Actually being alone has alot of potential, we have an infinite amount of resources and space at our disposal with no rivals. And trust me, speaking from experience, being alone isn't scary at all.

But hellogames worked their butts off and made this game truly an experience worth every second and penny put into it. I been a player of it since day one and l have played the same character the entire time. Getting to look back on the journey i made in this game and the adventures yet to come is why i have never stopped playing. It just gets better and better with each update. Kudos to hello games for the painstakingly hard work they did and still continue to put into this game.
@WTF S4NS Magikarp is a pokemon… it is often called the most useless pokemon because it only gets the moves "splash" and "flail." Splash does nothing and flail does more damage the lower your health is. Which doesn't matter because magikarp gets one shot anyway.

So I had no clue, until now, that this song was based on a video game (heard a downloaded version from a friend). Consequently, this song has been the theme for a story arc in my tabletop RPG *forever*.

I actually find of the universe as a TERRIFYING thing,because first,you don't know whats out there,second,it's HUGE,it makes you feel SO tiny!,and third,It's a dangerous place.
JezDex144 plus space is freaking cold with high radiation so you have an extremely high chance of dying painfully. that's one of the reasons why most space explorers die before coming back to earth. The other thing is that earth's natural shield is too powerful (and hot) to even land safely.
I like to think about it like this. You are a complex organism on a rock that is orbiting a big ball a burning gas in an infinitely expanding universe. you have the intelligence to not only comprehend the universe but to actively seek out its secrets. Unlike most animal Humans want to go beyond the planet and hopefully gain ever growing knowledge about our reality. Yes space is scary but its also interesting because the possibilities are endless.

Honestly, I think the space combat still has room to improve in general, though what I had in mind would require a rework of how flying is handled (think Ace Combat or Project Wingman). Freighter combat would definitely be welcome, as, as far as I'm aware, you can't really outright destroy a freighter or have it target another freighter with cannons. Maybe even toss in some sort of laser that can fire down on a planet.
