But the question is how good is the seal
What’s the longest run a dryer vent can take to go out of the house and how many bends can it have?
Ultimately you want the run as short as possible and less bends as possible. One thing I would not use is any flex pipe. Flex pipe is a “NO” for any dryer. Run solid 4” duct so lint doesn’t build up and burn out your element.
The other advantage to using solid duct work is it can be cleaned easily if you try to clean flex it will crack and break.
35 feet is the longest code allows, generally. However, a 90-degree bend in the ducting counts as 5 feet, and a 45-degree bend counts as 2 1/2 feet. So if your vent run was 20 feet with 2 90s, it's considered a 30-foot vent run.
