I bought one 5 years ago and it's my main go to guitar. I saw it in a music store, didn't even try it out, and bought it. The only thing I did to it was change the strings and intonate it (which was a pain). It has all the features I was looking for, and wouldn't change a thing.
Hi Deakon great review. I just bought one of these on a whim and I really like the guitar. It helps that it has my name on the Headstock. What do you think of the original pickups?
Loving your vids your a great player!! Please keep giving us more! Also after your mods swapping the trem and pickup surrounds on this guitar, it looks quite a bit like my Ibanez JS100 haha Thank you!
Oh your right it kinda does look like the satriani model ha ha that's crazy I never noticed that! Thank you so much for your support! I'm on the most of getting more videos worked out and I'm working on an EP currently as well Thank you!!
Hi, I see you are using a Dean C350 F guitar. I have a question. I am thinking about purchasing and would like to know if the standard hardware and electronics are ok? Does it require an absolute replacement? ... you have a greate channel :)
I have the same guitar in Natural finish. I too swapped the bridge pickup for a SD JB4. The stock pickup was too harsh. The neck on this guitar is amazing, and my guitar never comes out of tune.. Really enjoyed this video!!!
Deakon Lekross and I’m a subscriber now and looking forward to your future content. You’re not going to believe the deal I got on my 350f. A small mom and pop shop that was a Dean distributor went out of business and a pawn shop across the street bought up many of their guitars. My guitar sat there for almost 2 years. I watched it go from $399 down to $349 then $299 then $249. On Black Friday of last year I walked out the door at $188. Now I have other guitars, but this is the one I always gravitate to. A) for the incredible feel and B) I NEVER have to tune this guitar!!!!!
@@RYAN-cj2fp wow! That is crazy! I don't think I've ever been so lucky lol Well it's a great guitar and it seems as though it was waiting for you so it's been yours all along!
@@RYAN-cj2fp I just bought this same guitar fro 140$ from a pawn shop. Didn't know what I was in for with the floyd rose. Having conquered that... did you change the pickups? I am not getting the same bright sounds from each string.
@@FinancialFreedomFinder yes I replaced the bridge pickup with a Seymour Duncan JB. Made a world of difference. I kept the stock neck pickup because it didn’t sound all that bad. But the bridge pickup was lifeless
Did you change the pickups.. Mine came with Dean DMT pickups. Not the seymore duncans with the logo on yours. Nevermind, i listened on your pickup change. The stock pickups sound fine to me. I got a set of used EMG 81/85's. Im thinking about putting them in. But since im Using a Marshall Code 50 modeling amp, It would just sound the same anyway.
This guitar came with stock DMT pickups as well and your correct they don't sound bad at all BUT I prefer the setup of a Seymour TB4 and SHN pickups which is what I changed them too 👍
F the guitar,...I Love the playing. lol. finally a TH-cam guitar guy who actually sounds UNIQUE when playing. not to say anything bad about the others.. but YOUR Playing sounds uniquely AWESOME my friend.... more please!.. lol

It is exactly the opposite, it is a real C very rounded. The problem is that if you like any of those shapes you are going to dislike the other. In my case I hate now the Ibanez wizard of my RG to thin for me and particularly that the neck is wide and thin. Now I think you can shred on both guitars it is just a matter of preference.
@@DeakonLekross I guess you guys would call it a partscaster, Dimarzio hardware, sweetwater hardware, and woodburned the dragon's head you see here onto the back of a bird's eye maple body that I had a woodworking shop plane and glue together for me in the early 80s.
Hello! Great video and playing! I'm in love with this headstock and really want to buy this guitar (or c450 - c550). But! I have the Ibanez s420. It has standart Ibanez neck with fretboard radius of 16" (400mm) and recently i had an opportunity to play on LTD M series, wich has thin U neck with 350mm (14" i think) radius and i was stunned how comfortable it is. So, could you tell me, please, what fretboard radius it has? Or maybe how does it feel? More like Ibanez, or thinner, like LTD or something like that? Thanks and good luck!
Thank you for supporting! The S series Ibanez are really nice! I've actually been wanting to get one ha ha This dean if I remember right has a 16" radius as well, so that would definitely have a familiar feel! I would venture to say that this guitar will "feel" bigger than your Ibanez in general. Like I've completed this Dean to a few Jackson's I've played and it just feels bigger, especially compared to a Dinky model. I sadly haven't really played too many LTD's honestly ha ha but I'd like to try them one day! Hope that helps! 🤘
I just bought the 350 Floyd off reverb for $411 w tax and it doesn't even sound as good as my Jackson js22 dka😒 do I have to have it professionally adjusted or change the pick-ups(the pick-ups seem so far from the strings and the strings are a little higher than I usually like em also) or?
Hmmm sounds like the guitar was not setup very well or they tried to make it so there was no buzzing on the frets If the pickups are set low into the body they won't have a great response or sound. I would raise those up till they have a more full sound and maybe lower the action a little. Give it a try. Also the Dean c350 has a basswood body (I don't know what your Jackson has) so that could be contributing to the difference in sounds
@@DeakonLekross thanks bro I tried what you said and it sounds way better. I might get someone to get it done because I have no idea how to set them up. Thanks for your time bro👍

@@gkarone3228 That guitar hurt me. I had the trem blocked as I never used it but as I was learning (after 16 years from it) my very short hands made me do weird things with my fret hand, thumb joints, and wrist or I would mute the strings (especially when playing the low strings the high strings would mute as I lack reach). I hurt myself so bad I live in 24x7 pain and immobility of my left-hand due to the thumb to the wrist joints. I sat the guitars (I purchased another smaller one) up for 2 months now. The mobility is almost 100% and the pain is about 98% gone. Every single time I hear the mention of guitar the fret hand twinges (no joke) and I so wanted to learn. After a year of hardship, pain, etc... I think the writing is on the wall I am just incapable of learning on my own and can't afford lessons so my days of rocking on isn't going to happen. I wanted to get in touch with Angus Young to ask him how he managed since his height is less than mine and I would love to know his hand measurement compared to mine. The dud is a nice bloke but there is just no way I could find to get in touch with him.
@@gkarone3228 I have always had the CTS but I aggravated it beyond belief and I gave myself pain you can understand. It isn't just the CTS it is the arthritis that runs in my family so having to use the thumb in the proper position it tore up each joint of my thumb from the wrist up to the palm joint up to the mid knuckle. Mind you I was only practising for 15-30m per day every day for about 8 months. I so want to play but my damn hands. I wore a CTS brace for 2 months to get back 98% but even as I type this I feel the twinges of pain to remind me it is not healed.
