    With Odunze gone. I’m extremely happy with the trade and pick.

    Great pick from JD arguably the best left tackle in the class plus a 4th n a 5th is a great day to be a NY Jets fan

    It doesn’t even matter if he doesn’t play this year. The assurance in foundation is a thousand times greater than a dope party room of WRs

    We have started like 25 different players on the offensive line the past two years. He is going to play.
    The one thing I was so upset about JD is his refusal to have contingency plans for injuries. He seems to finally addressed that shortcoming

    We got a stud at one of the most important positions on the team ... great pick.

    Wanted Odzune but Fashanu was my top tackle in draft. Hes a pure type left tackle. Not sure why everyone wanted guard type tackles.

      My counter to the Brock haters who favored OL was this point exactly. The other prospects seemed like OTs but analysts suggested they’d be better OGs. Hopefully Olu anchors a great OL!

    Joe is highly educated in this game! makes so much sense how he explains the dire need and importance of the unglamorous to let our playmakers shine and preserve there health throughout the season

    With our current Tackles signed for only this season, this is a perfect move to help achor this unit for years to come. JD will get that WR we need,either through the draft, trade or free agency. We are in great shape.

    The Penn state kid, was he the best player on the board at the time? no, so JD went in a differnt direction, that's what everyone wanted. the right pick right now for the jets ? yes eat your veggies.Easy analogy to grasp lol. I live with that.

  • @Murf1802
    @Murf1802 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I remember a first round pick. I believe he was 8th overall back in the early 90s on the Eagles. They drafted Antone Davis, not as big as this kid the jets selected, idk, 6'4" 330 but the reason I remember this draft pick was a family friend played on the OL for Philly at the time, Antone started right out of the gate and really got beat up ,half of the year or struggled that whole rookie season, idk about a rookie OL being throw into professional football right out of college, that kid ,who had so much promise got beat up every game , yes,he went up against some big name defenders no doubt, but they didn't evaluate this kid strong enough or just didn't have a chioce, I hope the jets don't make a mockery of this Penn state kid,I thought out of the 5 offense of tackles available last night, he needed the most coaching to get into form, personally I liked the kid from Oregon St. My 2 cents. Thanks, guys.

    I'm a Giants fan and I was hoping they'd take Joe Alt. Most fans do not realize how important the O line is. The Jets got the next best o lineman in the draft, solid pick.

  • @yardjet8823

    Have we finally solved this forever o-line problem? Dare I hope?

  • @jonathanrichter4256
    @jonathanrichter4256 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Bottom line, JD has followed through on his promise to fix the O line. I feel like that's no longer going to be a problem for the foreseeable future. I think we need to packed a couple of those 4th rounders with our 3rd to move up and grab one of the next level of WRs like Roman Wilson, or they could just hope one of Jay'Lynn Polk, Devontez Walker or Malachi Corley is there at 72.

    Second year we draft someone to come off the bench listen we needed OL help but we NEED WR it’s just Garrett Mike isn’t even ready so we can’t speak on him until we see him suit up I’m hoping we get a good WR it’s not many left

    here is the issue I have. The jets have no future. Because they have no QB. I wanted someone to help us this year. And this draft pick does not. So if this player turns into a stud in 2027. How does this help us now. Jeez.

    Zach’s not new anymore. You guys need to chill with this lazy analysis. Rodgers elevates every one around him. He needed a weapon and you guys preach to the ignorant the wrong message. The Lazard hate is also lazy! Zach was the problem. Period

  • @jonjonr4788
    @jonjonr4788 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    at least it wasn't Bowers. OT was the move, they just got the wrong guy. His weakness as a run blocker is well documented, but his pass pro is also significantly overrated. No power in his hands/upper body, wildly inconsistent hand placement, frequently fails to control/redirect stronger pass rushers, which lets them get into his body and push him back. his pass pro will not translate to the next level - the tape against Michigan and Ohio State is beyond damning. i'm gonna be shocked if he's an above average starter. not happy.

    If kid plays great after 4 games , Jets have options to trade T Smith , for draft capital.
