I’d definitely recommend upping the swing and putting difficulty to hard instead of playing on normal, that should give you more of the mishits off the tee you’re looking for! Love the series so far I’m really having a ton of fun with the game!

Thank you! So yeah the default swing speed is a very fast flick of the stick. You could edit your golfers swing and make the tempo slower which may help.
Hi Ryan quick question, Love your videos!! I have looked everywhere but I cannot find a practice range or putting green like 2k has. Did EA not add a practice area to the game? Thanks.

Really nice round 2! Definitely a learning curve. What the heck happened on the 14th hole? You hit the ball through the green and it landed just past the fringe. But then it had you hit the next shot way up on a hill! That was a head scratcher. I notice a couple of putts broke the opposite way of the grid lines. The balls seem to run out way too far and way too fast. And please EA, stop the face closeups after every shot!! Cheers!
Thank you Thomas!!! Yeah that was such a weird glitch on 14. I think a lot of the rollouts is due to Ryan having low control stats which you can think of as spin. Also I do not have a lot of shot types unlocked or upgraded yet. I personally love that progression of starting low and building up. Yeah the face close ups should be able to be turned off!
“Anything can happen” after the 10th 😂 remember, you’re not playing insane AI like in PGA 2k yet. Those eagle hole outs will be fewer and further in between 😂
The green lines are a bug. I had them and the putting line contradicted the green lines. Great game though. Also i've seen those fast rolls through rough and it's way too fast.
Yeah some of the roll outs are insane, especially with your created players low overall skills at the beginning of the game. Adding loft can help add some spin to the shot. So as soon as you can improve your characters control will help add more spin on the shots.
@Gamer Ability ok I will try that because my created golfer is just brutal right now lol...sometimes I can get top 10 in the pga tour but not often...I should have started in the first option forsure lol

Yeah honestly the game has felt pretty solid at 30 fps on the series X for me. I think they have slowed things down intentionally to make the 30 fps less noticeable. I do notice some input delay and such from the 30 fps but it does not really affect the swing too much for me because the backswing is slow.
I thought that at first, but then realized soon that Tour is good for now. I do end up increasing the AI difficulty for the next tournament! So the course conditions for this event are not very tough. But wow does it get much harder in Part 4 and beyond
Yeah I love 2K23, it is a great game! I am definitely still playing it! Now this game may be easy to hit fairways, but as you will see starting episode 4 this game can be very challenging. Especially short game. This course was set up at the closer tees and was not hard conditions.
I can't believe people like this game. Awful sound mechanics. Fist pumps off the tee. The ball travels through the putting animation with the club at a weird angle every time. On the second hole of this video, a 12 footer is missed and the player smiles and thanks the crowd like he sunk it. It's so cringey.
I do in Part 4. Part 4 is a big step up in difficulty in course and I did change AI a little and it worked out nicely. This first tournament was a good way to start though, not knowing how the AI would score
@@MrRollup10 So unfortunately you cannot pick the exact number of rounds for each event. You can either do quick round or all 4 rounds. In quick round you play the key holes. But yeah AI pairings are once you get to the PGA Tour.
@@GamerAbility well that's garbage because the career mode trailer 100% showed the ability to change the number of rounds per event, not just quick or full. So that means they removed that feature unless it's part of the full release on Friday or something.

I will definitely still be playing 2K23, I love that game! But I am having a lot of fun in this one right now as well. So although I will be playing more EA right now because it is new, that does not mean I am finished with 2K. I am just glad to have multiple golf games to play at the same time, along with playing a lot of MLB The show and WWE.

Thank you @angel8587! Yeah I think this game is very approachable for someone new to a golf game. Now the game does not really have an apparent tutorial, but there are tutorial challenges in the challenge mode menu. If you are on the fence about it, the best thing to do is get a month of EA Play for 5 dollars. This will allow you to play a 10 hour trial of the full game which will help you know if it is the game for you. You could always cancel EA play after that month if you no longer want it. Because it you do not end up liking the game in the trial you will save 65 dollars. And if you like it and buy it anyways you may be spending more, but it is worth trying out first.

Game looks very fun! Is there some form of having to adjust for foot lies? I know in 2K you have to hold LB (on xbox) to look at your foot lie
So yes it actually gives you a lie angle number in degrees of the ball relative to feet, but there are no grid lines to show it.
It just takes like an hour to complete your desired sponsor challenges to get all the gear that you like. 👍🏾

So you cannot play two player career together at the same time
But you can have 2 different players and switch between them for career mode
So in local quick play you can play 2 players and even add 2 AI CPU pros! They do not always make the best decisions but it is fun!

Increase the AI scoring difficulty. It's way too low. Try 75

Would you recommend EA or 2k? I’m leaning towards ea because they have the majors and better courses.
