yeah, if stamina in gacha games would cap after a week instead of a day or even less, many would be way more comfortable. You could do everything just on the weekends, roll for relics and be done with it. That you miss out on the daily pass, when you dont log in in many games is brutal. And its the best bang for your buck for a reason.
Yes. 100% agree. MMOs learned this literally a decade ago to stop making people log in everyday if you want to retain players. After a while MMO dailies became pretty much worthless unless you were brand new as they gave you materials rather than mandatory items.
@@nottyseel949 MMOs still have dailies and the problem with dailies is worse in MMOs simply because it takes longer and looking at WoW specifically, you had to do all of the dailies and not just some to reach the final point of the dailies which takes quite a lot of time
@@Kyle81290 I definitely do not play all MMOs, but the main ones I played a decade ago all stopped making dailies mandatory. What I meant in the end of my original comment was that the dailies became pretty useless as you progressed because they just gave mats that were useful for early players removing the need to log in everyday for them early on in your progression. Have they reverted to this model lately? I really haven't played many since SoulWorker, but considering how tone-deaf developers can be, I wouldn't be surprised.
@@grymns Same reply as above. I'm not too sure on recent MMOs (and WoW recently), but it wasn't that the dailies got removed it was that their mandatory nature was removed by not having FOMO inducing rewards except for new/early progression players and accounts. The last few years I played any, at endgame especially, you really just needed your weekly raid runs and bosses and weren't gated anything within 24 hours.
For real! Dailies and daily stamina cap is just tiring. Weekly activity points and weekly cap is more than enough to retain players. Goes to show that many have succumbed to the daily FOMO and try to justify it.
3:06 same with PGR. Dailies are practically worthless and the premium currency grind is locked in weeklies and you just need to participate. You need to at least log-in thrice per week to get everything.
Finally someone agreeing with me that dailies are tiring If you want to play the game you like every single day do as you want but I don't want to be obligated to do so I had a week were I traveled so I couldn't open the game and that week I realized how much I'm happier for not opening it
I see random ToF mention that didn't involve meming on the game. Between that and WuWa (Ive only played two gachas thus far, come at me), I do feel that WuWa is a bit more on the tiring FOMO aspect since they still have the format of 60 astrites per day from activities, on top of a very tight 24 hour, 40-60 waveplate use per activity system that makes me need to log in twice per day or risk "wasting" waveplates. ToF even remedies this by having a higher energy cap (48h) and utlimately even a claim reward if you ever overfill on resets or stamina.
so true, this is one of the reasons i got sick of HSR even tho i seriously liked the game. another true statement is that when i subbed i won my shorekeeper 50/50. Thank you Stioorg.
tl;dr - make dailies into weeklies Holy shit I agree. I thought about this SO MANY TIMES in the past: dailies ruined Genshin for me, and I have started feeling a bit rough around the edges with wuwa
Definitely TOF is the best example of this. I personally still bought the monthly subscription, but I logged in just to claim it and logged off. Another good way to go about it is adding in an auto clear feature for repeatable content. It’s funny the gachas I’ve played with this option don’t even have echoes or artifact or the sub stats don’t matter as much. And no farming artifacts isn’t fun. It reminds me of doing the story because you need pulls. Except you don’t know what to expect. Having the option will improve quality of life. Another option which is less great is what ZZZ is doing. Customisable domains. You get slightly longer domain but with an addition of all the things you added to be the reward. It’s not added everywhere to ZZZ, but it really improved my experience while farming. Another, also not that great, is what Wuthering Waves is going to add next patch. You first clear the domain and then you can claim the portion you want instead of repeating it. From what I’ve seen it’s times two so far, but I’m sure they’ll add more. Shorter dailies that’s accounting for stamina and gems, I think also gets you the same feeling
But the monthly subscription of ToF is sent daily via game mail. I believe it will not be deleted right away so you don't have to log in daily (let me know if it expires asap). In fact, due to the auto exploration, you can log in every few days and get exploration rewards
Also one more thing about tof is your stamina will only be capped from 0 to 360 after 48 hours instead of usual 18 or 24 hours. With this at least you can choose to blitz every two days instead of daily if you are unable to play on that one day.
Honestly, those paid passes with daily login rewards should have some kind of accumulation with them so you can still miss some days and still get the full rewards of the pass. Even with some kind of cap on how many days could be accumulated per pass if they so have to. And something so we can make up for missed dailies. Actually, having these pass rewards and dailies rewards as weekly rewards instead would likely be better (or the aforementioned accumulation and make up system). Like, instead of 60 total jades from daily rewards every day it could be 420 (60 x 7) jades as weekly rewards, with somewhat higher requirements/somewhat more time consuming assignments, and the pass reward could just be 630 jades per week, with both of these having their reset at the weekly server reset. Same amount of rewards, less pressure on players to log in every day. Like, sometimes you forget to log in, sometimes you don't have the time or straight up CANNOT log in ([insert any technical issue here, be it on the player's end or the server's end], or offline stuff like school, work, family, etc.).
