Yeeessss! I am the exact same way. I start packing months in advance! All the things you haven’t used or touched in at least 6 months, GET RID OF IT. All clothes that doesn’t fit anymore, GET RID OF IT. Throw trash away. Donate. Do whatever you need to do with it 😎 Then when it’s moving time, you won’t be taking junk to a new home ❤️
A couple of years ago I finally set up a separate account for my own business. Checking AND savings. That way I can transfer tax money to the savings account weekly, pay myself, and then pay the bills and buy supplies as needed and it keeps it totally separate from our home bills and funds. I also have a cash binder that’s just for the business since I do get people paying in cash often enough. That keeps it fun for me too since I love seeing the cash too!
Moving is an emotional rollercoaster for me. My grandma was amazing and could pack or unpack a whole house in a day. My grandpa work had them moving a lot so I am sure by the time I saw her do that she had her system down. But now that she is gone everytime I have moved. I have a huge break down at least once while moving. So over the years I have learned to start as early as possible.
Coming from someone had to pack and move by herself, pack as early as possible! Also declutter what you don't need. Moving is so stressful anything you can do to lessen that is amazing. Great stuffing.
It’s never to soon to start the moving process. Just start with a few minutes a day filling a box to donate. Then build on that and start doing a little more everyday. Please consider donating to a smaller thrift or church basement type of situation instead of the big chain. Animal shelters would be glad to have any towels or blankets.
Preparing to move early is a very good idea. That way you can go through things as you said and donate or throw away. You will be amazed at how much stuff is actually in your house. Love the videos!
Loving the back to school tracker half way there to it being filled in !!! Had to get new winter clothes for the little one unexpectedly and it was nice to have that set aside
I hear you about packing early! I’m moving out of state in December but I’m about to start decluttering and packing items I don’t really use/need on a regular basis. Less stress on me later. Looking forward to seeing more about your big move!
Absolutely love your videos! I get overwhelmed easily as well so I understand how you feel but you got this! Congratulations on your move and I hope you and your family gets to see the snow this year 🥰
Hey Jordan! We are starting to pack and possibly not moving for months. I don’t want to be worrying about it when it’s time to actually move. So a lot of things will be put in storage (like Christmas stuff) to make room for more things to go in our storage unit here in the building we live in. Definitely extra cash stuffing for YT income!!😊💚
I have Guinea pigs too!! Yes they can be expensive especially if they get sick. I’m not sure what kind of research you have done but LA Guinea pig rescue has a TH-cam channel that I have found very helpful when it comes to the care of my piggies. I’m not sure what kind of rash your piggie has but they have a few videos about how to treat some common things that doesn’t require a vet visit. Their videos have saved me quite a few vet visits.
Definitely is cold! It took me 4 attempts to finish the video because.. well kids LOL I am so thankful that I came across your videos and am so excited to start my cash binders, especially once I get my awesome trackers and challenges from you!
New subscriber here! All it took was two videos and I was hooked lol , you should definitely get a head start on packing for your move you will thank yourself later !
A Pets at the Vets category in your bills folder as well as the Pets fun in savings really sensible. As a single Mum I'm hearing you on your thoughts of getting things prepared well in advance for your move. I'm not planning to move this year but this week I've been going through summer clothes for my son in readiness for the warmer weather, partly to know if he's grown out of things that need replacing & partly because now is the time others start looking for these items in the thrift stores. It's an easy win declutter for both me & the charities. Maybe it's somewhere for you to start too? That way you'd get rid of stuff you don't need but you can also plan your budget for getting anything new they need? Wishing you the best of luck 😊
Yes I would totally love to see a TH-cam cash stuffing! Also, 30 seems so warm to me because it has been between 5-10 degrees today in Western NY! Haha great video as always :)
Yes definitely to the TH-cam stuffing 🥰. I’m hoping to get rabbits for my daughters birthday in March so I must make sure I get saving especially for vets bills x
I'm in Chicago and we were in single digits last week. ❄️Snow is beautiful, but so cold! I do have to say that I would not do well in a hot/humid climate because I'm so used to the cold 😂 We consider it a nice day when it's 40°F lol Anywho, thank you for sharing the process. I recently got my binder and extra envelopes from the Amazon link you shared. 🙏 I've been really looking into my expenses and realized how much I spend in different categories. Groceries alone is $500. 🤯😵 Meanwhile I was thinking $200 was fine. It really is not. 😳 This has helped me get on track and not spend unnecessarily. 💕
I’m similar to you in that I will try to plan ahead as much as possible. Definitely look into the pricing of the local attractions… but also check to see if they have any annual activities that you can benefit from with committing to an annual pass. Like a specific museum may have a ‘sleep-in/over’ event, and that one visit may be enough of a visit to satisfy the ‘itch’ and no annual ticket commitment needed. 💰💰💰
Always an inspiring video! I too write Everything down into different categories. Bills are paid online but sinking funds and savings challenges are budgeted with what’s left over plus my side hustle and money my boyfriend gives to me. BUT if can just decide what denomination to put in every time (some may increase at times) Would be Great
Girl it's snowing here. It has been for about 4 days now. We got 8 inches and it melted. It got warmer 2 days later and then it started to rain for 2 days. And yesterday it started snowing again and it has not stopped we probably have about 3 inches right now. And I am stuck in the holler till the roads clear. And it's supposed to get 10 degrees tonight.
