great video, easy and to the point. I have the X500 and it took me less than 5 minutes and after doing so I realized the deck had not been properly leveled before being delivered. It gives a sense of accomplishment to be able to do everything on the mower yourself.

My dealer is the absolute worse.
I just hate that. I'll bet they charged you good level money for the get-ready fee too.

I just bought one and paid for the setup, but it seems low. I am about to work on it today.
Drop the wheels down so the deck can float over hills and bumps. Otherwise you'll be chopping into the dirt at all times if you have un even terrain.
So you guys don't offer a free .pdf of the owner's manual like the rest of the world?
The bracket holding the nut has broken on one side and it just free spins, how to do I fix this?

I have 2 different leveling clicks. one shows x300 and mine is a x320 and the other selection.. the next click back shows.. all other decks. It's only 1/4 inch difference. I just don't know when they show x300 if they are referring to x300 series mowers or just the x300.
Bought a used X300 and it doesn't have the T-tool, or the holes above the deck for one to go into...
Now what?
I found mine stuck in the leveling knob. I did not know what it was and had to pry it out.
I bought mine new and it doesn’t have any of this.

It 100% is a 19mm for the front draft arm.
I have an older x500 have checked tire pressure. Have to level it with a wrench in the back. The” tool” must be for newer models. I’ve leveled it twice and the wheels are still causing me to scalp the yard. When i put them 1/4 “ off the ground two of the wheels are in the 3rd detent 2 are in the 4th?? I cant find info anywhere on it???

I assure you it's not easy. Just leveled my deck on my x570. First Session 1 hour and 1 rounded out level adjustment allen tool. Went to John Deere and got a new level adjustment Allen wrench $17. Second session 3 and 1/2 hours and it's still not completely level, and the brand new Allen tool is already starting to round out. The problem is I need to adjust mine higher in the back to ensure the deck is level but if I go any higher I can't lock the mower deck in the up position. Terrible design I love to see one of the engineers who design this adjust one outside of their test facility in the real world.

Not exactly a how-to for people who don’t know their way around the mower already. So, not helpful for me. The next mower I buy will be easier to troubleshoot and service on my own. Seriously, I have better things to do than rewind this video and replay. So not intetested. Also, instruction John Deere instruction manuals are terrible. Terrible!
If you think the X300 manual is terrible, you should try the dump/dozer instructions! I was told it takes about 1/2 hour to install, and I spent about an hour per page (it think it was 5 pages) plus going to Lowes 3 times to buy hardware that was not in the bag supplied ...
Regretfully own an X540. Prefer my Bad Boy Outlaw or my old, reliable International Cub Cadets over this green and yellow garbage.
My x530 has been treating me well along with my original onan 316.
