Thank you! Enjoy having you here. Amazing how we met around this hobby and our friendship has grown over the years! All the best to you, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Congratulations on the 40th anniversary of the TM&N! I just came across your layout. It's beautiful! Good luck with your new chapter in life. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!
Congrats on 40 years of the TM&N Al! It was your decoder install videos that inspired me to get back into the hobby and customizing locomotives is still one of my favourite parts of it. Awesome that you get to do this for a living now. Merry Christmas to you and your family. All the best in the new year. -Ben
Thank you Ben! I work on locomotives either installing decoders, or fixing damage from falls to the floor almost every day now, and I never get tired of it. Hope to catch more of your videos soon too! Merry Christmas to you and yours as well!
I'm glad to hear and see you, sir. Congratulations on the new job. Getting paid to play with trains. You also have a very merry Christmas and a safe new years
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸To go from a trucker to a model train tech is quite cool! That hobby is quite exciting! I’m glad you found that opening. Cool layout. We get into model trains, real trains & trucks! WOW! Thanks for sharing. Blessings my friend. 🤩😎✌️
Thank you for coaxing me to update. I am amazed at the outpouring of comments this time around. We share a wonderful hobby with some awesome people, and the ideas we share inspire us to not be afraid to try new things! Cheers to you too Boomer!
I am happy that you can move around and still be able to work! In 2021 I had emergency surgery on my neck! Now I have to use a walker to get around! I can do some work on the dining room table and others on the layout!! Plus I have to have help in carrying items from the table to the layout (layout is in our basement)which makes it difficult for me and those that assist me! I was always on the go! So be thankful that you have your mobility! Merry Christmas to you and you’re yours! Thanks for sharing! PS, I’m a big UP/CPKC fan (dislike BNSF & SF)! Keep railroading!
hey man, long time no see, great to hear from you! 40 years, WOW, that's amazing! Good luck on you new adventures. Have a safe and happy holiday season. Terry
Hey Terry, glad to hear from you as well. Been so busy this year, and is nice to reach out to the many commentors on my video. Thanks for watching and all the best this season!
Just found your channel, Intercity very likely will be getting some repair work as like you I was a truck driver till a tire blow out took my face apart and screwed up a eye.
My first encounter with the SD40-2 was summer 1993. Grain, propane, coal, sulphur, potash and containers, Morant’s Curve, Spiral Tunnels, 80+ cars with 3 SDs on the lead and 2 in the middle. I didn’t know all the details I do now, just that I was hooked on the sound of the 645s, the scale of everything, the ghostly horns and the Pac Man logo. I’m still infected and model in N!
First time viewing your channel and layout. Beautiful! I immeadently notice your cork screw t-shirt saying," Screw It!" Thats a perfect moto for us Model Railroad Hobbyists'. SCREW EVERYTHING, I'M GOING TO GO RUN MY TRAINS! Lol🤣 Christmas time is such a awsom mood enhancer for model train enthusists. I love fall the most, but Winter is great too. Definitly gives a wonderful excuse to go hide out in our train rooms. I'll subscribe today. I'd like to see your layout updates and some opr. from time to time. I love the way you modeled the upper level and lower level mountian plus valley tracks, in such a way, it dispalys real vivid trains opr., on both lines at the same time. Giving the overall effect of a huge layout larger than it really is. I'm currently involved in my 3rd and final layout. Its a module branchline industrial switching, point to point, layout. Freelance, with a bit prototypical influence. Its named "Company West & Katy Industrail Branchline Railroad". Company West is a independent rail contractor company that operates and maintians the 12 mile, (imaginitive not to scale), line. It fictionaly connects 1.5 miles South of Cougar Yard Interchange, with the MKT Class One Railroad, loosly set in the 1970's. The company has independent contracts with the five industries, in the fictional Oklahoma town of Ink Falls, for the successful transport of inbound/outbound freight, and a independent contract agreement with MKT, in all transportation movement of the local industries mfg. products, in a safe, proper, and timely manor. I'm currently in the track installation stage. The layout is in HO Scale. My hope is for this one to be the best I've ever built. Though always far from perfect, it'll be good enough to especially bring me much joy, in my older years. I'm 56 yrs. old living on Fedral Disability for the past 23 years. Its a slow and long financual journey building a layout with just a monthly income. I started 3 1/2 years ago on this build. I'd left the hobby and sold all I had 13 years ago. What a challange its been starting from scratch! My advice to anyone selling out and leaving the hobby, BOX UP AND KEEP YOUR STUFF STORED AWAY, YOU'LL BE BACK! Its alot easier to begin again with a jumpstart! God Bless and Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year friends!👌👍
Thank you for your kind words. I have to say that your an inspiration to others with your story. We have the best hobby in the world, I would say. I scratch built or poured Plaster in molds. Thanks for watching!
Nice layout !
Thank you!
Awesome video. I'm close to retirement and looking at a hobby to keep me busy. But you must have 20K $ worth of locomotives alone.
Thank you. I have amassed a few locos over the years ,lol. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Just found your channel. I do 2 rail O.
Thanks for watching!
Happy new year!!! 🍺?
At 2:10 . What is the car in front of the locomotive?? It looks like a boxcar. Is it a repeater car or radio equipment car?
It is a robot car that houses radio equipment to control the mid train locomotive. Thanks for watching!
Nice looking layout, what is the size of the layout?
Thank you! 20 x 26 ft
I never knew that there was a train store there. Of course closed sundays and mondays, my days off.
We have an online store and its open 24/7. We also ship everywhere. Thanks for watching!
