Waterfalls are my favourite subject, luckily here in Norway there are so many that you can find one without a single soul.

One suggestion for re visiting, save some of your best and some of your "almost" pictures from previous visits to your phone, so you can have what it is you want to improve on in your hand...and either wellingtons or Crocs and zip off trousers...

Hi Darren, some really great tips, buddy! If you allow, I would maybe add an additional one, which is not only trying to shoot "the waterfall", but also to tell stories about "the waterfall in its surroundings". That is what I often mention in my videos: photographing the soul of the place. Just my 50cents 😉
    Nice greetings,
    Christian

Go early because it provides the greatest benefit. Better lighting conditions and the majority if not all of people that could become a nuisance are to lazy to get out of bed before you would be finished and long gone.

Congrats on the repeated sighting of the Pasty Wanker Gorilla. Though not that rare anymore, I'm afraid. Nice waterfall, too.

Well done Darren, great advice, will return to my favorite waterfall and try the advice and hopefully won't have some silly person there, but will wait till the tourists reduce.

Another great video Darren thanks. I wonder could I make one suggestion... when showing the finished image could you let the full image stay on screen for a few seconds without pan so we can study the composition, see how its finished, what you included as well as what you left out. Cheers. Also the first image in this video at 2m30sec in, can you see the shape of a man with a moustache, arm by his side and looks like kneeling on one knee in the left lower portion of the waterfall? Very cool. Thanks again.

I really like Ballard as it looks more like a rainforest scene, pity they took out the entire forest that surrounds it tho 😳
