Stoked to see Russ and Tony! Agree Mtn racer 1 ripstop upper is indestructible! I’ve had 2 pairs and still run in one pair and use it sparingly because I dont want to see it go! The mtn racer 2 is amazing with my only possible Goldilocks request being some added cushion which y’all seemed to addressed. Can’t wait for the 3 to make its way to Canada! Keep up the great work Russ/Tony/Topo!
Looking forward to trying it. I love the 2, but the laces are so stiff, they don't slide well through the eyelets, which makes it time consuming to adjust the amount of lock down you need during the run.
My work boot (Redwing) is an "H" width... so I will keep buying elsewhere until Topo catches up with their competitor's extended width offferings. Please hurry with that. My fingers are crossed for the Terraventure 4 to be offered in a extra wide width. PS: What a wonderful person fielding calls on the customer service number
I recently purchsed four of your shoes so I can ask for few things 🤣 1. Make a video series on proper running technique. If you sponsor athletes, ask them to share some of their experiences on this channel. 2. Make a video describing, in detail, how to size your shoes. I can only buy online without trying. The video should start from a feet on a piece of paper doing a footprint of the feet. Use metrics and imprerials. This will help your customers. Looking at the industry, the shoe sizing is a mess so this will allow customers to size the shoes without problems. I assume different shoes will have slightly different sizing, since I expect a different room for my finger for daily runners on flat tarmac vs technical trial shoes. Since your team have more experience than I, it is likely you can teach me something so that avoid asking your sellers for size replacement :) 3. Make a cheaper daily shoe that I can wear to the office. ST-4 would be a good base. This will not be for training but for walking in the city. Flat, roomy, breathable, classic looking, durable and reasonably priced. No need for space technology in this product line. It is very hard for me to find shoes that fit all of my fingers and I am not the only one.
When can we expect an insole that doesn’t hold water like the ortholite? Even if you sell them separately. I love all the mtn racers but if your going to be getting wet the insole is annoying
Well, I am I guess not everybody’s the same I really like the version one didn’t try version two because it was still in fine condition bought version three and I returned it. It was for me too high off the ground arm. I didn’t get any good ground feel because it I don’t even trip to want but so so for me, it was in there I have I think you’re perfect trail Fuchs it would be something like a terra venture that if I could have the ground field and the flexibility and everything of their very first mountain racer, that would be a shoe but I don’t know how to make shoes, so I just thought I’d status to appreciate it but I guess more people probably do want to hire stack myself. I’m always trying to go the other way I guess but thanks bye
I really want to switch to Topo. The quality has been solid with the shoes I’ve tried out. But it’s as if they’re foot shaped for narrow footed people. My ultra venture 2’s were too narrow in the toe box, the specters were too narrow throughout the whole shoe, and the phantom 2 were too short and narrow in the heel.
wanted so much to love these.... but as with all Topos shoes I have tried, your heel counter digs in and puts tremendous pressure on my achilles. After 3 miles I had two very bright red and sore spots right on them. So sorry I had to return them. I hope you will reevaluate your heel counter design and not be so harsh and aggressive with it. I dont have this issue with most other brands of road and trail shoes.
Mtn racer 1 was the best trail shoe ever. Please bring back the rip stop type uppers from the mtn racer 1

Awesome review. Great info

Ordering a pair now! 😍
Can’t wait to get my hands on a pair
Is there a wide version coming? I need that extra volume in the midfoot
Same here!

It looks great. Is the upper mesh similar to the MTN Race 2 except no lines anymore?
Already ordered a pair
when will they be available in France and Europe?

I dont understand why trail shoes have become so high. It really makes it difficult to feel the ground and increases the risk to twist ones ankle

What? Topos are wide...
please offer a first responder discount!
Wiish you had better availability in the EU market.

Seeing these guys shirts I now understand why topo's are such an ugly shoe!
I agree...What a waste putting all this effort into a shoe that looks frumpy like an old librarian...
