Word to the wise, don't ever buckle up 4x4 or crossing water. If your seat don't get jammed, you could be done, especially on sides of cliffs, you may have to bell out. I have a friend, it saved his life. Not having his seat belt on bailing out on a 300 foot cliff, his truck went over.

Good on you for going back to basics with a tinnie on the roof. Best way to go. Tinnies allow you to get into a lot of places larger trailer boats cant get too. The size and amount of gear people take bush these days is ridiculous