Valid point. I think it also depends on your own goals in the game or rewards that you get. Example. I play a little bit of Limbus, Arknights and WuWa. Limbus straight up gives me resources to get new characters for free, no strings attached (though its enough to login once a week). Arknights I have taken a year break, came back and my team is still clearing content, so no pressure to get resources. Plus the only character I want to add is 6 months away. WuWa makes me login daily cause I got the newest character and I wanna build her asap, so I need resources. All three games are also just fun to farm. Arknights lets me set up auto clear if I dont feel like it and I can forget about it. Limbus I have been playing for around 500h now and I still enjoy it, especially the dungeon grind cause there is a lot of variety there. WuWa has rather dull daily tasks but it hasnt put me off yet. Mind you I have no issues with taking breaks or even dropping a game once I had my fill. Dropped PGR after a year, for example. Money well spent cause I had my fun with the game. But I dont wanna sound like stamina apologist. Having no need for daily logins and instead weekly or once every two weeks would make those games even better. Just like with my steam titles, I play them whenever and I dont lose anything. The only exception would be DMC 5 cause for some reason they have daily login bonus??? Like they give you a golden orb to revive yourself but using it is more shameful than spamming stingers so its not a big deal. Final shower thought: when playing a gacha, realise what you want out of it. If you have characters you wanna build up, then calculate what you need. Dont go overboard and "ohh but maybe there will be sth more fun in the future" yea, and maybe there wont. Set some goals and stick to em. You dont need everything out of the game, they are made to appeal to a lot of different players. Its fine to take breaks and skip stuff. Premium currency doesnt outvalue your actual lifespan and time you have on the Earth so be wise about it. But if you're having fun, then great, play to your heart's content. Also, take everything I said with a grain of salt cause I am a spender and not an f2p gamer.
I've always thought it's ironic that the very mechanism that gacha games use to hook you and turn daily log-in into a habit - stamina - is simultaneously the same thing that contributes to burn-out.
Limbus kinda does this with the caveat of doing it twice a day, which is wake up empty stanima, do it again after 12 hr or just before sleeping and post on the board how you horded up 9999 compressed stanima
Nobody talks about this but it's extremely true. Doing dailies and spending stamina systems every day is a very subtle way to coax you into playing the game more and you play games to have fun, if it becomes a chore it is no longer fun. The way these gachas build FOMO made me drop all of them despite being enjoyable to play it just feels awful to FEEL, not even actually be, just FEEL forced to play them is overbearing. Another problem is that doing the dailies doesn't often take "only 15 minutes" it can take up to half an hour depending on some of the rolls you get in some of these games, you have to spend stamina as well and if you play more than one game this shit can add up imagine best case scenario where you play let's say 4 gachas, some may say that is unreasonable some may say that's very little. 15 minutes in 4 games already adds up to an hour. I don't need to explain why someone wouldn't want to do chores for only 15 minutes let alone an hour or more.
Same here, even if its only 15 mins of dailies I still dun feel like logging in daily to the point I eventually quit all gacha games as a whole. Now I am only playing non gacha games.
they want people to log in daily obviously, thats where they got money, daily engagements of their games, BUT this is why i like zzz, dailies are like 20 seconds to get daily free pull money and 3 minutes to spend all energy to get dennies, which is the most important
Can't belief don't like logging into your favorite (insert name) gacha of all time every day How else will you fall into the psychological trap of brute forcing it (logging into game) into your daily routine via rewards incentives, and eventually (approx. a month) becoming a habit that isn't even giving second thoughts about. At that point, they can start other psychological tricks they can do, once you're locked in.
