I've experimented with a few different teams but right now my favorite is Anna (4 star), Maui (4 star), and Hiro (5 star). I love Anna's character, so it's fun to use her. I also have a 4 star Scar (my favorite villain), who is 10 levels lower than Anna, so I will grind him up sometime soon and see how he works on a mid level team. Great video!
I wish Woody was better. I love Toy story so I want to use him. I finally got Hiro but he was one star and it took forever but now he's two star. Gonna keep grinding and hope for the best in July. Maybe I'll get some birthday luck and pull him out of two star.

when youre investing, should you go for leveling up your high star characters or should you invest based on the tier list? IE lets say you have a 3 star scar and a 5 star rapunzel, which would you recommend investing in?
So it’s a tough question. 4 stars is that sweet spot to unlock the signature abilities so anyone above there is great to invest in. For early game I would follow the stars but remember eventually you will open up enough crystals to get those others ranked up. I think the tier list is a great guide, but it really comes down to the team’s synergy. Scar is great for going bleeds but what would make him even better is someone like Gaston to take advantage of those as an example.
Tough decision. If you really like a certain character definitely use them even if they are lower tier you just might struggle a bit. 4 star sweet spot but if you have a S/A tier character that is 3 star and a 5 star C/D tier character I would probably go with the 3 star. It'll save you lots of materials in the long run plus short run too. I think mid and end game the high star characters will really star to show.
@@skyslayer7660 I agree with you , although you can upgrade your “low” star character by getting him in multiple crystals, so as a 3 star it could be upgraded to a 4 without a problem, even to a 5 star, Personally I got a lot of 2 stars Zurgs, but eventually upgrade it to a 4 star
So I saw an advertisement for the game today and was blown away! Downloaded it and started to play. Have me an option to pick between 3 characters, but before I picked I decided to look up on here if there was any videos. Found this one and it helped me pick Ariel already! Hey Dan, great video. My current squad is 5 star Snow White, 4 star Micky, 4 star Maui. I really like the synergy between Snow White and Maui, because Maui's special gives Snow White constant armor and Snow White's taunt helps share the damage. My squad is finally in the 50s so I can start investing in a second squad with my lower mats. Trying to figure out which to invest in that will synergize well with my main team. I just got Mr. I to 4 star so I will definitely be investing in him with tank motes. For support, I have 4 star Belle, Tiana, and Evil Queen, but I'm thinking I'll invest in my three star Hiro as I almost have enough star dust to get him to 4 star. For ranged I'm focusing on 3 star Gaston, because my only 4 star is Merida. For melee I have both Scar and Arielle at 3 star, not sure which I should focus. I'd like to focus on synergy, but I'm not super familiar with who synergizes with who. Do you have advice on which I should target? Also, for star dust should I be adding 4 star pulls to my top toons to get them to five stars+, or using them to get my 3 star top tier characters (such as Scar, Arielle, Baymax, and Hiro) to 4 star first? A lot here but let’s break it down 😄 1. In the Stardust shop only do the 4* pulls so you get signets. But I would focus on the couple big characters like Hiro to make sure you take him to 4 stars. Him my mr. Inc will change your life 😄 2. For melee I think Ariel is the better choice. She is good for seafaring and royalty tower so will be much more helpful. 3. For the characters you have mentioned I think easy investments are Ariel to synergize with Maui and Hiro for Mr. Inc. Ariel and Snow will also help you for Royalty tower which will be nice. 4. Ranged I would go with Gaston. He is hands down the best choice after Zurg. His damage is insanely better than the rest. But if you are going to use ranged you want to grab Scrooge
I pulled a four star hiro a day ago I’ve been getting him up to speed with mr incredible my only and stitch who is my only other four star character it’s proven to be a nice team so far

Is there a way to add a smaller bubble next to characters to show they go up tiers paired with a certain guardian? I believe genie is S* tier with zurg. Genies invincible allows you to let AI use genie and it allows you to destory with Zurg. When I play I usually use a tank for the person I use because it allows way more survivability, and I can do higher content. But with Genie I just control Zurg the entire time and that allows way more DPS and survivability too. IMO. idk if this is considered.
During Beta it was 2x every other month, but with Global Launch I assume there is a chance we could see them more often like 2x a month. I have to assume we will get another Guardian or 2 this month

Genie is very good early to early mid game. Once you start to get further into late game other tanks tend to be better. But I really do like him and his rework

Does anyone have tips to make a good team around Maleficent ? I know she is not the best, but I really love her and her gameplay. But I don't know how to optimize her perfectly. I thought about the Evil Queen because she can help adding defense debuff to help Maleficent with her skill and Scrooge for the juicy bonus he gives, but I don't know.

