“Perry got in touch and said he wanted to work with us," explains Jason Williamson of the collaboration. "He’s a really cool guy and his back catalogue clearly speaks for itself, so we jumped at it, and So Trendy grew from there."
Enhancing So Trendy’s line of attack, was created using Generative AI to place Sleaford Mods and Perry Farrell in a fabricated, retro video game-like world that explores the song’s themes.
“So Trendy concerns itself with the ongoing polarisation of living life through smart devices" declares Williamson of the satirical yet savage lyrically edge. "The daily experience is a series of passwords or facial recognitions that lead us into familiar Arenas of consumer marketing and conformity.”

Every time l get a listen to a new song or collaboration done by the Seafords l only ever think "oh yeah l suppose that's alright" and then wander off, only to have it play in my head for a few hours until l go back and give it another listen and then on the second try l suddenly behold the brilliance of their geniuses. Takes a while for it to seep in past my thick poverty addled skull l guess.
Janes Addictions albums Nothings Shocking and Ritual De Lo Habitual are 2 of the finest albums ever made. I seen 'em on tour for Ritual at the Barras and it'll always be my favourite gig of all time. God Bless Perry and The Mods x