I think that one of the reasons gacha developers implement daily stamina is because they are afraid that players will build up their characters too quickly, leaving nothing else to do. This could result in most players only logging in for patch updates and then leaving once completed. Developers want players to play their game frequently, as this keeps the game in discussions among players and content creators, which acts as a form of advertisement. This helps attract more players, ultimately increasing revenue, assuming new players enjoy the game and are willing to spend. Players, however, dislike this system because it limits the fun of playing the game and sometimes turns it into a mandatory daily chore. Missing a day feels like missing out. Here are a few solutions that could potentially address this issue: 1. Finding stamina through exploration: Make it possible to find stamina by exploring the map. The stamina found would reset daily, and the maximum amount obtainable could be 3 to 5 times the weekly limit. 2. Weekly stamina system: Implement a weekly stamina system so it doesn’t feel like a daily chore. 3. Permanent, innovative game modes: Introduce a permanent game mode that is highly immersive and offers significant replayability. This would encourage players to log in not just to build their characters by consuming stamina but also to enjoy the mode itself. I play Wuthering Waves, which has introduced the Depths of Illusive Realm (DIL), and in the upcoming patch update, it is set to become a permanent mode. While I find this mode innovative, I believe players could eventually get bored, which is why the mode must be highly immersive and offer a lot of replayability. New maps and mini-games inside DIL could help, but that might not be enough. If the maps were procedurally generated, meaning that you could explore an endless vivid open world with environmental hazards, bosses/enemies that can interact with tge environment around you, for example, lets say you're fighting crownless in the poolroms and then he decies to grab you and fly all its way to the deep lit pool, now the fighting speed of both the player and crownless is decreased, meaning that the olayer must adpat its dodging time. Of course the player could get out of thete by using grapple and climbing while dodging the boss. That's verry imersive and it would encourage players to log in not only to build up their characters (which is very enjoyable) but also to have fun with that particular game mode. This way, even players with fully built characters would still have a reason to play without getting bored. Although I mentioned Wuthering Waves, I think this concept applies to most gacha games. Implementing a weekly stamina system, finding stamina on the map, and offering a super engaging game mode maybe even with a ranking system like battle royale games would make the game stand out among others, making players love it even more and play more often without feeling like it’s a daily chore. This would be particularly beneficial for larger games, which are often the ones that create the most fomo. Not to mention it would make the game way more popular. The more players the higher the revenue would be. Both players and devs win.
i've been thinking about this these past weeks, specially after metaphor came out. having to play every day is making me want to drop every gacha game and and focus on playing normal, self contained games that actually end and you can go to the next
I agree with what you said and thank you for sharing this idea. Maybe i should take a note about this and write it in the next feedback ( My English isn't very good , sorry to those whose had stroke reading this)
While I agree with what your saying we both know these types of QoL ain't happening unless its proven more money can be generated, these types of QoL are basically asking for Gachas to stop being gachas which is what these companies don't want. As much as I would love battlepasses, dailies, weeklies and even limited time lore heavy events to not be a thing that is what keeps interest going and makes people play everyday; they want you to get hooked as quickly as possible and put just enough obstacles so you'll consider swiping for something as cheap as the monthly card. Do I think the daily grind is as bad as some make it out to be, no especially compared to how some triple A level live service games do dailies and progression; some of those games want you to spend hours grinding a day. Unless its something crazy like 10 mins for dailies alone I don't mind the 2 min grind per game, something like HSR, Azur lane or Nikke can be done in auto on your phone and put to the side while you're doing something else, games like PGR and Snowbreak take less then 2 mins cause you can just sweep levels with out ever actually playing. I would say genshin and Wuwa are the most "annoying" out of the big gacha games and even then you shouldn't take more than 5 mins in each cause of how dailies are revolved around spending the energy now (which is something you should be doing for account progression and wuwa now basically cut it in half with the new feature that allows double stamina spending on everything for double the rewards). At the end of the day whether its gacha or some other form of live service game you're basically choosing your own poison.
For some reason I can weather these dailies because I am a habitual person and still can enjoy the game but yeah changing them to weekly will be a great QoL even though I probably will still be login in daily anyway. But since gacha games have been taking less and less time recently I have been able to play a lot of different games as well like kena bridge of spirits and control.
The standard should be that if you haven't logged in for x amount of days, and you complete the daily for that day. They should give the rewards for all the previous days. Maybe they apply a monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly limit. But this would definitely improve the overall quality of these games.
same in limbus they only have the weekly dungeon and by end game you can get most characters after a few months of the weekly cycle and thats not counting events
I actually like the dailies in wuwa. It doesnt take too much time either. Id like a weekly rewards but im also fine with dailies. Everytime after a busy day, doing dailies is like a relaxation and a good time to actually play the game. Bonus if you frequent in coop like me. Dailies cool for me hehe but looks like weeklies are for more busy people
Hsr dailies you literally just use stamina on auto i Don't think it's bad maybe wuwa and genshine yes even zzz dailies you Don't even need to use stamina it's like 4 min of walking you can even open it from your phone i feel dailies are a reminder to do this weeklies i most of the time forget them The games on my phone who doesn't have dailies i play them like 1 time a month i even forget them existing
if you only care about 60 polychromes in zzz, yes it takes like 2 minutes of walking. But you have to remember that battle pass exists, which wants you to spend 160 or 180 energy thingies every day, and you better do battle pass if you want some important materials or even some standarts pulls. So yeah, its not only 2 minutes of walking. Also you're missing the point entirely. Even if it takes like 20 seconds, it still turns the game into a chore, and over time it will start demotivating people from engaging with the game.
