But each time I would turn him down. I thought the music was beneath me and not as cool as Western music. Many years have passed. Now I love this music. Now I am sad that I will never get to see the great maestro perform. He is gone from this world. My Dad, however, is still here, but he is now near ninety and is completely deaf. Rasiya means "Bhanvra", the honey suckling insect. I believe this is Panditji's own composition because I never heard any vocalist nor instrumentalist ever play it. In the initial part, one can actually sense the happy roaming of the Bhanwra in a flowering garden, to get the choicest honey and in drut part, one can sense that the Bhanwra, having drunk honey to it's own contentment, simply roams from flower to flower, singing merrily. This composition is exclusive in its cheerful tone.

Pt. Ravishankar is accompanied on Tabla by Kanai Dutt in this melodious captivating recital that keeps you spellbound, and its melody lingers on long after it is over.
or was it Pt. Chaturlaljee on tabla?
Am guessing so as Panditjee's many popular recordings ot yesteryears were with Pt. Chaturlaljee while both were attached with AIR, Delhi
It was Kanai Dutt. Unique rendition of tabla.