This should be a very good team. I would say with Gaston you will get more damage once you get Scrooge paired with him but all of these characters are great to invest in
I get so confused because I see so many different tier lists. I see Hiro at the bottom on a lot, and then on this one, he’s at the top. My main support I’m investing in right now is Mickey, and then when Jack Skellington rolls around, I’ll snag him. So I get so confused. 🙈
So I honestly don’t know about all the others. I can tell you Easy has a great tier list (he has been playing the game for 2 years through Beta and I have been playing since Beta as well. On paper Hiro doesn’t look good but if you have him you will see how good he is. He is on the best Leader tower team AND the beat Hi Tech Tower team. So to but him at the bottom of a tier list is a shame. I would just say be careful. I don’t want to talk down about any creators but keep in mind there are a bunch of people making tier lists that literally just picked up the game and don’t have characters at 4 stars where they gain their signature abilities that make a huge difference. Lastly I would say Mickey and Skelly are both amazing supports and worth the investment as well so you aren’t going wrong with those picks 😁
Like I say in every video, all the guardians are good you just have to find the synergy in the teams. One driving force of the list is usability in the different modes which just means you may need 2x guardians instead of one
Both of those 4 stars are still going to be great. It’s mainly based around a team working well together and 4 star usually makes a huge difference with the signature ability unlock. Some A and S tiers aren’t nearly as good without the ability
Most of it comes down to traits with the bottom tiers. They can do fine damage but the fact they can’t be used in multiple towers or modes it hurts them a bit
I've been using Hiro, Scar and Baymax and that team has worked wonderfully for me! I was thinking of switching baymax out for Mr Incredible, but I like the baymax + scar synergy (Baymax + Hiro help scar stay alive all the time), is it worth to just go for a higher rank tank or should I keep that synergy in mind?
Synergy should always be number 1. When you get into the top 3 it just comes down to how the guardians interact. Mr. Inc is amazing but normally you tend to actually play him as your melee which wouldn’t help you current synergy… it would honestly just be a different team replacing scar most likely
Always synergy!!! Synergy actually moves certain characters up a tier some a couple tiers. I think the team you have now is 3 S tier characters because of the synergy. If you replaced baymax with another tank incredible or maui it would bring your team down a bit. So great job on a great team!!!
i'm focusing on Micky(4), Ariel(5) and Maui(4), is this good team or should I get different support or thank for best synergy? Also have Mr inc(4), hiro(4) but no Jack skellington. I'm happy to spend money to build best team, any suggestion will be appreciated.
there is a sub category in the ranking that take into account the AI use. This is the reason why the last couple months Baloo was so low. Its not a huge factor but it is a factor when overall ranking them.
I guess I should give Hiro a try. I have a 4 star but haven't leveled him. On paper his abilities sound useless. O doubt he will take the place of my 4 star Mickey or 3 star Scrooge though.
Hey Dan, beautiful video and invaluable info, thanks man. I have a question but not everyone can answer so it's nice to ask people who played in beta for years: - Are we going to see Mickey's (and other guardians who's not in common drop pool) Famed Crystal(s) or the only way to get him is buying?
everyone has a famed crystal that rotates around. So, you do not have to buy him with money, but the 9.99 deal is the best deal for any 4 star guardian in the game, usually they are 49.99 based on what they did for Tron. Mickey and Skelly will rotate around eventually to the store for famed crystals and once you unlock them they will show up in stardust as well.