@@nicecoat5004 for me if dailies aren't in the game i will probably forget their existing many games on my phone i forget that they exist And battle pass i never felt like iam late in zzz or hsr they do them self maybe wuwa and genshine i need to read the missions
@@nicecoat5004 like spending stamina only gives you 200 you aren't forced to do them weekly missions guve a lot more like 700 or 600 events gives you1000-2000
If I'm going to be entirely honest. The only way to get around these issues is... to not play. Play a single player game that you pay once and own forever. Dishonored 1 & 2 BG3 Elden Ring DOOM & ETERNAL All of these games and literally thousands more are worth your time and have well made stories as they are complete. As much fun as I have with P:GR, Wuthering Waves, HSR, etc. None of these titles are on my top 10 list of best games.
I'm thankful that Kurogames are generous, since I don't have to enter WuWa everyday if I need to rest from it and I didn't loose any 50/50 that I wanted. (Not including Jinshi, I joined when she was ending)
Yes, i hate dailies, they just take the time away from actually doing things in the game and by the time you're done, you're like eh, i'll come back later but then you don't and tomorrow comes again and you do the same thing, this becomes a very huge issue if you play more than one gacha game and no you cant just stop playing if you actually like them, you can if you don't like the game as a whole, but for example i like hsr and i can't wait for dailies to be gone, so when i login i go straight for the event, story, material farming, map exploration or w/e but it gives me more time, if every gacha game were to remove it, because dailies are like saying you are not confident in your game, that you want to force players to login, but they like it, they'll login anyway.
Your time is the price to pay for playing a game for free. Were these release in 2002 like Ragnarok Online, we'd be topping up credits for hours of gametime. It also sucked that we had to rent PCs back then. I'll take the current situation in the likes of Genshin where you don't have to camp for hours killing enemies and hope something drops. While worrying that someone stronger comes along and steal your spot. Just like my Ragnarok Online days.
Its why I only play hsr. You can auto and forget or you can be engaged if you want. Zzz dailies are faster until you need to build your character and the events and weeklies in that game are too time consuming.
I’ve been thinking about wanting dailies changed to weeklies for months! Just to burn through it and get that week’s currency out of the way and move on to something else.
Despite I'm buying like welkin package for Wuwa, the game is fun so yeah I open it daily just to build up my characters or gather resources for upcoming characters and patch. I mean as long you have goal for open the game and have fun it will does not feel like chores. I play a lot of gachas but already dropped it completely or I will open it back like after few months. Just take it easy guys.
Burh, genshin requires you to have an encounter points to be able to claim the dailies by using resin. The problem with that is you can only earn those encounter points by doing the archon quest/events or farming mats, and you can't stack it since it will be reset in the next patch. Seriously, why can't Hoyo make the dailies as simple like in HRS.
this is truee. but other liveservice/free to play games also demands us to do dailies to maximize rewards. for me, if i enjoy logging in everyday i think its fine. if the daily logging in experience started to piss me off i simple stopped playing. fomo be damned.
Yeah Whne I stopped playing Genshin and honkai, I felt peace and Now In My Opinion, playing genshin nowadays feels like a chore. But I switched to Wuwa and I couldn't be more happier, that game feels like a fun game I enjoy playing, The quests, are fun, they give you a reason to farm for Echos and more material and the combat is great now, And I don't have to be limited to using certain characters because of their elements like genshin, but in wuthering waves you can just pick ANY character and you can still do Great dmg since the enemies you fight don't have a element you need to have to beat it
Dailies with Pull Currency should be turn into weekly instead, so I won't feel the pressure or stress missing a single day cause of real life stuff... had to uninstall Genshin Impact recently cause I can't play 2 Open World Gacha (Genshin Impact vs Wuthering Waves) like what I did with Tower of Fantasy years ago. I have some hope that Kuro Games might be the only Gacha Company to end this vicious cycle... as they have a good track records of paying attention to reasonable quality of life improvement from players suggestions.
If the dallies are necessary to getting free currency the only to skip is to be a spend money and be a dolphin and you can get every character you want. The only thing that time sensitive is the events. Otherwise if you play 10+ games at the same time you have to choose your favorite characters for the month to roll for a ignore the meta. Gacha games are easy you can clear all content with non meta characters as long as build them and if your having trouble clearing that what makes it fun you don't need a c6 meta character to clear the dungeons in 5 seconds.
You didn't talk about "quick sweep" which some gacha games have. PGR the from the same company as Wuwa also has it. Just one click and finish all the dalies (just some chores which is just non-engaging and repetitive fights) and then spend the time for actually good content.
I really dont bother to open all these games daily, only exeption is genshin cuz... Obviously, but Wuwa I log in only on weekends and Im chilling in that game. As for HSR... They can expect me every month or so...
Dailies are one of the only thing I dislike, I typically don’t like logging into daily In my case arknights has dailies but it isn’t really required (I’m my opinion) Taking breaks from it helps as well, I’ve taken a break for a few weeks before
That's specifically why star rail is my favorite gotcha cause I play it a couple days out of each patch other wise it's just running in the background while I'm doing anything else thanks to the auto battle.
