Thanks for visiting our local trails! Our Jakes Gravity crew would love to show you the local lines next time you come! (6-8-10 foot drops!) So pumped you enjoyed what has been built here all in the past 6 years 🙌🏼 Hope to see you on the trails, cheers!
Go to the fest every year and love the trails, especially dropping down Ursus to camp. I just don't go quite as fast as what you see on the vid and rarely double anything. But hey, what do you expect, I'm in my mid sixties. Anyway going there next weekend and can't wait!
I live in NE OH and these are the closest mountains, so I have been riding W PA and the Allegheny area for 30 years. Just about all PA state parks have mtb trails or allow shared access. PA has been doing it right for years, when compared to OH. They believe in cooperation and shared access to drive their ideology, and they have multiple groups who work on the same trails. Head a little south east and ride Moraine State Park near New Castle., if you have not. I think the tech there would be right up your alley. Great vid as usual Boss.
The Northern Allegheny Mountain Bike Association is putting on a "Trail Fest" at Jake's Rocks on September 23-25. Live music, food, local breweries...and lots of shenanigans! The Western NY and Northern PA area is really embracing mountain biking, and we're stoked that you got a taste of what we have to offer 🤟
Jake's Rock is awesome! I rode there last Wednesday as a go to vacation spot out of Pittsburgh. Looks like you got the same great weather I did. I am glad a pro rider like you were stoked on what was built out there. Jake's was one of the first places I rode where all levels of trail were fun to me. Yes you do stop and check out all the cool rocks haha. Three Sisters Trail has you pedal through a short hallway with the boulders as the walls. And Bald Eagle trail has impressive rock work done by the trail builders. I would say 10-15% of the trail is purely rocks puzzled together. (The rocks are holding moss so proceed accordingly) Again, cool to see you enjoyed your time there.
Next time you're up this way, get a hold of All of us from The candaid event you came to at 6 Mile Creek Park will be glad to show you all of the local lines out there at Jake's Rocks
Nice vid, many thanks! I ride in nearby Ellicottville, NY once or twice a year which is fantastic, but I've notice how many of the local riders say "You gotta check out Jakes Rocks!" Labor Day weekend is coming up....hmmmmmm. 🤔
You might also like what they are doing at Holimont, if you’re into either DH or XC. It’s my understanding that they plan to continue to invest in MTB trails and IMO it has the potential to become a solid riding destination for those of us with a couple hours drive.
There’s an enduro stage race there this weekend that I’m thinking about doing. It would be my first enduro and first time there, and no chance to pre-ride.
Warren PA. Which is North Western Pennsylvania by The Kinzua Reservoir. Jake's Rock Picnic Area is what you use for Google maps. I was there last Wednesday. It is a great vacation area.
It was a combination of both. It seemed like a decent amount of climbing. I linked to Trailforks in the description so you can check it out there for the correct info lol. My memory is off
You can drive all of the way up to the Jakes Rocks upper parking lot, park, and ride the trails down as far as you want, then ride the trails back up, or take the road back up.
Hi Jeff just atarted watching your videos really enjoying. I know you have done a few vids on doing drop off before, would you possibly be able to do a tutorial on drops that is hardtail specific, i ride a hardtail and cant aeem to get the fear factor of not having a rear ahock out to break my fall of my head. Any tips or suggestions?
A couple of us ride TAJR (on eMTBs) in July 2022 and had the time of our lives. Was fantastic. EMTBs are perfect here for those of us who are fans of pedalling back up. Met a couple people (father and son) who were shuttling there (courtesy of mom/grandma and dad/grandpa) who were having the same amount of fun 😁👍

That sounds awesome!
Thanks for highlighting some of Pennsylvania's amazing trails. Jakes is one of my favorites.

That trail put a smile on my face from just watching.
Stoked to have you in the Midwest.
That’s three hours from Rays Indoor MTB park.

What an amazing set of trails! Hope to see more from this place, thank you for sharing this gem with us jeff.
This looks a little like East rim in Cleveland, one of my favorite trails anywhere.

I gotta get back!
Wow! The flow on those trails look amazing! Definitely adding that to my list!
Man I’ve heard good things about jakes. Nice video Lenosky I’ll have to check these out next time I go back home to PA🤘
Old school tech mixed with some new-style flow! That looks like my kind of spot. Tempted to do a Pittsburgh riding trip.
On my list of places to check out - looks sweet!
Wow that place does look like a blast!
That's some pretty crazy looking massive rocks. Wow

The wood & stone features are beautiful.
Awesome! I want to practice MTB in this trail too!
Great to see you riding up in our area, maybe Thunder Rocks for some trials riding!
I’d love to get back there

Bald Eagle?
I was just north of there at Holiday Valley last week. Wish I knew about Jakes Rocks!

Do it! Next weekend, on the 18th is the race!
This spot looks amazing! Not too far from LI.
@Jeff Lenosky that was really cool! Looks like a ton of fun...where in PA is that?

Wow This place looks fun!
How long was the climb to the top and was it fire road or single track?

Use your arms and legs for suspension. Check out some of my videos. You can see how your body can absorb much more than your bike can.
Thanks for your relply and hi from South africa
Nice!!!
🤙
If you go early in the a.m. and during the week you practically have the place to yourself.
