- It was time for a KITCHEN MAKEOVER...Hey Buzybeez! The new year is right around the corner and I wanted to start off on a fresh and clean foot. Last week, we decided to "Marie Kondo" our kitchen. Things were so cluttered and the final reveal is amazing. I'm still shocked this is my new kitchen! Give this video a thumbs up if you feel inspired to clean now too! :)

Thanks for showing us reality! My kitchen is also a mess and I always dream about how tidy it could be from your videos. I always think that a real Cook's kitchen can't be so tidy.
Hahha the truth comes out! It’s tidy for now... hopefully we can keep it that way at least for a month 😁

Open shelving is lovely to look at but from a functional perspective, not the best use of very important space, esp in a smaller kitchen. It's a constant battle to keep it aesthetically pleasing. You did a nice job...
Since your kitchen doesn’t get enough light, Pothos and ZZ plants would go great in your kitchen. They’re very easy to take care of and doesn’t need a ton of light. Watering for them are quite easy as well. Relatively, 7-10 days. Depending on how damp the soil is in between watering. You want the soil to dry out.
I also started cleaning/organizing a couple of weeks ago. I admire the fact you're able to cram all that into such a small space! The fact that you have a family with a baby and a toddler and have a cooking channel and have so little space to store your stuff amazes me. Especially as I have that much stuff and I'm single with no kids! And you have open shelving, which looks great, but trickier to hide all the stuff if you're a hoarder like me (luckily I have lots of cabinets and even a huge laundry area that I can tuck things into). Hahaha! Great job, mama!
Hahah thank you!! Ugh I’m learning I’m a bit of a hoarder. Also kids come with so much STUFF! Can’t wait til I’m done with all those bottles 😄😄
@@honeysuckle I don't know how moms do it with kids. Every time I see them traveling, I cannot fathom how they can carry their own stuff plus all the baby stuff like diapers, wipes, diaper bags, car seats, baby strollers, etc. Kudos to you and hubby for managing in such a small space (small to me since I've lived in states with more living space - LOL). But in all honesty, I didn't say need that Mealthy instant pot...I was fine with my slow cookers. But I convinced myself I needed it and now it's sitting in a box in my laundry closet with all the other stuff since I have no room to put it out and use it. I did buy it for thit kho as my cousin raved about using it for that years ago. Finally made thit kho yesterday using my crockpot and it was fine (also made pickled mustard greens and pickled cabbage/carrots/greensprouts/onions to eat with it). I really don't need a pressure cooker, which was the main reason why I convinced myself I needed it. Hahaha. But I have tons of crap I like to hoard like mortars and pestles of all kinds, teapots, creamers, honeypots, etc. Yeah, I have issues. LOL
So many of us collect Le Creuset now! I started after seeing your beautiful kitchen and pieces! Please do a Le Creuset collection video!

You are so right. It is overwhelming and sometimes hard to get rid of things. I purge every so often. I hate clutter and feel I cannot breathe. Good job
I think what I MOST like is that you have a home for everything, yet you didn't have to purchase complex organizers or clean up. Like... I'm inspired to clean up! You didn't even have to declutter too much... every thing just needed a home.

Great job mama honeysuckle! Repurposing what you have a recreating your space is the truly mom thing to do that makes the most sense. I have to redo my kitchen as well. Its actually so cluttered that i can barely cook like i want to with no counter space. I wish my kitchen could be half as nice as yours. Hoping to at least clear it up,but there is not much i can do about the size of it😔 one day I'll have a bigger kitchen.

Yes I get super tense when the kitchen starts to clutter up, I try to be minimal but kind of hard to organize with little ones and like keeping cute things lol. You did great and im glad you feel refreshed, looking forward to new inspirations. Joanna Gaines is goals, you are too

Excellent job with reorganizing 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟. I donated some cookbooks and some kitchen tools etc. But kitchen still don't look lovable like your. But it gave me some ideas. My kitchen is very small, no window. So I'm very limited in what I should do. But I'm inspired to keep working on it. Thank for sharing.
Great job👍🏿...my keys to staying organized is being practical..if I cant take something home & use immediately, I don't buy it, I love stuff from a distance, whn purging (usually clothes) if not worn or used in a year I have to give it away😏
Love this video and how relatable it is. I feel really lucky I have cupboards to hide behind (lol), but you have an amazing collection of kitchenware/dinnerware.
Mama, take anything that you don't want, won't use, etc. & is in good condition to a women's shelter or Goodwill or Salvation Army. Give a call first. Ex: those blue plates that you don't like, get rid of them, someone else can get good use out of them. Marie Kondo; thank them for their service & then let them go! :-D
I donated those to the Salvation Army! ☺️

You have a beautiful kitchen. My tip for tge front of your fridge is to straighten all your things on it and it will look so much tidier. 😊
You could totally put real plants in that kitchen. Some options that are low maintenance/low light indoor house plants are any type of Pothos (Golden Pothos, Marble Queen, Brazil) which is beautiful when it starts to trail and vine and also a Snake Plant, Spider Plant, ZZ Plant, Lucky Bamboo and any type of Cacti. They are very easy plants to keep alive as long as you water them and make sure they have a drainage hole in the pot along with well draining soil like what you would use you for your succulents. Definitely give those plants a try you can definitely do it!
Hey absolutely no shame in faux plants! Kitchen looks more focused & functional while being pretty.

I wish to have a big kitchen like yours and to have open shelves... I’m just done wif my new tiny kitchen which originally designed wif open shelves ,but my husband said since my kitchen is tiny and the edges are too short to make it,I had to give up on my open shelves... so envy what u have
That also made me like Wtf , so much crap. I feel the same way in my home. I have given away a lot. Less is more for me now.

As your daughter gets older & stronger she will pull the glass dishes out of the cupboards.... kids are like that & will think it’s a game 😁
You can get top cabinets extremely cheap, especially at salvage places where ppl
have renovated and brought the others to salvage. Some cabinets are brand new and others might be a year old. U need doors on your shelves, otherwise u will continue to be frustrated.