Auto battle is nice but its still the same problem if you don't want to miss out on rewards you "have" to open it every single day even when you don't feel like it which is honestly where I'm at with hsr. I don't want to open it every single day. fomo is a b**** as f2p
It's not about that We are gamers right? What gamer do? Yup playing games everyday So but daily rewards aside You gonna play the game itself daily anyway Because you a gamer and you love that game
bro missed the whole point as a gamer you play GAMES every day not ONE GAME every day it can happen with a game for what ? a month , half a year ? , that's it
@stioorg not with micro transaction games , Games like valorant, fortnite, wuwa , genshin impact, honkai star rail , overwatch 2 Have no end New seasons and updates for years without stopping, I know some people been playing fortnite for 7 years since the release , But for single player games like rdr2 , cyberpunk, witcher 3 , elden ring You don't need to login everyday and you gonna play the game or keep at at you're pc at Max for 6 months and you gonna install it again only if they release a dlc , That's how games works , I hope you got my point And tell me how many years you been playing valorant and everyday , + we don't play one game everyday we play many Games everyday
@@GameRTmaster they are called live service games and yes this rule applies to them , you don't have to play live service games every single day , you might be busy on one of those days , or want to play other games , if you play like 5 games a day you might not want to play one of them like you just don't feel like it , daily system makes you HAVE to open the game even if you feel like playing the others it's not complicated to understand
@stioorg true and my point is most of people log In daily to enjoy the game and daily missions is just a part of the thing not the all of it That what I meant True there is little slice of people just do daily missions and quit But not all of us For example I've been playing genshin for 4 years and most of the time I enjoy playing in coop with friends and exploring the open world with them and we do some mini games together it's really fun , True sometimes burn out happened that's normal And I just quit for some weeks until I feel excited again about the game, And the wrong thing about players If they treat the game as just for getting new characters and collecting primo Bro just quit If you like the game you will enjoy the game not just collecting primogems and getting new characters That's a gambling addiction
True, but it has already exist during 2010 game product, failing game due to cash flow in daily process like the car must drive within 2-3 days or repair damage. Same goes as Facebook, twitter or etc as part your daily view for their profit revenue. Sony, Nitendo and steam has earn the higher profit and achieve as all customer desire. This isn't really much different from PGR 30 currency for dailies 1000 for weeklies (which can be completed in 2 days) and dailies take like 5 minutes max to do anyway
HSR dailies takes less than 1 minute. I log on, autobutton thru calyx using friend support and I complete the dailies of the day. Nothing too difficult.
You are missing the point. Playing the game for 5 mins when you dont feel like it is not good . You play a game whenever you want not whenever you have to
I think wuwa should daily like TOF for two week 700 point u get every asterite at 1200 point u get material like tune and echo exp and at 1400 u get 5 echo with one of them having crit and u can do random or one element
This is the problem of Chinese gacha games only have. Back in 2018 I first played Honkai 3rd and ended up quiting after a while cuz daily missions were so exhausting. In chinese online game industry there is a popular theory that they utilized reward system to exploit players and drain their free time. JP Gacha games have a horrible event designs but I will leave it at that
I agree very much. I was always thinking about it, especially when there are strong claims about games being casual. Well, putting emphasis on logging in daily is NOT casual. No matter if it's even 10mins, some people just can't and in the long run it's euughh, as it was said. I was thinking that it's perfectly alright and understandable to make logging it daily rewarding, but that should be it - rewarding, more extra than baseline. It would be much better if you could get / use vast majority of regular rewards /stamina by logging in two day a week. Ohh, ToF is like that?? I never knew, interesting.
I mean just really don’t care about the premium currency from dailies I’m an f2p in genshin and I can clear the game and get my favourites with no problem yeah I missed 1 character but that’s not the end of the day
What about the new game that's just about to be released In 2025 a anime battle royale but also an fps shooting game I'm just not sure if it's a gacha game it's called fate trigger the Novita I just might thought on your idea about this.
p2w mmo slop had problems with daily system since release, but now it is not a problem of the game, but a positive feature... yeah yeah don't like daily shit - don't do them, the loss is not that big in most gachas, the problem is more in the energy system than in the dailies
I mean I know this make me sound like Gachashill that got brainwashed or Stockholm syndrome'd but complaining about this in a live service game or Gacha game is stupid. *Like yes, It was.* You should've know this if you stepped foot on a game that requires you to be always online, The whole point of gacha game existence is to get as much profit as possible. that's should be the end of this entire conversation, do you know why Genshin impact music designed to be unreasonably nostalgic? Yes, they are trying to hook you emotionaly, because once they got you into that nostalgic loop hole, then it would be VERY HARD to you to be detached from that product, and this explain why Genshin living rent free on WuWa fans... Prime example of that? IS MINECRAFT. Y'all keep gaslighting your self and believe you loved that game while in reality you only play it like once every years because you feels nostalgic, and then dump it 3 days later, shit like this happened in genshin too, but more controlled than Minecraft did to provoke your emotion. Which explain why people failed to Boycotts genshin on soo many times, they failed to detach themselves from the product because of the nostalgia effects. Despite already knowing how bad and tone deaf they are If they want to respect your time and money, they probably would've went and made a offline game like BM:Wukong and RDR2, or maybe something online but it's community driven, like Minecraft or Geometry dash, where they let the community do whatever they want with their game and let the community choose what they actually want...

