I have seen these before, but unfortunately, my DeWalt portable table saw has an aluminum top. It is flat but it makes the saw lighter weight and less expensive. Colin Knecht has several videos where he makes several styles of jigs that use the magnets to hold them to the table saw.
Looking forward to the sander unveiling. I had a case of trigger finger bought on by using sanders that were cheap but vibrated really badly. I had to get cortisone injections to get my fingers working again!
I have 3 magswitch various angles but I use them for making fire pits and other fabrications my table saw is steel and I have 2 of those which came in handy as I only have 1 t track on my saw works great
Like you I have tried to find a reasonably priced UK seller of magswitches, I'm going to get one of these and look at the range of possible uses, thanks for the suggestion
I have to be the Devil's advocate here.. This is not a great idea. One should never alter any safety equipment, especially el cheapo stuff off Amazon. Once you start cutting pieces out or off you are messing with the overall structural integrity of the piece of equipment. Honestly, to save a few quid or a few minutes of setup time it just isn't worth it.
I get what you’re saying Phil, but some of us simply don’t have the £80 available for a magnetic featherboard. I didn’t and so I never used one. This has increased my safety and given me a tool that I can use for a bunch of stuff 😊
Thanks for the heads up. Going to use it to hold my vac hose near my drill press

Thanks for this, just bought 2 and have done the feather board thing…😃😃😃
I hope you like them as much as I do!

My pleasure
Brilliant I've had a couple of the redundant since a change in careers one is going to be holding my table saw fence stiff
Also I'm wondering if one set on a rail on the planer with a dti would be any use for setting blades
That's a great idea Dean. The mag switches I've seen before are out of my price range mate but these are a much more affordable option 👍
Same here!
Bosch?
Morning