Fantastic video Jordan! Thank you so much for explaining the priority of the sinking funds and how are you do it from start to end. Moving is hopefully on our list too, we’re looking at October pending a few things. We’re already in the process of looking at what else needs to go, what I can already pack away, and how we’re gonna do things. We have downsize our house by 85% and I plan to downsize another 5 to 7%, which doesn’t look like a lot but trust me it is lol.
Yesssss, you never know how much stuff you have until you move and downsize. I'm so excited to follow your moving journey too. I know you really want to move to be closer to your kids/family. I hope it all comes together! ❤️
I can not wait to save up enough money in my enlovpes to make a big purchase from ur shop and be able to leave a nice tip for u and ur boys to be able to have family fun together. Love watching ur videos. U are the best and most kindness person that care about help subscribers. We all care about u and ur boys like family. I'm a single mom too
Moving is no time to get sentimental. My big question is do I really want to physically move this to another state. Is it worth the mental/physical energy and cost (more stuff means a bigger truck). Most the time it's no. If it's not a hard yes, it's a no.
We have guinea pigs - I budget about $85 per months for there food and weekly fresh veggies Also learned a lot watching The Los Angeles Guinea Pig Rescue with Saskia - so much good advise on how to care for them .. love your channel
Not sure if your children like science museums but Nashville has the adventure Science Center. We had memberships to there, the Nashville Zoo and Nashville Shores (it’s a water park). Not sure what part you’re moving to but we have lived here forever so if you need help, let me know😊
I pack early so that way I can think about what I really want to keep and what I want to donate. My way of doing it is with every item I think to myself do I need/want this enough to wrap it, pack it, transport it, unpack it and find a new home for it. If the answer is no to any of those questions it gets donated.
I'd love to hear more about paying bills at the beginnng of the month. My utilities all come at different times during the month and I don't think I have control over picking the bill date. (maybe I do and I just don't realize it?) How do you handle that?
You can pay utilities early, but of course, you cant pay them late. The problem is that the bills vary. My solution: total you electric bill for the past 12 months. Divide by 12. Every month pay that amount. You will build credits during the winter (not running the air conditioning) and use those credits during the summer.
I’m definitely a last minute packer! The week before everything will get shoved into a box and never get unpacked 😅… so best advice is don’t procrastinate
We are an Army fam so usually they send movers to us and all we have to do is take things off the walls. The next time we move, I think we will try to do it ourselves. I'm a procrastinator so it'll probably be a rush job in the last 2-4 weeks lol.
We will also be moving at the end of June. We do have a storage that we will start bringing home and reorganize and put back into storage. We will be moving to my daughter's as we get ready to buy our first home so won't have the room we do now. I am a newbie to your channel and was wondering how did you get a month ahead on your bills?
Hi Jennifer! I used one of the stimulus checks to get one month ahead all at once. If you're trying to do it though I recommend people make "1 month ahead" one of their long term savings goals. Slowly set aside money for it and once you have it ready, you can start shifting all of your bills to be the first of that upcoming month. Definitely a fan of slowly saving for it though, rather than stress yourself out trying to get there too quickly. 💕
Been M.I.A. lately. Sorry! Everyone here is sick. Infact, they closed the school due to the sick ppl. Anyway, I would love to see a TH-cam cash stuffing tomorrow. Hope all is well!
If u need a TH-cam buddies I will be glad to be ur friend. I am stepping out of my comfort zone and trying to make friends bc I'm shy. And I'm struggling if I should just start my channel. I hoping to just go for it.
I'm happy to be your youtube buddy!! Just start with the videos, you'll look back and your first few will be awkward. That's okay! It's part of the process. The biggest struggle is just to get out of your head and just do it and then it's fun! ❤️❤️❤️
Yeeessss! I am the exact same way. I start packing months in advance! All the things you haven’t used or touched in at least 6 months, GET RID OF IT. When we have moved, we always started getting rid of things and organizing a month or 2 in advance. I am impressed with how on top of it you are!
Way to go Jordan thank you so much for showing us everything how you’re planning for things it’s really enlightening
It's never too early to start packing for a move. Especially if you have to do it yourself! Your organization and dedication inspire me.
Yes make a separate you tube cash stuffing. Always look forward to watching your videos
Definitely never too soon to pack! Makes it easier in the long run. Great video!

Omg yes I’ve been waiting for your videos all the time lately! You’re awesome Jordan!
Yay! Thank you Suzy!! ❤️❤️❤️
Yay!! Thanks for sharing your breakdown. I was wondering how you knew how much to put in each category.. now it makes sense😎