Not as much as gacha games. Dailies exist in almost every live service game but dailies in gacha games give the most amount of rewards per patch unlike other normal games that present way less fomo
What does that have to do with anything. The game being bad in so many other things doesnt mean it doesnt have some good in it we can be fair instead of just calling something bad and move on

@@abdulrahmanzubairu8371 ya man, why limit it at 480, might as well limit it at 2400 like star rail
F2P here didn't login for more then 5 days and I couldn't be any happier
Same. I'm personally not afraid of missing out on dailies. Reruns exist for a reason.
Same. I don't particularly care to log in every day. I play a bunch of gachas, i sometimes forget about them for months lmao.
Agreed 👍
I hate it, it's the biggest reason I burn out on any game, a feeling of obligation to play as all the fun dies.
yes so true. turn dailies and daily stamina cap into weekly would be such a blessing.
Yes. 100% agree. MMOs learned this literally a decade ago to stop making people log in everyday if you want to retain players. After a while MMO dailies became pretty much worthless unless you were brand new as they gave you materials rather than mandatory items.
I'm pretty sure all MMO have dailies and weekly gated content
Finally someone agreeing with me that dailies are tiring
If you want to play the game you like every single day do as you want but I don't want to be obligated to do so
I had a week were I traveled so I couldn't open the game and that week I realized how much I'm happier for not opening it
EXACTLY !
Exactly. I love ToF's reward recovery and auto exploration
so true, this is one of the reasons i got sick of HSR even tho i seriously liked the game.
another true statement is that when i subbed i won my shorekeeper 50/50. Thank you Stioorg.
tl;dr - make dailies into weeklies
Holy shit I agree.
@ you have to log in but you don’t have to claim it. Everyday you don’t log in, the reward is lost forever. At least this is what I remember.
"Gacha gaming is and always will be a source of nourishment for r34 and nothing more than that."
xD
Can't belief don't like logging into your favorite (insert name) gacha of all time every day
How else will you fall into the psychological trap of brute forcing it (logging into game) into your daily routine via rewards incentives, and eventually (approx. a month) becoming a habit that isn't even giving second thoughts about.
Here are a few solutions that could potentially address this issue:
I honestly love this concept, thanks man!
i've been thinking about this these past weeks, specially after metaphor came out. having to play every day is making me want to drop every gacha game and and focus on playing normal, self contained games that actually end and you can go to the next
I agree with what you said and thank you for sharing this idea. Maybe i should take a note about this and write it in the next feedback
( My English isn't very good , sorry to those whose had stroke reading this)
While I agree with what your saying we both know these types of QoL ain't happening unless its proven more money can be generated, these types of QoL are basically asking for Gachas to stop being gachas which is what these companies don't want.
Never have a problem with dailies personally.
Yep, that's actually the thing that really needed to be a thing. I mean, many people don't have time to play except on weekends.
The standard should be that if you haven't logged in for x amount of days, and you complete the daily for that day. They should give the rewards for all the previous days. Maybe they apply a monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly limit. But this would definitely improve the overall quality of these games.
Me personally, I use this daily system as a reason to keep playing it when I finally get caught up with things to do until the next major update.
same in limbus they only have the weekly dungeon and by end game you can get most characters after a few months of the weekly cycle and thats not counting events
I actually like the dailies in wuwa. It doesnt take too much time either. Id like a weekly rewards but im also fine with dailies. Everytime after a busy day, doing dailies is like a relaxation and a good time to actually play the game. Bonus if you frequent in coop like me. Dailies cool for me hehe but looks like weeklies are for more busy people
Hsr dailies you literally just use stamina on auto i Don't think it's bad maybe wuwa and genshine yes even zzz dailies you Don't even need to use stamina it's like 4 min of walking you can even open it from your phone i feel dailies are a reminder to do this weeklies i most of the time forget them
The games on my phone who doesn't have dailies i play them like 1 time a month i even forget them existing
Maybe if they add both options it will be good but not removing them
if you only care about 60 polychromes in zzz, yes it takes like 2 minutes of walking.
