love the rogue tourist. I miss hero cards. Reno is getting boring, and the headless horseman is cool, but I can't make a deck work around it, it's always kinda just there, and maybe it kinda does something. I wish there was a deck that benefitted from cycling cards like cycle rogue, with the added benefit that headless horseman, and his head, would be found faster.
Druid: legendary summons locations Mage: legendary gives 2 cost divine shield minions Rogue: legendary gives access to some of the most OP cards in the game One of these things is not like the others
It's not that comparable as the rewards have two requirements (play this card and then play cards from other classes), and then you have to pay mana to play the treasures themselves. Way more friction for the rogue reward than the druid legendary
Rogue sometimes gets run over by the faster decks and doesn't have time to play a 6 mana card. I think that will be a good card to out-value hyper-defensive decks, but you won't get much value out of it against Paladin, Warlock, Hunter, Death Knight, Mage, Shaman, or Demon Hunter. It's just too slow.
ngl, the fact Eudora says "Go on a sidequest" but the treasure hunt says quest instead of sidequest (from descent of dragons) is maybe kind of causing me psychic damage
But it's so hard and interesting to play! You have to look at which cards are highlighted green in your hand and then drag the one with the biggest number onto the board!
Tell me you only started playing since 3 expansions ago without telling me. Paladin has been mid for years and now when it's dominating everyone loses their minds. But when druid was nuts for years then its "Oh that's just druid being druid"
@@juusto3_352 lynessa causes spells 2 and under to be cast twice, so oh manager deals 4 damage and generates 2 coins. Each of those coins generates 2 mana. 2x2=4
I appreciate the Easter Egg on Oh, Manager featuring that Warlock minion from Stormwind that said "Manager!" when it attacks. Something, Something Customer. Yeah, I could just look it up 🤔😅
Always? Are there previous Rogue-Warlock cards I don't know about? It's def a good combo though. I appreciate that they gave the 3 classes that never get weapons access to the biggest weapon classes
I really like this rogue set. I think Swarthy Swordshiner is a perfect rogue card. I'm surprised it took this long to get a card with its kind of effect. It synergizes perfectly with the Rogue hero power and with the classic rogue identity of tempo. It's a card that I would not be surprised to see get the Core treatment down the line.
Eudora i think on paper looks kinda meh but will be pretty strong in practice. The tourist cards allow you to just run good cards from another class in your main deck and she is just very scary once you get the quest completed. She is very annoying to play against cause your opponent can't let you establish anything on board because if you got some of the buff spells like banana you could just overrun them the next turn but they themselves can't really commit to much either because of how many aoe and single target board clears are in there. As soon as they play into one of the treasures you very likely just win due to the value you get which makes it very annoying to play against. Of course its very inconsistent and sometimes you'll just get crap but its such a mental game card that i think you can win just of the mental game alone which makes it a pretty good card. Like if your opponent trys playing around the board clears fe you can just win even if you don't have them because they play suboptimal for the cards they have on hand aso. They might be able to kill you in 2 turns but decide not to and kill your board because of the lethal you might got with the right spells and loose because of that. Its just kinda impossible to play against this card without gambling your win because if you try to avoid playing into it you might just leave your opponent to much room but if you risk playing into it you might just loose to a treasure. Its really annoying to figure out what to do if your opponent gets 2 of those they can still choose. Without knowing what they got you are kinda fkt most cases unless you kill them right in that same turn
love that this set is designed to have a far more complicated meta. my sense of a surprise drop new class feels very unlikely after the tourist mechanic was announced as the mechanic tho...
I can imagine some pretty long turns with the rogue location, Lunessa, and a handful of coins. Also Turn 3 Shill > Turn 4 Lunessa, Coin, 2xManager, Profit. Hearthstone is a nutty game I don't play though so that may not even be very good. Sounds fun though.
Eudora actually seems really strong, particularly in thief rogue, since you can run warlock, but in thief, you kinda just complete the quest naturally, and when you play Eudora, you can just bounce her. Greedy, sure, but that's the pirate way.
I have mained Thief Rogue for the longest time. The deck's biggest struggle is making a consistent board presence early game and keeping up with early pushes. Getting tools and value has never been a problem. I really do not think these cards are going to push the deck that much further. They definitely add more ability to generate better cards, but they do not impact the end goal that much honestly... We will just have to see the warlock cards that we can add to Thief Rogue decks
Metal detector at 3 mana with 2 durability is good being that wishing well is 5, but I think you’re right with 2 damage being pretty low to kill minions.
Eudora is cool, rogue was already sort of a discover a win condition type deck and having to do the quest multiple times is good balance so shadow step doesn’t break tf out of it
I find this maestra kinda odd, because unlike every other tourist we have seen so far I have a hard time imagining how it really works with warlock stuff. All the other ones play with the other classes mechanics a bit, buttons likes spell schools, lynessa like cheep spells, the mage one summons minions with divine shield. This just does a rouge thing. The only thing I can think of is that the armor of a hero card counts as life gain which warlocks like. I guess maybe we could have some kind of hero power warlock but that seems like a really weird kind of archetype to make.
You play warlock Titan, op kills it on their turn, you play conniving conman on your following turn to get a new copy that can use the nether portal again. Lol
Have you ever wondered if blizzard scams you by making false claims? Yes, because the definition of scam is this, declaring one thing and doing another, very serious when there is money involved. For example, the cards that say "random" are lying, there are algorithms that decide which cards to choose, for example not ALL the cards with assault but only those that the blizzad itself decides periodically, and among these there are algorithms that favor one of the two players, in this way Blizzard balances the game artificially and favors those who give it money based on who doesn't pay, for example it has created a specific arena for those who never pay using gold, where it only throws in these players together with certain categories such as TH-camrs who buy accounts full of gold to chain draft and make "incredible arena" videos, this thing is even declared and admitted by blizzard itself which thus admits to manipulating everything as it wants and cashing in your dollars in exchange, to millions of dollars, yes you understand, you pay, you get scammed, you get stressed and the only one who laughs in your face... is your beloved blizzard... 😂😂🤣🤣
I'm putting two Sing-Along Buddies in every Rogue deck for the eventual Uther OTK dream and no one can stop me.

Yeah, pretty sure thats what regis meant by you can chase quel'dalar
@@mattd824 Oh dang lol. I rewatched that part to make sure because I figured he would say something about it and I still missed it. Thanks!
It seems unclear what happens if you get two pieces from separate instances of the quest if you bounce her though
Love the fact that the gnome from Oh, Manager! is the same one from Entitled Customer.
Maestra is my favourite card of the set so far!
For these treasures, if you discover both the blade and the hilt, do you get the final combined version?
That location is gonna be busted in some aggressive pirate deck
best card of the set. can’t wait

Cool idea, cool design.. to bad it dosen't matter because modern hearthstone game dosen't even make it to turn 6 :/

If you choose Blade and Hilt of Queldalar as your Eudora rewards, you should get completed Queldalar.
If Warlock gets some good control cards Maestra could prove to make Rogue be able to last in the late game to be able to play these new fun cards.
If I see a Quel’dalar piece in the first choice I am picking it every time
Is it just me, or does Maestra's card art give off custom cards circa 2015 vibes?
Will there be any start of game Baku style effect to let the opponent know there is a tourist in your deck
