I’m only now realizing how weird it is that the taxi cab driver rejected mario’s offer to be paid with gold coins. That dude would be loaded with those kind of coins

I thought this was the coolest shit ever when I saw it as a kid, any type of TV show making a video game reference felt otherworldly at the time
Just to note that these games were still out at the time between 2009 to 2010. I imagine they were just playing these games during production and decided to make an entire skit out of them.
The Lebron Sonic part should've been kept in the final version.

Differences:
1. Global:
The narrator's voice is different
The music does not start off instantly and is also different
2. Mega Man 10:
Strike man waits until Mega Man opens up the umbrella to start talking
Strike man has a different voice actor
Strike man says "Now look me in the eyes" where in the final he's cut off after saying look
The sound effects for the umbrella opening, lightning strike and Strike man dying are either altered or different. (I can't tell)
3. Street Fighter 4:
The title screen uses a different punch sound effect
Blanka has a different voice actor
Bison sounds more sad as if he is more committed to his fate than in the final
The death echo effect was removed and the table breaking sound effect was changed
4. New Super Mario Bros. Wii:
The jump sound effect was altered and the coins had a different sound effect. The coins also made the same sound where in the final they had 3 different sound effect variants.
The music keeps going when Mario hails the cab
Mario and the taxi driver sound different
The taxi driver says "Oh" before stating that they have arrived. The final just has him say "Here we are"
Since the music never stopped it doesn't resume when the taxi stops
5. Extra Scene:
The beta has Sonic 4 as one more scene before it ends. It's unclear why this scene was removed. Whatever it be due to licensing issues with SEGA or LeBron James, Sonic 4's poor sales, Episode 2 adding in Tails or some other reason is still yet to be discovered. (As far as I know) Since this scene is not in the final it just abruptly ends when Mario gets ejected from the taxi.
Sonic bit was likely cut for time. I don't think any of these things really factor in as these are parodies, therefore no licensing involved.
Well, that explains Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon’s rivalry.

Considering the year this episode was released, it definitely made sense.

I like how the player is using Triple Blade, easily the strong weapon in the game AND Strike Man's weakness, snd still needed that cheat.

0:31 Mario's coin counter is broken as hell. It has 12 coins at the very start of the level (probably from a previous level, i dunno) then mario grabs 15 coins and the counter doesn't increase, and when Mario wants to pay the taxi driver, Mario has a massive pile of coins
