Yes you need a break after all that hard, and I mean really hard work! And running a shop. I just painted my hallway and I'm exhausted! This is why they invented summer! 😊 stop and smell the roses as you have many, many of them! Go to the beach, its the most restorative way to recharge. Be still, read a book and watch some good movies.

It's a long room and I like that you're breaking it up into several little conversation areas, but why do I feel like turning the couch around to face the skylight and moving it to the mirror area with the current coffee table? And then do all the small club chair's around the fireplace area with another little coffee table and side tables. I feel like it will look so welcoming from all angles like that. Purely a suggestion. I have similar design delimas. ❤

Hi Elise, on your question of how to put a window in, something I have done so far is put some lace sheers upon the wall with a silky gold puffy trim curtain on top with a ceramic wall piece in the middle of the curtains, and added a tuft of greenery on top and have big golden rinds tones tie backs, and a small stream of the rinds stones in the middle of the curtains, my next addition to it would be a sheet painted mural,or pretty shower curtain print to hang behind the curtains. Could add a windowpane frame look on top, and some floor lights below, or another spot around it, then to top it off putting a column stand with a square top with either a plant on top or a registry book and a plant behind it. That’s just my vision, but the main idea could have different added things, a hanging potted plant...well, maybe some of the ideas could give you some hints of what you would like to create 🌸🖼🥰❣️

Hello Elise, first I would like to say that your home is very lovely, cozy, and inviting, and the skylight came out amazing, but I was wondering about lighting during the evening for your dining space and living space? Maybe a beautiful chandelier in each space would look lovely and give some lighting for those evenings you would like to just chill with a nice dinner and a glass of wine or even an evening just vibing on your sofa with a good book. But of course the lighting has to come with dimmers to set your mood. Just thought I would make a suggestion 🫶🏼

My thoughts on the position of furniture. Center the fireplace in brick wall, couch facing fireplace. Two chairs that are in center to left of couch facing garden with a small table between. Othe chair on right facing dining area but closer to fireplace so not to block view of garden. Mirror horizontal on back wall. Painting above fireplace. Pull dining nook to center of skylights and hang plants from beams. Do gallery wall on side of brick wall where it is painted white. Seperate rooms that flow together but are still their own areas. I love the green dress best, but you always make the clothes look great. You are living well and it shows on your entire person. Id put the embroidery by the front door as you leave . Reminder when you became single, you got your home. On your own!!! Happy for you..
I was a little surprised at first by your choice of dining room furniture but with each subsequent video, it’s really growing on me. It’s such an unusual setup for a formal dining space if you think about it. But I’m beginning to see your vision. You are a very talented and creative individual with your own unique personality. Hello Elise, first I would like to say that your home is very lovely, cozy, and inviting, and the skylight came out amazing, but I was wondering about lighting during the evening for your dining space and living space? Maybe a beautiful chandelier in each space would look lovely and give some lighting for those evenings you would like to just chill with a nice dinner and a glass of wine or even an evening just vibing on your sofa with a good book. But of course the lighting has to come with dimmers to set your mood. Just thought I would make a suggestion 🫶🏼

My thoughts on the position of furniture. Center the fireplace in brick wall, couch facing fireplace. Two chairs that are in center to left of couch facing garden with a small table between. Othe chair on right facing dining area but closer to fireplace so not to block view of garden. Mirror horizontal on back wall. Painting above fireplace. Pull dining nook to center of skylights and hang plants from beams. Do gallery wall on side of brick wall where it is painted white. Seperate rooms that flow together but are still their own areas. I love the green dress best, but you always make the clothes look great. You are living well and it shows on your entire person. Id put the embroidery by the front door as you leave . Reminder when you became single, you got your home. On your own!!! Happy for you..
In summer there are not so many orders, it's the same with my online vintage shop...People are outside and don't browse the internet so much.
I was a little surprised at first by your choice of dining room furniture but with each subsequent video, it’s really growing on me. It’s such an unusual setup for a formal dining space if you think about it. But I’m beginning to see your vision. You are a very talented and creative individual with your own unique personality. Such a neat idea with the painting, Elise! Sometimes I see floral paintings and I love everything about them except for one color and then I don’t get them. I never thought about changing it slightly.
