I've been an avid fan of surf rock music since 1963 when I was 11 years old. Thank you very much for recording these amazing new tracks, the world a better place because of you.
I’m 15, and I’ve been looking at instrumental music that’s like hippie, surfish vibes because I just saw some old photos when I was younger hanging with my step dads friends and all, and it draws me back to those memories. Everything has changed, and it’s beyond crazy. I guess growing up is part of realization and all, but man do I miss it. Even listening to this right now kinda reminds me when my dad and his friends would play music while I was just playing around, cluelessly. I’m much older, or at least I somewhat am, and man how I wish I can relive those memories. Makes me think how everyone has their own life story and certain things that make people feel absurd, yet so alive.
Totally digging this! Have been learning surf guitar for a few years. Stoked to hear some surf guitar coming outa Sydney Australia. Do you teach? I’d be interested in lessons. If not all good. Cheers for the music!!!!!
I grew up in Maine. I lived on the Atlantic coast, however, Downeast Maine isn't exactly well known for it's surfing culture! LMAO . Even if there were big enough waves to surf, you wouldn't want to, unless you enjoy being splattered all over jagged rocks. The only surf rock we heard growing up were the biggest radio hits by Jan & Dean and the Beach Boys. There just wasn't much of a market for it where I lived I guess. I've never heard most of these songs and feel like I missed out on a lot of great music when I was a kid. Of course that was back when California was still a part of the normal world. Anything coming from California today can stay in California IMO.
