Hello Reajun! The first stanza are Matigsalog words which translates to: Sa pagsikat ng araw, Sa pagsikat ng araw, Aakyat tayo sa bundok, Aakyat tayo sa bundok, Magtanim ng kamote, Magtanim ng saging, At kamoteng kahoy Upang sa darating na mga bukas May kakainin tayo... (MATIGSALOG) Ka asulom no aldow Ka asulom no aldow Undiyo kit bubongan Undiyo kit bubongan Påmakol kit kasilo Pamugso ki to sahing Pamula kit binggala So duog ka kuon ta Title of the song: Yutang Mabungahon The melody of the first stanza is based on a traditional melody (song) from Matigsalog peple which they call " Ulahing", with words written by a lumad student named "Mila" in a songwriting workshop which i facilitated sometime around 2016. Dinagdagan ko po ng dalawang stanza with a relatively new melodic pattern, at nilapatan ng musika together with musicians from Kuntaw and Silayan and invited Matigsalog kids from the group Musikal, and we named ourselves as Tagapukaw Earth Music Collective.
