I’m about to sound really weird and emotional, and I guarantee you I’ll get bashed, but Volo legit made me cry in the game. Near the end of the main story, when you get kicked out of the village. The fact that all the people that your character had become friends with suddenly turned on you distressed me more than it should have, and when Volo just randomly came up to me and offered me help and a place to stay, I didn’t realize it until about the point the cutscene with Cogita ended that I was fucking crying. I know he’s a villain, but… he’s the only one I forgive. Just for that. Even if there were ulterior motives. I still love the guy.
Ngl I liked him even more when he was revealed as the villain, he's a crazed maniac, but you can tell he isn't bad when he isn't chasing for literally god's attention, his pokemon are a big indicator

Volo was a very interesting character I watched a short play through of legends arceus that never got continued and I saw this and didn’t want to spoil the events of the game so I watched a no commentary of the game (not the whole game but after you get kicked out and you have to choose between two people to help you while the other person stalls for time up to Volos battle) and I liked his design and character never once would I have guessed that he was actually the villain of the game and this masterpiece of an animatic just makes me want to learn more about him and the story that goes on within the game good job portraying volo this makes me rethink and want to learn more about him I could feel the effort that went into this while I’m not able to understand the majority of the lyrics to the song the lyrics “Mr crazy villain villain” fits volo pretty good overall great job keep up the great work

⚠️Spoilers⚠️ I would’ve loved to see a redemption arc for Volo. When it was revealed that he was the villain and an ancestor of Cynthia I was extremely shook. I love his character he’s so interesting. I wish we got the option to forgive him and to see where our relationship with him would turn after forgiveness.
