    I absolutely love the Land Breeze Pro 4. I camped in Utah and Arizona in early fall for 7 days with it. So much ventilation! It was very nice. It’s definitely more of a Basecamp tent since it can be a pain to set up with all of the clips, stakes and guyline points. For overnight trips, I like to take my 2P backpacking tent since it’s easy to setup. Thanks for walking us through your setup again and as always great review!

      Thank you for watching! That sounds like an awesome trip, Utah and Arizona would be cool to checkout, the scenery out there looks incredible. Definitely agree, this ones best for those extended stays and keeping things simple on those overnighters is key! Thanks for your support!

    How long does it takes you to assemble and disassemble this setup on campsite?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      It takes us about an hour with the two of us, but keep in mind we set this stuff up frequently. Having dedicated spots for packing and organizing all the tent interior stuff into one large bin helps speed up the process as well.

    Another great video. I recently purchased the Alpha Breeze tent based on watching your channel. May I ask which tarp do you recommend if you only could choose one? I see you have several in your collection.

      Thank you, really happy to hear the videos have been helpful! I find myself using the Hexa M tarp the most, which is the first one I bought. If you find yourself camping in rain or plan to have your fire under the tarp, I’d go for the takibi tarp. The land nest tarp is a bit more squared off than the Hexa and uses two of the same height poles.
      It’s tough, id say biggest factors I’d consider is how large of a group you’re going with or how much coverage you’d prefer. The nice thing is all the tarps go up pretty much the same way.
      Eventually all have to get a review up of each!

    Happy new year! Can you please compare this tarp with the hexa medium tarp that you have been using in previous trips? Apart from the size, is there anything that make you don’t want to go back to use the Hexa tarp?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Happy new year! I really like how highly configurable the Recta tarp is. Having the option to taper the back down like I did in this video is nice and it changes the whole feel of the setup as well as creating a more private campsite. And despite how big the recta tarp is, it goes up just as easy as the hexa tarps. We mainly go places where we don't have many camp neighbors and usually we don't bring the futon and larger kitchen setup, so the Hexa tarp is sufficient for most of our trips. However, for longer stays with friends and family it's nice to have the extra space that the Recta offers.
      I'm looking forward to taking the recta tarp out again and trying it with the back tapered down and just one center pole to prop up the side roof line. I think this would create a more compact layout of this tarp, while still having great wind protection and privacy of the back wall.

    Speaking of bears, do you pack some bear spray with you and where do you keep the food/yeti overnight? Is it the car or the vestibule of the tent?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, so I almost always keep my cooler and food items in my car at night. While I don't bring bear spray along, t's not a bad idea to have it depending on where you're camping. I always keep my campsite clean, so not leaving food and trash etc. easy accessible for any animals. If a bear were to enter your campsite, I would recommend just hitting the panic button on your car keys if it has that. The car horn should do the trick.

    Hi Ryan, I love your videos - thank you for making them! they really inform my SP purchases. I’m looking to get a single action table in M - I can’t fit the L one in my boot. We have two adults and one child. Can you fit someone on the end of the single action M table? I can see from your video that the legs come out right to the edge. Thanks!

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey, glad to hear the videos are helping! I'd say to use the single action M for a family of three, you'd have to be okay with two chairs on 1 side. The legs do come all the way on the sides, which will just end up getting kicked.
      There's plenty of table surface area, so I don't think it would be crammed by any means.

    Man, snowpeak has some nice tents. Only thing is (besides the land lock and alpha breeze) I can't stand in it . The alpha breeze didn't do it for me because of the color. I opted out for Coleman Japanese tents (Model tough wide V300) and they are nice! The peak height is a bit over 6ft and it is a very roomy 10×10 footprint. My bro in law is a big time Snowpeak fanatic, and he checked out my coleman Japan tent last time we camped. He thinks Coleman Japan comes from the same manufacture. The zippers seem exactly the same, and so does the craftsmanship. Both are made in or sewn in Vietnam. He has the amenity large tent. And thing is the last time we camped, which was a couple a few weeks ago, his zippers broke on his Snowpeak. He had to send it in for warranty repair. If that happens to my Coleman Japan tents, I'd be screwed since I'm here in the U.S. At least bought 2. That would be the only downside buying from Japan is the warranty don't know how they would handle that ...

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I've been hoping for a long time that they'd release a second color for the Alpha Breeze. I've never seen the Coleman Japanese versions, but wow, they look incredibly better than the U.S. offerings!

      @rtmadani yeah I can't find anyone who owns coleman Japan tents in the U.S. I might be the first. My brother in law just bought the coleman kitchen from amazon Japan and it is super nice.

    Hey Ryan! Quick camping stove question: you have probably seen camping videos (especially Asian ones) where people pre-flame a camping stove with a torch. Is this common practice? Why would you do that? I mean, I can guess but really? I did not find anything on Google because I don’t even know how to call it ^^

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, yeah I’m not really sure why anyone would do that. On my stoves that have the option to invert the fuel canister I pre light it to let some fuel run through, but I can’t think of any practical reason why someone would torch it prior to use.

    • @Mushroom_Samba
      @Mushroom_Samba 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@rtmadani Actually I ment the wood stoves, sorry I haven’t been clear. We got a Winnerwell and some keep flaming the oven and chimney with like a torch. Seems like they don’t want to stress the material so much when it’s cold outside and want to start burning wood inside. Just wondering if this is really necessary.

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Mushroom_Samba Ah yes I've seen this in many videos as well. I think they're trying to reduce any potential warping that could occur from the temperature shock. Personally, I just a light a small amount of tinder and it gradually warms itself up. My Winnerwell Nomad does have slight warping after the first use on one side, but it wasn't particularly cold out when I did the first burn and the warping still occurred. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to pre warm the stove with a torch, but I don't believe it's necessary.

    Do you sleep on top of the sijo sheets or under the sijo sheets? Do you place 1 Pembleton underneath your mattress as well? So 3 Pembleton's on top of you then Sijo then mattress then another Pembleton on the ground then inner tent sheet and then ground sheet?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We use the whole sheet set, so fitted and flat sheet. I’ll typically use the Pendleton Yakima camp on the floor, and 1 or 2 for sleeping depending on the weather. The only time I’ll do three is if it’s really freezing, but at that point it’s better to just use sleeping bags.

    Do you have any preference between the Hexa and Recta tarps?

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’d say my Hexa tarps get more use, but the Recta can give you more options setup wise. The Land Nest Tarp is kinda between Hexa and Recta as it’s more squared off and uses the same height poles.

    With so many doors and vents, leaking is a major concern. If you can do a real rain test with u inside, that could seal the deal for buying this tent.

    • @rtmadani
      @rtmadani 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I'll be taking it again soon, hopefully during some heavier rain to test this, but I'm pretty confident the Land Breeze will not leak as the rain flys on all snow peak tents are pretty much fully sealed. I've been out in some heavy rain with my other snow peak tents that aren't 4 season rated like the land breeze and have had zero issues with leaks.

I'm prepping for the rainy season here and wanted a beastie but breezey family tent. Hope this fits the environment here. No tent on its own bests the temp and humidity here so I will be using a camping fan to assist (as most ppl use fans in their tent) here. Hope you have Lots of enjoyment with your tents.
