After seeing Matt at Diesel Creek work on his Gallian grader, Christine (tried to kill him several times) he could have saved a ton of his time just dropping the engine on the ground with a crane 5 or 6 times to loosen up all the bolts and seals.

That poor camshaft and crankshaft is absolutely going to heaven because that fellow sure beat the hell out of them! I sure wasted a lot of time over my 60 years as a mechanic being so careful not to bang them around.😢

You don’t remove a camshaft with a hammer. You take end caps off and match them back up with their journals, you don’t throw them in a pile. You need a torque wrench for more than a crank and big end caps. None of those things require any special equipment.

Era um motor inigualável. O carro estava em sua mão com um giro baixo , excelente torque e era indestrutível. Tucho hidráulico equela tranquilidade . Com uma caixa de 4 marchas , era um tapete voador

А, ну и если что, после замены колец на задранных цилиндрах у меня мотор пробежал уже 200000км, да литр на тысячу, да при морозе ниже -10 заводится только с подогревом, но этот мотор окупил себя уже 100500 раз!
This is an extra rough rebuild. The treatment of that cam shaft was especially rough. Brute force is used in each assembly with a sledge hammer❤❤❤. I’m sure the mechanics are not in this big of a hurry. I wouldn’t pay $50.00 USD for this amateur rebuild.

I believe you are supposed to keep all the bolts and push rods and pistons in order as you take them out. Just a thought. Also I like how clean they keep their dirt shop floor. Just saying 🤦♂️🤦♂️
the bearings definitely looked new and probably new piston rings. also the pistons looked new as well, they had new sideskirt coatings which the old ones didn't have. but besides that they probably reused all the old parts...
На таких моторах не растачивают. Тут сменные гильзы используются. Правда в данном случае меняли или нет - вопрос :) Поршни новые, это видно, а вот гильзы - хз, может просто не показали
Да неумничай , я видел их работу , сам к таким обратился , так получилось что авто подвело , им нет равных , и что меня удивило все знают свою работу и каждый отвечает за нее . После их ремонта я проехал 680 тыс км и нет проблем , за 48 часов перебрали мотор ,,каменс " , раскедали до атома , шлифанули , поменяли поршневую , собрали и отправили .Респект и уважуха им
@@Johny570 У мотора Камминз 6-БТ 5.9 нет сменных гильз . Там или блок в ремонтный размер растачивают или используют ремонтные тонкостенные гильзы с нижним упором . Без расточного хонинговального станка ничего не сделаешь . Такой двигатель стоит у грузовиков Дон-Фенг ДАФ-45 и пикап Додж - РАМ .
I often wonder if they purposely thrash around because they know they're being filmed and want to look cool and macho, or they just don't care. Notice they only fix whats there. They don't rebuild anything.

Камминсы В-серии много косяков прощают, легендарный мотор, потому так небрежно его и перебирают!
Мне кажется что они очень мало оборотов дают двигателю после ремонта,надо газ в пол чтобы быстрее все притёрлось.

Never a manual, torque wrench, or clearance check, except for the crank. But it's clean! Do Cats not have valve stem seals?
It is a Cummins, not a Cat! Valve stem seals were RED.
Learn to pay attention before asking dumb questions.
