Thanks so much for posting, I thought I had a previous gen GIPro and was turning on/off my ignition! Did not realize that I could just touch the top of it! Result.
Thank you for this!
Great video, subbed and following 👍🏼
Just saved me so much time as I've lost the instructions.
I googled the instructions to start with but unbeknown to me they were for the older version so I'd been turning the ignition on & off 6 times and pulling my hair out.
Thank you. 👍
Same her man. Had so much trouble until I sat down and figured it out. Glad the video could help you.
Thanks for the video 👍 worked perfectly
Usefull explanation, thanks for the video
That was good 👍
Best regards from germany
Looks great in white. Nice to see some other colours rather than red. I'm considering getting one. I had a Datatool Digi for 8 years that worked perfectly but recently failed due to water ingress. I think the glue finally gave up. They are discontinued now. The Datatool had a built in light dependent resistor to automatically adjust brightness which was a nice feature. Great to see you can adjust the brightness on this one too. The fact that you can install it without splicing the loom is another good feature. How is the quality? Does it feel solid?
Thanks for all the detailed videos on the install and programming! I can't believe how easy it is to get a working gear indicator compared to the cutting and splicing I was expecting to do lol. Where did you get those levers from?
@@Sky9ine oh for sure. I’d love to get some ASV levers at some point but I can’t justify it as long as these work
I am looking to purchase a Healtech gear indicator but was wondering how bright the white is. I saw another TH-cam video of a guy that had white and he said it was bright even in sunlight. How do you like your indicator?
It’s great, wish I would have got one sooner. You can change the brightness of them so if it’s too bright you can dim it
I have a GP-shift setup, when I installed mine I was "short" a gear because first is up. Should I start the Learning mode and follow the steps as usual ?
Great vid, what’d you use to stick the indicator to the center console?
SnowDrift thanks for the reply. Tried the double sided tape it came with and it wouldn’t hold at all.
@@hugop888 yeah same for me. i cleaned the contact areas with alcohol before applying the tape and its been holding great. I always keep extra tape and zip ties in my tail though for stuff like this.
SnowDrift thanks for the tips! 3 months in, how’s the gear indicator working out for you? Gonna install mine this weekend.
hugo888 I love it man. Definitely worth it. I’m not going to pretend like I always know what gear I’m in. Some dickhead out there will say “I always know what gear I’m in and if you don’t then you aren’t a real biker” or some various of that bullshit. My mind is always working and sometimes I wish I could just turn it off, but with that being said I will inevitably forget what gear I’m in and the indicator literally makes me a better rider because it takes the guesswork out of the equation for me, and if you notice, every single new motorcycle has one from the factory. So there’s definitely something to be said there.
work on the DRZ$)) SM ?
Am I doing something wrong here. Have done everything like in video, have all the gears 1-6, but it doesn’t show 0 when in neutral it shows the - symbol.
Is this correct, I’ve tried everything to get it to show 0 while in neutral, but it will only show - symbol.
If it’s supposed to show the - symbol while in neutral as opposed to the 0 symbol well then that answers the query.
Ps….. I have other HEALTECH LED INDICATORS on diff bikes and they show the 0 symbol when in neutral.
Thank you.
Personally I’m not sure. It may be that different models have different indications. If the indicator cycles through the correct gears as you are riding then I’d say that it’s fine.
Instructions on their website.
Thank you
A LITTLE BIT LONG , BUT WELL DONE.
My GiPro gear indicator has started displaying the gears upside down and reversed... Showing E for 3 etc. Any help?

Haven't you forgot to rev up the engine to 3-4000 rpm and hold the rev while programing ?
Mine wont go into learning can you help?
You may have to disconnect the battery and reconnect it. I had issues with this recently
#rip Nicky Hayden
The technology isn't that great. You still have to choose your colour before you buy as Healtech cannot programme it to be enable different colour displays or text..
I actually talked about this in my overall review of it. Would be real nice if they could do that for us. Still considering my bike is an 06 with very little upgrades the technology for me was insane
I have the GIpro X-type G2 and in order for it to learn the gears you have to give & hold throttle. It will continue to slowly flash whatever gear it's trying to learn until you give throttle. Literally just this moment finished this process for my 07 Honda ST1300.
Thanks for the video as it taught me how to access & scroll the menu!
