  • In this video I go in depth about the MB Trailmaster and its engine. We go through the mods I have on the motor and a side by side comparison from when it was BRAND NEW and i had just modded it VS the same motor with the same parts only after 1 YEAR of hard use. These stock jiang dong 196cc motors that come with the bike do a fairly good job for being cheap. The Trailmaster its self has also done a good job of lugging my fat butt around wherever i want to go as well.

I got me a Trailmaster MB200 a few weeks ago, and I totally love it. I did a stage 1 performance upgrade from Gopowersports, and I can really see the difference. So far, I haven't had any problems, so i would like to say it's a pretty good bike and It's a joy to ride. Btw.. cool vid man, and thanks for sharing it.

Of course! If stage one doesn't feel like enough for you in the future. An aluminum weight in the drive gear of CVT will really wake up the launch, also makes it yank less and smoother engaging. Then 60 tooth rear gear will raise your dirt top speed but lower your road top speed about 2-3 mph. To be honest I just can't stop modifying mine haha there is so much that fits on it haha

@lifeoffline2248 Me too, haha... I'm a bit addicted now. I do ride on trails, so I will be changing to a 60 tooth. I also will be upgrading to some better, bigger shocks to make my riding a bit smoother. Some day, I might upload some vids of my friends and I riding some trails. God speed!

Hell yeah brotha would love to see it!! If your in dirt I suggest that aluminum weight in the drive gear. Takes about 30 secs to swap out and gets more power down low, becareful When looking for shocks the 60$ Amazon one do well. But usually loose the spring in about 8-10 months. There is a nitrogen one from go power sports that is the king of shocks for these. Bit pricey though.

Oh yeah all the guys out here got something. There is a lot of places to off road. I have a couple miles of dry riverbed behind my house! I can almost make it down to the Rio grande:)

Check your belt and chain. Either one will suck a lot of power if in poor condition. Tired springs in your driver will also bog you down. Try a Juggernaut or Torquezilla driver, they are MUCH better than the Comet style.

Yeah I went through it all . Belt, chain, springs, checked the valves and the bearings. I don't think it's over heated... But I have had it at full throttle for a good 10 mins or more regularly and that river bed I ride to go a lot of places haha. It sucks to even walk in that sand.

the curved intake tube 7:58. Where did you get that?

That is just a rubber elbow with a PVC pipe inside to clamp the air filter to. Simple set up so I stop kicking the air filter off haha.

Stock form the MB200 def had the bike stacked more towards top speed than torque - my 196 was struggling to drag my butt around so it was replaced with a tilly 212. Extreme difference then I went a bit crazy on parts - it went from a overpriced bike imo to my favorite thing to ride with a good bit of cash. I dont think my shocks/belt lasted a month and the chain went shortly after that. I was extremely disappointed in quality compared to my Massimo bikes but if you are going to mod it - its probably the best bike to start with.

I'm not sure what belts and stuff you were running but I did not keep stock belts, chains or shocks haha. Cause you are right they suck if your riding hard especially off road. But with the ones I got beside the Amazon shocks and about two belt changes I've had the same 420 gold racing chain and the 196cc did good till a little while ago when it started to suffer from my hard treatment haha

They were all stock. Once I changed all those parts I had way less issues with the bike which made me comfortable with spending more money on things I wanted for it. Currently its the bike everybody says they want when we have family gatherings and it hardly has a break from people riding it. Happy how it is now, just wish stock components were better for the price.

With the 60t rear sprocket, it should be no problem getting up that hill. Maybe you need a new belt?

I double checked everything, the bearings, valve clearance, gear alignment, did change the belt before the vid actually haha and even double checked the carb alignment. I will admit though, beside jumping I treat this the same as my dirt bike and the extended river bed rides and steep hills may have taking a little out of the motor

@@lifeoffline2248 I don’t have a whole lot of miles on mine, but will eventually replace the Chinese engine with a Tillotson 212. Rated at 9hp out of the box with heavier valve springs.
