The quart that was 99 cents is now $3.59 in September 2024. Sadly, prices have gone up so much. Thank you for your videos. I love watching them.

I just cannot believe how you are knocking it out of the park lately with regards to my own winemaking

Thankfully I now wait at least 12 months before tasting the wine I make now.

Super simple and shoestring wine making process!

Once I realized that this was basically the winemaking process (although there are a few additional steps along the way) I know the winemaking was easy.

Hmm I love near a bunch of orchards in NY. I think I’ll try making some spiced apple wine in a few months! Probably will use the wine yeast though for the higher content. But if the bread yeast makes a sweeter drink marine I’ll try one of each.
You are seriously my favorite! I’ve watched a bunch of people doing videos about making wine but yours is the most complete and I love that you try to stay away from unnecessary chemical-ey stuff. I’m pry much going to try most of what you have made videos of 😂

I used this process. I added 3 oz of honey in the beginning and 1 cup of sugar. I made my own airlock. I just uploaded a short video and tagged you.

I've used a similar recipe several times and it always comes out great. It's supposed to age well but I've never tried.

I did one as a mead that turned out pretty well. I might try that one again.

    Sir,
I just "racked" 2 quarts pom juice and 2 qts. white grape juice into another vessel to let it sit. I'm not sure if I should have done so after a week or not any suggestions. Also, I'm going to start 2 more juices apple wine and grape juice just with bread yeast and sugar. 2 quarts.please advise

Love this recipe! Thanks for putting it out! My only question would be, would you add your usual 1/4 lemon and a bag of tea? All questions aside, I used your recipe for a batch of plum wine I made 9 months ago. And I got bit with the bug! Thanks for putting out this wealth of information!

You can, but I think he was just showing some beginners how simple it can be without the additions.

For such a small batch just a simple light squeeze, and maybe skip the tea.

It's time for me to do this one again. This time I'm going to do one with bread yeast and one with wine yeast to see the difference.

My first homemade batch came out great with your help!
I want to start experiment with adding less/no sugar to my juices but am not sure how that would effect flavor...
Would less sugar making less alcohol make it less bitter ??? Or would it just get bitter quicker from there being exponentially less of a workload for the yeast??
    Gratitude!

With out adding sugar it will probably only be 5 to 6% ABV the sugar it what the yeast turns to alcohol.

Such an amazing channel! QQ: is there any point of bottling this type of wine for like 6-12 months?

    • @DIYFermentation
      @DIYFermentation  2 ปีที่แล้ว

Aging does make a difference. I don't start drinking mine until at least 12 months from the start.
