THANK YOU! Needed good explanations on how to play this deck. One of the first FTP decks and high skill caps is one of the best reasons why X-Bow should NEVER get nerfed. Plenty of other more dominating decks. 2.9 X-Bow does take a lot of skill to play.

I have been playing a very good 3.1 cycle lumberjack balloon deck and my friend just started to use x-bow so it is really hard to beat them but this helped to point out their errors to me
The real mistake is playing 2.9 when my opponents contain almost entirely of rg and golem (with some fun twist like rage, freeze, or over leveled minion hoard).
Both have different style of defending. In 2.6 we rely mainly on the musketeer and kite/tank with ice golem, spirit and stuff. In xbow the main defending card is actually tesla which works very different from musketeer.

Yes, that would do it. I wasted far too many matches before I learned that about this deck. I'm still not great but at least I'm not blindly running my x-bow into a Pekka, MK, RG, Giant Skel, or any other hard counter as my first play.
I’m curious about what people think about princess over archers in 2.9 are there really any advantages to using archers over princess? I feel that princess is a bit more useful and versatile and similar enough to archers to not change up the deck
Because when placed in the middle it can reach pretty much the entire opponents side meaning it’s harder to get a lock on the tower because if the opponent placed down a troop anywhere the xbow will lock onto that

Could you potentially explain to me the pros and cons of Xbow cycle and Mortar Cycle? I’m really good at both, but I’m newer to Xbow, and I can’t decide whether to invest in one or the other or even both. Is there a chance of Xbow being meta again? Is Fireball better for Xbow than rocket? (I assume so since it’s just fine if the troops attacking your Xbow have a little health left since the Xbow can take it out). Is one better for challenges? Etc. anything that might seem useful to tell me is really appreciated

Phew, at least 2.9 has some similarities with 2.6, so somewhat I found it really easy to switch to play 2.9 after 14 months of 2.6 on ladder.

Yeah having played 2.6 hog cycle really helps me be familiar with how the cards work, although I still like musky more than archers...

That's not the reason, the reason is your hand shakes while playing i also have that problem

For number 7, you can just hold down on the card in game and it will show how much crown tower damage it does.

I sometimes lose to xbow cycle but i counter it sometimes with golem deck👍
Also just as an all around tip. Remember your opponents cycle. Especially for golem decks !!!

No, if the oponent isn't playing any cards, and you can't find any value for them, you can put them at the back.
