- Hill country beauty abounds along the banks of the Colorado River in central Texas. In this video I tour all of the public access roads in Colorado Bend State Park. check out this Texas State Parks Virtual Tour!
If you are looking for a quiet campground then Colorado Bend State Park is a place you really should visit! In this Texas State Parks Virtual Tour you will see that The park covers 5,328.3 acres of rolling Texas hill country and features lots of wild life. This park is truly a remote piece of wilderness for campers. There are no electrical or water connections at the campsites. There are vault toilets and community water faucets.
I was forced to shoot Colorado Bend State Parks from two different moving plateforms, Little Red of course as well as a dash cam in Ms V Our V.
This was the very first time that I have been “pulled over” by law enforcement on my mobility scooter as well!
Come along with me on this Texas State Parks Virtual Tour of Colorado Bend State Park

Well, here it is , 5 years after you posted this video, and im watching it again. Thinking about boondocking out here for several days in november. just me and the dog ,and a fishin pole.
Thanks for stopping by and Thanks a whole bunch for watching!
What a beautiful park. Looks like you were the only RV. You are the man. Leon and Buster will love this park. Deb said to leave them park rangers alone. Thanks BB
I hear that on busy weekends it is crowded and loud. I think this will be great when it is cooler and the kids are in school. Thanks for your support!
Busted again. I must say that was at least a pleasant encounter with the officer. Enjoyed and Thumbs up from here.
He was very professional, most of the park rangers are, it is the park hosts that tend to get nasty about it. thanks for watching!
If you ever reshoot this park (and future parks), please point out the various campsite numbers. Thanks
I dont think you appreciate the magnitude of what you are asking. consider how long that would make the videos for Inks Lake or Cedar Hill State Parks. Thanks for watching!
@@DudeRV Those pesky logistics, always getting in the way! Your response makes perfect sense, thks.
@@gnordt7519 I do appreciate your understanding. I have documented well over 200 public campgrounds in Texas and have learned a few lessons along the way and one of those is that most viewers dont really want videos more that 20 min or so.
Here is the tool that you are looking for. 360 degree views of every campsite.....www.campgroundviews.com?aff=45043
Dude, can you provide any information on riding ebikes in the campgrounds and on biking trails? I enjoy your videos. Very entertaining, informative and scenic.
as long as you can actually pedal it like a bicycle you can ride on roads and bike trails. make sure the trails are identified as bicycle trails. thanks for watching!
Bob, nice video. Do you still sell travel trailers?
I never really "sold" travel trailers. I was marketing for two different dealers. More like a pitch man or a "barker" for them rather than sales.
It just amazes me how much attention you get from the park Police. i guarantee you people are complaining on you. So many people just can not stand to see someone else enjoying them self. Whats funny is that your scooter is probably running closer to the speed limit than they are driving at probably double the posted speed limit lol.
You are so right about that! I am always amazed at how fast people drive in our state parks! Most times it is not other park visitors that "turn me in" it is the people who work in the park, parks hosts and maintenance staff. they dont know what they dont know. Thanks for watching and subbing!
Are you mad at Little Red, you sure are putting Little Red to the test, I heard him crying Help Me, anyway that's a pretty Park, wonder why they don't update it, at least update the bathrooms, anyway sure was a rough road, btw. Why are you getting all that recognition all of a sudden from the rangers. Do you have a sign on the rear saying (STOP ME), Enjoyed the video as always REMEMBER JESUS LOVES YOU.
I am not in any way mad at Little Red! sad for if anything as the company that I purchased my scooter from would rather Little Red have problems as opposed to living up to their commitment.
Part of the reason that they dont upgrade this park is because every spring it gets flooded and covered by fast moving water. funny thing is that I have had this exact same encounter at just about every park that I visit! I have had park rangers come into my camp and threaten to have me removed from the park if I continue riding my scooter. I carry a copy of the ADA documents that outline regulations on mobility scooters but I have rarely every had to pull them out. I just stand my ground and they always back down and go looking for the boss to clear things up, the "boss" never ever makes an appearance.
I didn't realize you were getting so much harassment, with little red, so sorry, I can tell you this, a lot of it is jealousy, and the seem to be over using their authority, they need to be watching for other law breakers, like speeding, and drinking in public, and being nosey. Ms Betty said they ought to be glad bout you showing the parks, for in doing this it's helps them have a job. Oh well, hang in there, and know JESUS LOVES YOU, and we have you in our prayers.
@@peacehavenpointe1454 in there defense, most dont know that Little Red is a mobility scooter because it does not fit their expectations of a mobility scooter and many have never encountered someone who knows the rules as well as or better than they do. I it my job to educate them so that others do not encounter the same oppression. Give my love to Ms Betty!
