What I love most about the BCU is that Andrew uplifts everyone around him. It's a rare quality and it shows great strength of character that other's strength doesn't make him insecure, but that he is proud of working with his BCU colleagues and truly appreciates them.

Edit: Apparently it was only a 10 episode deal / contract.

Poor Kendall spent half the episode looking so flustered. I loved every time she explained what she meant by what she was saying, she's phenomenal at breaking things down.
The awkward "hi" and "why are we here?" to start things off foretells great things from this series.
As all great things begin.
*chanting* "Kendall Show. Kendall Show! Kendall Show!! KENDALL SHOW!!!!!"
I feel that Kendall's derpiness and her very simple explanations are much more helpful to those who are new and want to pick up cooking since newbies get to relate to that derpiness. I have never done anything more complicated than a lasagna and yet after seeing this it makes me want to start making croissants.
You could tell she was nervous being the star at the beginning, but after everything was out of the oven, Kendall really opened up! I am really excited to see what else we get from her!!!

Kendall just seems like a sweet, pleasant person to be around. Plus we all know she's the culinary brains behind the BCU. Can't wait to see many more episodes in this series!

The way I was taught in culinary school, when proofing croissants, you want to bake them when you see the layers on the edges beginning to separate on their own. They will feel incredibly delicate and tender to the touch
When Kendall told us "Don't be a fool" she said it so naturally. Almost as if she has had to say it many times before...
Babish is just the orphanage for other talented chefs out there.

The relationship between babish and Kendall is really beautiful, I feel like alot of men don't treat women working under them in such a respectful and kind way! He makes room for her experience and acknowledges her knowledge that he doesn't have. This is really wonderful! 💕
Kendall is such a skilled, technical baker. I would love to see her do something with Sohla, because I feel like they would bounce off each other really well in their inventiveness and love for a challenge!
Does she have her own channel? It's the first video I see of her and the technique was not great and croissants were honestly a bit on a beginner level... But maybe she was having a bad day?
@@axel.lessio I speak under correction, but I think the Botched with Babish episodes are the first time she's been on camera (or maybe Stump Sohla?). I'd imagine that being the main feature of an episode for the first time would throw you off your game a bit.
@@axel.lessio she's been working behind the camera for/with Andrew for quite a while already as part of his team. She is a fully trained chef.

I want to say I just started watching a month or two ago, but having been watching so many different videos and it’s incredible to see where you were to where you are now. I love that Babish uses his channel as a platform for other creators. Seeing Kendall and Rick and Sohla and Alvin present makes this channel so much more robust and meaningful to me:)

I love that you guys in the BCU show your mistakes. That relatability makes me feel like I can have a go at some of your recipes, and they've turned out pretty well (with a few small mistakes along the way).
I like that too but alsonso we can learn from it. For example that you need to learn to proof by eye and not by time
@@IrmaU94 The trick about proofing is that it's time and temperature, and hydration.
@@kaldo_kaldo well i said by eye and not by time cause it varies a lot. You cant say 'proof one hour' cause it wont be done proofing yet for some people. That can happen because for example because of temperature. The time is a guide line but you have to see for yourself if yours is done or not
Man, there are TV networks that have less variety than yall. Keep it up. Botched and this show are fantastic additions. We need more casual babish and Kendall in general.

This is an absolute delight! I relate to Kendall for a lot of reasons: I love to experiment and compare variations, I like to be silly and talk to the food as one might to a baby or small child, and I enjoy making cute little versions (those cupcake croissants made me so happy). I look forward to seeing more of Kendall in the BCU! Love you!

It took me an embarrassing amount of time to realize that FundaKendalls is an amalgamation of fundamentals and Kendall. I loved seeing Kendall front on center and starting out with something that is difficult to make (so I've heard).

I have an unspeakable amount of joy and pride in my heart to see Kendall with her own show
Kendall’s imaginary future twin girls: “Mom, why are our names Lauren and Bernadette?”

I think one of the most endearing parts of all of the BCU is the authentic mistakes left on camera. It would be so easy to cut the mistakes when they go back to edit but embracing them allows the audience to feel more welcome to trying and making mistakes of their own. It also shows us moments of vulnerability and true character rather than “on air personality”. This isn’t new and I doubt I’m the first to comment on it but Andrew, Brad, Kendall, Jess, Sawyer, and anyone else I missed thank you for the years if entertainment and imparted culinary knowledge

I really like how sometimes different cooks wear different aprons. Shows personality and I dunno feels like it adds to the show. And if it's only a torso video, it distinguishes each person. Very beautiful

About time we got more of Kendall ! I honestly appreciate the inclusion of all the mistakes cause I find it really helpful to explain why they happened and I that's really valuable for trying out something you've never made before.

Kendall's personality really shines through. So kind and gentle. Also has phenomenal knowledge for someone so young. Very cute too. i love her and would like to see her do more.
I thought part of the genesis of Babish creating his channel is that it just stuck to the cooking and didn't give us a bunch of filler. Bless their hearts but I did love the lack of filler.
I've always loved Kendall's vibe. She reminds me of my kindergarden teacher: she was super sweet and basically fell in love with you if you thanked her for teaching you something.
The final part where Babish says 'Great first step, son' is adorable over 9000
I love Kendall so much, she's always my favorite part of Botched because we get to see her more than in usual Binging episodes. So happy for her to have her own outlet on the channel to express her many talents and her fun humour.

I definitely see myself in Kendall (not to hype myself up or anything). The bubbly enthusiasm to just bake - creating recipes and taking the mistakes as they come - it's inspiring. I'm currently in university to become a teacher, but there's nothing I want to do more in life than bake. I've been watching this channel for years and even though I love Andrew's wit and insane skill, it's so awesome to see myself in one of my favourite youtube channels. Kendall's amazing, everyone on the team is amazing. I can't wait to see more installments of this series.
