it means to be a hero, etc. was truly a joy to hear. He is humble, wise, and genuine. He definitely has a good head on his shoulders. It's nice to hear this side of him. Many interviews I've seen previously kept things kind of surface-level. It takes skill to structure good interview questions and make the interviewee comfortable enough to share more. However, this interview did not lack depth as he was given the time and space to give deep, honest, and thoughtful answers. He's always provided long, meaningful answers to interview questions but I feel like this one is different. Perhaps it's because the focus of the interview was more open-ended. He listed what he deemed to be the top 5 heroic moments and then explained further to his llking. It's an absolute pleasure watching any interview Joseph does!
Joseph seems like a really cool guy to hang out with. And I really enjoy listening to him. He is so well spoken and has such a pleasant voice. It's so cute to hear he calls Natalia "Nat" (5:28). I'm sure he gets along with everyone in the cast very well.
Eddie's death, it's effing hard, but I can take it. However the complete lack of grieving from everyone except Dustin and Dwayne, the fact that Hawkins still see him as murderer while he died PROTECTING it... That what makes me just so angry. Eddie deserved so much better.
I loved this interview so so much thank you for this🙏🏼 Joseph deserves all the recognition that he is getting and I'm devastated that he thought if he worked harder than he would be invited in season five that is so not true he is an incredible actor! I'm very excited about his next projects and thanks stranger things for introducing this talented actor to me! It's their loss that brothers decided to kill off his character.
He is so charismatic! The way his eyes shine his presence and charisma... Somthing in his presence just draws you to him and makes you fall in love with his energy and with him. That's what made his character so 'show stilling', plus the brilliant writing of the Duffer brothers of course. And his charisma and charm just spill out through the screen, even in this probably veeeeerrrrryyyyy long day of interviews he did. Heart broken his character died, and really hoping to see him in great and interesting projects to come
Can we all just take a moment and appreciate that Joe has had to sit through multiple interviews of the same questions being asked of him (I know it's part of press and his job but...) and he's always so generous with his responses? I'm sure he as the actor who brought Eddie to life to the degree that everyone fell in love with him, being asked about his characters fate over and over again is hard. You know he wanted to stay on ST as he mentions he's gutted. Cheers to you Joseph Quinn! Can't wait to see what other roles you get to play. Eddie forever!🖤
I'm so glad that he gets the recognition he deserves. He's such a brilliant actor and that's the primary reason why Eddie is so loved and accepted by the audience. I'm also very happy to know that a man like Joe exists haha he's my new celebrity crush
That sucks because we'd sure like to see Eddie in season 5. At least some flash backs of some D&D games we missed? I had to like Eddie.....he's pretty much me in the 80s. lol
Well acted, I've signed at least two petitions to resurrect you. Lol 😂 Thank you reaching into my heart. Just loved Eddie &, I too went to school wiv kids like him. Great ppl 🙂 Definitely my favourite crowd. ☮️💜🦊🦄🤘🎸
joe keery and joe quinn call themselves "joe" because its just a nickname/shorter version of joseph, their full name. gaten called himself joe that one time as a joke because he was with both joe's during the interview.

Yep. I cried when Eddie died because I felt like I had lost one of my own, and I did. Rest In Peace fellow metal head. 🎸🤘

I relate to him
You get it

joseph quinn is someone the world didn’t know they needed.
eddie deserved better i’m gonna miss seeing joe play such an iconic character 😭
idk y but joe saying that if he worked hard enough, maybe they wouldnt kill eddie off & perhaps kept him for another season breaks my heart 💔 like IM ACTUALLY SO SAD its not your fault the duffers are deranged hun :(

You're taking him a bit too seriously...
"its not your fault the duffers are deranged hun" please this is the best possible phrasing, made me laugh so hard
What…noooo. He was absolutely perfect. There was nothing more he could have done.😭
yesss!!

I watched pretty much all of his interviews about stranger things and this is definitely one of his best ones. It's up there, what a smart man.

Really enjoyed watching Eddie 🥺😭
@LAKI 88 WTF 😐😐😐😐😐
He didn't have to sacrifice himself to be a hero 😭. Eddie deserved so much better
eddie munson was such a nice charecter, his death was so sad :(

He’s adorable
Eddie will always be my favorite heroic misunderstood misfit

“One of which is an infant” 🤣🤣🤣

He did loads of interviews of this sitting . How crazy! LOL
Joseph is like a mix between Robery Downey Jr and Justin Timberlake
But British. It’s kind of perfect.
Would have rather lost Robin's character than Eddie's 😬
Well acted, I've signed at least two petitions to resurrect you. Lol 😂 Thank you reaching into my heart. Just loved Eddie &, I too went to school wiv kids like him. Great ppl 🙂 Definitely my favourite crowd. ☮️💜🦊🦄🤘🎸
🙌
Can someone pls explain what volume 2 is?
Great list but holy jumpcuts, Batman!
Eddie’s death wasn’t fair 😫😭💗
Ummm Joyce with cow prod and Murey with the Flamethrower

Why gaten joe and joseph call themselves as "joe", need an answeer
