PORTMAN is an instrumental experimental rock band from Našice, Croatia, formed in 2004. Their music is a fusion of many different influences such as Rock'n' Roll, Stoner Rock, Metal, Post Pock, Punk, New Wave, Disco etc.
They started as a melodic Death Metal band, but when their singer and guitarist left in 2006. they went on as a trio. and due to their constant problem with finding a proper singer, they started experimenting and developing their sound as an instrumental band.
In 2006 they released their "Demo 2006." (free download - portman.bandcam... ), and in 2008 Josip Zupčić joined the band, replacing Martin Odrljin on bass.
Their first official album, "Pereskesije" (free download - portman.bandcam... ), was recorded and released in 2009.
The band is currently preparing for the recording of their second album.
