Your videos are so encouraging to me! I've really appreciated hearing from experienced homeschool moms about less being more when it comes to homeschooling. I have a chronic illness and open and go curriculum has been such a blessing. I don't think we could homeschool without it!

Thank you so much! I'm glad to hear they have been helpful. Less really is more. Family above school every time. It's creates an environment that makes kids want to learn and grow more. Good for you that you can see it and follow through on taking the rest that you and your kids need!

This was so encouraging! I enjoy being home and i have more peace and give room to snuggle during readings or linger during our nature walk. When we're busy, I feel rushed and feel like a task master trying to beat the clock.

Thank you! My thoughts exactly. I think being home puts less pressure on kids and moms which ultimately makes a great atmosphere for learning.

I feel guilty for not involving my kids in sports or other activities, co-ops… but I have adhd and my kids are similar to me. We do not thrive when we are too busy. We have the complete opposite happen, we shut down. We can’t listen to directions, we forget steps, important details and we become frustrated.

I feel the same. Our home is peaceful when we keep it simple.

Will you tell us the curriculum you use at some point? Thanks so much! i always see other homeschool Moms talk about morning baskets, Charlotte Mason or whatever homeschool they like classical, montessori etc. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a system or a type of homeschool method you like to follow. However, my child thrives in simple. My favorite part of a simple homeschool is my Autistic child knows how to start or complete his familiar lessons and lesson patterns. I think simple is great with a willingness to try new things. Because my son is comfortable and familiar with his curriculums -- it is easy to add on or try something new. This year, because of his love of crafts and art, and his need to cut extra due to delayed fine motor skills, we tried the history learning pockets from Evan-Moor. They are inexpensive and he is loving History and wants to learn more. I think homeschool is about helping your children learn in all the ways individual children learn so co-ops are great, extracucciculars are great -- but, simple is fantastic too! I also love homeschooling, because we can impart our Faith to him and let him understand in his own way.

I love hearing all your reasons for homeschooling! We feel the same!
And I agree with you on keeping it simple. Our homeschool is simple as well. I think that's what has made it so good.
I have done a few videos on my curriculum. I will link them below.