I know $10 offer is the best considering it's like less than an hour work to earn that much in U.S. But unfortunately in my country you have to work like 10 hours to unlock him so x10 times expensive for me. I'll stock my orbs up and wait for his famed crystal as a hardcore f2p player.
traits mostly... He is decent damage and fun to play with, especially after his rework. But the team synergies and areas that he is "needed" for are low which puts him down lower on the list. Keep in mind in an overall since when you put all these characters together not by role he is still middle of the pack and not near the bottom overall.
Man I invested in anger heavily. His nerf is enough to make me put the game down. I hate it when gaming companies make my mains drop 6 spots. Typical Kabam game.
Keep in mind damage wise Anger is still very good. Angers issue is traits. 50% of my tier list is based on required/useable modes. He isn’t needed on any tower currently which brings him down heavily in my tier list So there there is always a new tower or mode that can get him to shoot up in the upcoming months
Keep in mind, any Guardian can be used just need to find a good team to put around them 😁 a lot of the weight on my list is in the areas you can use them rather than how much damage they do… it’s a factor but I prioritize getting the most out of a small roster if that makes sense
it honestly really surprised me too.... There is a bunch of factors and somehow, he checks a bunch of the boxes but just falls a bit short overall. next month I hope to see him jump up a bit more if we see a new character that synergizes well with him.
@@DefaultDan I'd love to see something similar to Marvel Ultimate alliance where using specific guardians together on a squad gives you specific team bonus. I think that would work wonders for team experimentation while also potentially strengthening weaker guardians on the team
@@sullysosavage365 i 100% agree. We have "requirements" but seeing specific boosts for matching characters like Mike and Sully up would be interesting and better. It doesnt have to make them OP but make them more interesting to use and more viable
Between those it probably doesn’t matter. It’s once you get them 4 stars and they get their signature abilities when they make the bigger difference. Evil Queen is good, just not used on as many modes is all
She still ticks a bunch of boxes which kept her high. The nerf hurt her but not as bad as first expected. It just took away the crazy damage she was doing but she still does really good with her teams and still a go to for royalty and seafaring towers 😄
There is many factors to the ranks… popularity isn’t one of them. There is a chance popularity is being driven by the same factors as the list though… or the list is driving that popularity. I would want to tell you to invest in a character like Baloo just to be different that popular belief if he is truly a bad character like the current popularity is telling us… but again I believe popularity is telling us that because Baloo isn’t good based on multiple factors that this list takes into account 🤔
Who is your main character? Hiro amplifies who he is with especially tech guardians. Which is that synergy I am talking about. Mickey is great and I hope they drop a Support guardian or 2 soon as I can add a third spot to S and put Micky officially there. He is great for sure.

Yeah Range has some nice diversity. What it comes down to mostly is towers and rank within their traits 😄

I was thinking of switching baymax out for Mr Incredible, but I like the baymax + scar synergy (Baymax + Hiro help scar stay alive all the time), is it worth to just go for a higher rank tank or should I keep that synergy in mind?
Synergy should always be number 1. When you get into the top 3 it just comes down to how the guardians interact. Mr. Inc is amazing but normally you tend to actually play him as your melee which wouldn’t help you current synergy… it would honestly just be a different team replacing scar most likely
Always synergy!!! Synergy actually moves certain characters up a tier some a couple tiers. I think the team you have now is 3 S tier characters because of the synergy. If you replaced baymax with another tank incredible or maui it would bring your team down a bit. So great job on a great team!!!
i'm focusing on Micky(4), Ariel(5) and Maui(4), is this good team or should I get different support or thank for best synergy? Also have Mr inc(4), hiro(4) but no Jack skellington. I'm happy to spend money to build best team, any suggestion will be appreciated.
Both teams should be pretty good, you can put Mickey on that Mr. Inc team and it should work well for the leader tower
Anger is my highest dps, on the start of the level he can burst out 3-4k dmg per skill at level 25
He is still a great damage dealer, the fact he doesn’t have good traits for the current towers and modes is his real issue

woody in B tier seems like such a mistake tbh. he is obviously made overpowered right now because of him and elsa being the event characters.
He is always been in between B and C as we have gotten into playing with him. He has some fun uses but he is very clunky on how he works

They can for a bit. They are less synergistic but maybe having Hiro or a good heal support with them would do well as a team

Does this tier list only consider the units based off of manually playing? Or does it factor in auto battle, as well?
there is a sub category in the ranking that take into account the AI use. This is the reason why the last couple months Baloo was so low. Its not a huge factor but it is a factor when overall ranking them.