@@nicecoat5004 for me if dailies aren't in the game i will probably forget their existing many games on my phone i forget that they exist
And battle pass i never felt like iam late in zzz or hsr they do them self maybe wuwa and genshine i need to read the missions

Dishonored 1 & 2
BG3
Elden Ring
DOOM & ETERNAL
All of these games and literally thousands more are worth your time and have well made stories as they are complete.
My deadass game TOF getting glazed out of nowhere? Nowaying 😂
i miss the release days of global, they were pretty fun
Its why I only play hsr. You can auto and forget or you can be engaged if you want. Zzz dailies are faster until you need to build your character and the events and weeklies in that game are too time consuming.
3:12 pgr does the exact same thing , you need to open the game 2 times a week to get every reward, the reward of dailies are almost none existent
I’ve been thinking about wanting dailies changed to weeklies for months! Just to burn through it and get that week’s currency out of the way and move on to something else.
So like limbus. There is dailies but they are kinda wothless, main reward comes from weekly md reset
But I switched to Wuwa and I couldn't be more happier, that game feels like a fun game I enjoy playing, The quests, are fun, they give you a reason to farm for Echos and more material and the combat is great now, And I don't have to be limited to using certain characters because of their elements like genshin, but in wuthering waves you can just pick ANY character and you can still do Great dmg since the enemies you fight don't have a element you need to have to beat it
Login every day and doing daily and farming material for new character made me hate HSR
Gacha games are easy you can clear all content with non meta characters as long as build them and if your having trouble clearing that what makes it fun you don't need a c6 meta character to clear the dungeons in 5 seconds.
finally someone said it, man i hate dailies so much
You didn't talk about "quick sweep" which some gacha games have.
Dailies are one of the only thing I dislike, I typically don’t like logging into daily
In my case arknights has dailies but it isn’t really required (I’m my opinion)
Taking breaks from it helps as well, I’ve taken a break for a few weeks before
That's specifically why star rail is my favorite gotcha cause I play it a couple days out of each patch other wise it's just running in the background while I'm doing anything else thanks to the auto battle.
Auto battle is nice but its still the same problem if you don't want to miss out on rewards you "have" to open it every single day even when you don't feel like it which is honestly where I'm at with hsr. I don't want to open it every single day. fomo is a b**** as f2p
Fact. I couldn't agree more. Gatcha games should have a weekly schedule. Real life issues.
It's not about that
We are gamers right?
What gamer do?
Yup playing games everyday
So but daily rewards aside
You gonna play the game itself daily anyway
Because you a gamer and you love that game
bro missed the whole point
as a gamer you play GAMES every day
not ONE GAME every day
it can happen with a game for what ? a month , half a year ? , that's it
@stioorg not with micro transaction games ,
Games like valorant, fortnite, wuwa , genshin impact, honkai star rail , overwatch 2
Have no end
New seasons and updates for years without stopping,
I know some people been playing fortnite for 7 years since the release ,
But for single player games like rdr2 , cyberpunk, witcher 3 , elden ring
You don't need to login everyday and you gonna play the game or keep at at you're pc at Max for 6 months and you gonna install it again only if they release a dlc ,
That's how games works ,
I hope you got my point
And tell me how many years you been playing valorant and everyday ,
+ we don't play one game everyday we play many Games everyday
@@GameRTmaster they are called live service games and yes this rule applies to them , you don't have to play live service games every single day , you might be busy on one of those days , or want to play other games , if you play like 5 games a day you might not want to play one of them like you just don't feel like it , daily system makes you HAVE to open the game even if you feel like playing the others it's not complicated to understand
@stioorg true and my point is most of people log In daily to enjoy the game and daily missions is just a part of the thing not the all of it
That what I meant
True there is little slice of people just do daily missions and quit
But not all of us
For example I've been playing genshin for 4 years and most of the time I enjoy playing in coop with friends and exploring the open world with them and we do some mini games together it's really fun ,
True sometimes burn out happened that's normal
And I just quit for some weeks until I feel excited again about the game,
And the wrong thing about players
If they treat the game as just for getting new characters and collecting primo
Bro just quit
If you like the game you will enjoy the game not just collecting primogems and getting new characters
That's a gambling addiction
True, but it has already exist during 2010 game product, failing game due to cash flow in daily process like the car must drive within 2-3 days or repair damage. Same goes as Facebook, twitter or etc as part your daily view for their profit revenue. Sony, Nitendo and steam has earn the higher profit and achieve as all customer desire. Remember Mobile game is the toughest and hardest earning for companies, they have shut down more than 100 games due to the new era market. Even through we have argue many points of dissatisfaction, we still appreciate mobile game as the company still survive and give a hug interest or surprising in the long run. Really hard to see they release many part of events like manga, animation, movie and etc. *****
sure that's true , but it can still be tuned a little and still work
@@stioorg Add, I wish most mobile game companies would do better not to fall or join a Tenant company or government. There would be too much danger if our wishes came true under their calculation. *****
that why gacha game never good , one of the reason . There plenty more but this is one big reason .
