Ciao Paolo. I always enjoy your videos. I've been to Bormio four times, but have never done Mortirolo. I knew it was extremely hard, but had heard it was not a beautiful climb. From your video, it certainly looks beautiful. I will give it a try next time. Adding the mighty Gavia in the same ride is beyond me (I've climbed the Bormio side of Gavia out and back). Congratulations on a great accomplishment.
@@craigarcuri2930 thanks for the comment! About Mortirolo, it is true that there are more scenic climbs in the area but I have enjoyed it nonetheless. As I attempted it really early in the morning I also encountered no traffic, except for a single tractor. My objective this year was to attempt 3000m elevation in a single ride, which is why I went ahead with this plan 😁 I admit attempting both climbs at the same time having never done them before was a bit crazy but sometimes one feels brave enough 😂 The Gavia from Bormio is one of the best routes I have done so far, I love it! Both the ascent and then descending back to Bormio. Thanks again!
@@PaoloTagliaferri That is awesome Paolo. It was brave, haha. I'm not sure what your options were if you didn't make it back up the Gavia!! Yes, I love Gavia from Bormio as well. And the descent is perfect if not for those cobbles. Cobbles are for watching Paris-Roubaix, haha. Cheers.