I guess I should give Hiro a try. I have a 4 star but haven't leveled him. On paper his abilities sound useless. O doubt he will take the place of my 4 star Mickey or 3 star Scrooge though.
He intensifies other characters when he links to them. I honestly thought the same thing until I started using them 😁

- Are we going to see Mickey's (and other guardians who's not in common drop pool) Famed Crystal(s) or the only way to get him is buying?
everyone has a famed crystal that rotates around. So, you do not have to buy him with money, but the 9.99 deal is the best deal for any 4 star guardian in the game, usually they are 49.99 based on what they did for Tron. Mickey and Skelly will rotate around eventually to the store for famed crystals and once you unlock them they will show up in stardust as well.

Who was the guardian you chose at the beginning. That team isn’t terrible but you will want to find a better guardian than sparrow over time.

Why is stitch always so low. I see him but I haven’t heard a reason why
traits mostly... He is decent damage and fun to play with, especially after his rework. But the team synergies and areas that he is "needed" for are low which puts him down lower on the list. Keep in mind in an overall since when you put all these characters together not by role he is still middle of the pack and not near the bottom overall.
Can i reset a character and get my resources back?
Unfortunately no. But you will need multiples of the same role eventually when hitting certain rank ups on them so it’s never totally wasted

Man I invested in anger heavily. His nerf is enough to make me put the game down. I hate it when gaming companies make my mains drop 6 spots. Typical Kabam game.
Keep in mind damage wise Anger is still very good. Angers issue is traits. 50% of my tier list is based on required/useable modes. He isn’t needed on any tower currently which brings him down heavily in my tier list
So there there is always a new tower or mode that can get him to shoot up in the upcoming months
So should I start investing in my 1-star aladdin and snow white over my 3-star mulan and hercules?
My best team is a bunch of low tier characters :( my best and favorite was Eve :(
Keep in mind, any Guardian can be used just need to find a good team to put around them 😁 a lot of the weight on my list is in the areas you can use them rather than how much damage they do… it’s a factor but I prioritize getting the most out of a small roster if that makes sense

it honestly really surprised me too.... There is a bunch of factors and somehow, he checks a bunch of the boxes but just falls a bit short overall. next month I hope to see him jump up a bit more if we see a new character that synergizes well with him.
@@DefaultDan I'd love to see something similar to Marvel Ultimate alliance where using specific guardians together on a squad gives you specific team bonus. I think that would work wonders for team experimentation while also potentially strengthening weaker guardians on the team
@@sullysosavage365 i 100% agree. We have "requirements" but seeing specific boosts for matching characters like Mike and Sully up would be interesting and better. It doesnt have to make them OP but make them more interesting to use and more viable

Between those it probably doesn’t matter. It’s once you get them 4 stars and they get their signature abilities when they make the bigger difference. Evil Queen is good, just not used on as many modes is all

She still ticks a bunch of boxes which kept her high. The nerf hurt her but not as bad as first expected. It just took away the crazy damage she was doing but she still does really good with her teams and still a go to for royalty and seafaring towers 😄

There is many factors to the ranks… popularity isn’t one of them. There is a chance popularity is being driven by the same factors as the list though… or the list is driving that popularity. I would want to tell you to invest in a character like Baloo just to be different that popular belief if he is truly a bad character like the current popularity is telling us… but again I believe popularity is telling us that because Baloo isn’t good based on multiple factors that this list takes into account 🤔

Who is your main character? Hiro amplifies who he is with especially tech guardians. Which is that synergy I am talking about. Mickey is great and I hope they drop a Support guardian or 2 soon as I can add a third spot to S and put Micky officially there. He is great for sure.
