  • We take our 3.8m tinny and spend 5 nights camping at Whitehaven Beach and other islands in the Whitsunday Island group. We experience conditions not suitable for a small tinny such as rough oceans, strong winds and rain but in the end have the adventure of a life time.

Great adventure in a smallish boat. Is the sea jay a v bottom boat or flat with v hull pls?
Btw you got to get into the oysters they have many benifits for males

Yeah it’s a V shaped hull. As for the oysters I don’t mind some, preferably Killpatrick but those fresh ones weren’t that great 😀

Hey Tom. Thanks for the comment! You can book camping at the various islands at parks.desi.qld.gov.au/parks/whitsunday-islands/camping/whitehaven-beach-whitsunday-island?
There were no fires allowed where we camped but not sure about other camp sites. It wasn’t expensive and rates are at the link above. The other thing to remember is you have to take everything you need with you. Water, food, camp gear, fuel etc as there are no provisions oit there. there is a company called Scamper who will take you camping gear and drop it at the various camp spots for you if you wish.
