Doing the cape with Ellwood last year was one of the most rewarding things I have done on the bike. I’m not a fast or great rider and whole time Woody and Ellyse and crew looked after me. Not once did I feel pushed for time. I was outside my comfort zone for most of the trip and loved every second of it. I can’t recommend these guys highly enough. I can’t wait to do another trip with them next year.
I don't know any women who ride, but I dig seeing these women who share the same passion for adventure that I do! Every time you post a video I fall in love with adventure motorcycling all over again. I hope you never stop!
Time to book a trip. This looks like a really rewarding experience and there were a lot of smiles in that group. The DRZ has to be a frontrunner for one of the best bikes ever.
What an awesome adventure! Nothing is better than seeing people overcome challenges while laughing. Riders reaching above their comfort zone to get the job done are so good to watch. And you really put in a top production on this one, mate. You really captured the event so well. I enjoyed every second of it. And it looks like the Ellwoods know how to run a great event!
Super impressed by all the options at numerous stages for various skill levels that Ellwood plan for - that has to be a winning recipe.🕊 The way the women in this group progressed their confidence levels is beyond awesome🙌🙀
What a great experience Dave. I am glad you were able to post this. I love riding with new people The accomplishments are so huge and the ability to conquer is awesome.
Love it! Spent 2 yrs based on Horn Island, flying all over the Cape, and of course the Torres Strait. Recognise a lot of where you guys were… Crocs everywhere!! As an ex Army vet(NZ), soon learned where and visited every WW2 plane wreckage I can find! Now have a DRZ in NZ, just finishing off contract in Borneo Malaysia. Go hard ladies!
Those Gals showed determination and grit. Excellent adventure, proving once again “if ya put yer mind to it, you can do it”. Massive respect and a 🎩-Tip to all. Cheers from 🇺🇸
Absolutely fantastic effort for the girls you have my full respect and most of all I am glad you made the journey. DOZA BIKERS SUPPORTING COUNTRY TOWNS QLD
Most riders need a way to easily set the idle speed way up. A knob or lever like a choke (or button for FI bikes) that sets the idle at about 2,000 rpm for water crossings, hillclimbs, rock climbs, and other technical areas where stalling is so common. It only takes a little practice to learn to use the clutch instead of the throttle to control speed. Most riders tend to lug the engine in tricky terrain and that leads to low speed tip-overs and stalled engines. Not a women rider issue, most riders of all ages and sexes tend to lug the engine instead of keeping the revs up. Low rpm in first gear means very low bike speed and many tip-overs that momentum would avoid. Not saying to go real fast, but balancing a bike at idle is hard on flat smooth ground, add in rocks, mud, branches, water, etc means a fail. Great video as always!
Great riding! Once again, the ladies show the perfect attitude having fun and great team work. The beach wheelie was awesome! I noticed the Hondas in the mix. Are they being tried out to replace the DRZ since Suzuki hasn't brought out an updated DRZ 400 to meet the ever stifling emissions regulations worldwide?
Makes we want to do this trip. I have a pink bolwell scooter 50 cc, not much experience on bitumen let alone this track crossing creeks and rivers, I have great balance and I’m a team player.. what do ya think? Seriously though this was a fantastic watch, all the women were great sports, really good fitness and very supportive to each other. Congratulations, it was quite an accomplishment.
Thanks mate. Welcome to MADTV as a member! I really appreciate it. I stuffed two gopro media units so your contribution will go towards replacing camera gear.
Thanks for this guys. I am a wife of a mad off road bike man..and i have to say i always wanted to ride a bike but got scared when I tried. I loved my raptor 660cc but was to chicken to loose the two extra wheels. Now that we are fulltime travelling we have no space for a quad..a 2 wheeler would be great. I think i have to bite the bullet and get over it. We cant have bikes just yet as we are on the road but we have heaps of time and are flexible where we are. I would like to do something like this but dont want to hold up the whole crew coz im a newbie. Could you point me in the right way to go about it??? Hubby would be more than happy to tag along no matter how slow/easy it is. Thanks

My wife and I have a T7 with trailer , like your vid’s just wish the foul language from Chris would have been edited out. But it’s your show.
Thought about it but it was her reaction. As you are aware we keep language down on this channel.
HOW GOOD WAS THAT???