This isn't really much different from PGR
30 currency for dailies
1000 for weeklies (which can be completed in 2 days)
and dailies take like 5 minutes max to do anyway
HSR dailies takes less than 1 minute. I log on, autobutton thru calyx using friend support and I complete the dailies of the day. Nothing too difficult.
You are missing the point. Playing the game for 5 mins when you dont feel like it is not good . You play a game whenever you want not whenever you have to
Welcome back bro i I missed you 🐱❤
I think wuwa should daily like TOF for two week 700 point u get every asterite at 1200 point u get material like tune and echo exp and at 1400 u get 5 echo with one of them having crit and u can do random or one element
Ight, amma return to ToF next year
PGR has most of the rewards in the weeklies, its definatly better imo, but of course they got them dallies too lol
out of all the big 3d style gacha game tof is the one doing this, why man, shoud i give tof anothe chance
Currently happening to me with subzeru festival.
Still getting those primos though 👀
I mean just really don’t care about the premium currency from dailies I’m an f2p in genshin and I can clear the game and get my favourites with no problem yeah I missed 1 character but that’s not the end of the day
Bro forgot Honkai impact XD
I think Genshin Impact is the best if you are good artifacts and useful 4 stars and great team for elemental reactions
What about the new game that's just about to be released In 2025 a anime battle royale but also an fps shooting game I'm just not sure if it's a gacha game it's called fate trigger the Novita I just might thought on your idea about this.
Well i am opposite i wait daily to come so that i get reward as much as possible and i only play wuwa and mlbb
p2w mmo slop had problems with daily system since release, but now it is not a problem of the game, but a positive feature... yeah yeah
don't like daily shit - don't do them, the loss is not that big in most gachas, the problem is more in the energy system than in the dailies
Yup hence 3 devices on hand 🤣
No shit money and pity is the main one
I mean I know this make me sound like Gachashill that got brainwashed or Stockholm syndrome'd but complaining about this in a live service game or Gacha game is stupid. *Like yes, It was.* You should've know this if you stepped foot on a game that requires you to be always online,
The whole point of gacha game existence is to get as much profit as possible. that's should be the end of this entire conversation, do you know why Genshin impact music designed to be unreasonably nostalgic?
Despite already knowing how bad and tone deaf they are
If they want to respect your time and money, they probably would've went and made a offline game like BM:Wukong and RDR2, or maybe something online but it's community driven, like Minecraft or Geometry dash, where they let the community do whatever they want with their game and let the community choose what they actually want...
gacha is a live service daily log in is your free payment method if y can't understand that then don't ever play gacha
No one came and put that as a law . I literally gave an example of a gacha game that doesnt have dailies. You are not obligated to defend that dogshit
@@stioorg im not defend it either
we can cry about it all the time it will never change its also most gacha will be dead in a month if they ever do that
people will log in for 3 days in every update do everything new then come back next update y just don't understand that point
@@GeithSalim i'm aware about that point, that's why i never said fomo should be removed but replaced with something less overwhelming like weeklies, if the game is good , it will survive.
@@stioorg can't y see how many gacha are dead with even daily fomo imagine how much more dead gacha will be if there is no reason for y to log in every day also for the people who actually Wana play daily have the time or enjoy the game imagine how they feel if they don't get good things out of that
@@stioorg for most games y don't really loss Alot if y miss a couple of days and when y don't feel like playing for like a week or so that should give y a good reason that game isn't for y anymore and drop it for something fresh
What game is this? 3:37
tower of fantasy
i can do dailies without a problem, what i don't like is to make this dailies a job, some games force you to spend a lot of time to do everything to get all resources and tokens to get the item or a character and sometimes they won't and f2p are doomed and won't get nothing (looking to you WuWa)
the problem is not the FOMO is the every fuckin banner the char is the meta and after sometime later will be a paperweight make the experience a pain...
This is dumb
True
this is really every online service game. They use daily login numbers to get more investors.
Not as much as gacha games. Dailies exist in almost every live service game but dailies in gacha games give the most amount of rewards per patch unlike other normal games that present way less fomo
4:35 ok i Suscribed
and then Unsuscribed
and then left a dislike
and it was well deserved, for that cheap trick 😂
In my opinion. Gacha should only have monthly.
This is why i made love and deepspace my main game
That’s even worse for F2P😭
worst example
Good point
just dont do dailies
and look how many play tof now
What does that have to do with anything. The game being bad in so many other things doesnt mean it doesnt have some good in it we can be fair instead of just calling something bad and move on
Maybe. Just maybe. there is something wrong with me . Already at my 4th account 🥲
I mean its fine as long as you are enjoying ur time and chosing to do so
