I homeschooled our children in the 1980's and used Rod and Staff curriculum.. We did a lot of traveling around the U.S. and visited the place in Kentucky where the curriculum is made. We were invited to eat with a family and we had a whole tour of the community. It was wonderful!
This is the video I wish I saw a month ago when I jumped into Rod and Staff Grade 1 without seeing any flip throughs and had a real learning curve to figure it out 😆 We are really enjoying it so far!
We just ordered the simply classical level 1 that includes this math curriculum for my special needs son so we are excited to try it out this homeschool year!!
We are finishing their "kindergarten " books and love it. They are making sure the student understands and can complete many aspects of a subject. It does review a concept a few pages later and my son always says "oh I remember! ". We hope to buy 1st grade for next year.
I think this looks great! I have tried 3 other “popular” resources and I think this traditional math is what we need. So hard to find good reviews on this. Did you try other curriculum first? Thank you! 😊
@@LovedbyJesus23 sort of! We are doing the memoria press core but I was really hesitant with the math and phonics because they aren't super popular like all about reading or Saxon for example. I was losing sleep over whether we made the right choice so I figured let's just test it out! We've done a couple of lessons and really enjoy it ☺️
@@laurenrasmussen7997 I definitely understand being nervous to try less talked about curriculum. I had to learn the hard way, that the popular curriculums aren’t always the best. I first learned about Rod & Staff from Memoria Press & wish I just used them from the beginning, instead of trying the other math curriculums. I’m glad you’re enjoying it so far.🥰 We also used some of the MP phonics. It’s a great program. I just think my daughter was a little advanced for it. So, I might use it for my second child.💖 Memoria Press is a great choice. Good Luck 🍀🥰

That’s what I really like about Rod & Staff! They really make sure the student knows & understands the different concepts. It’s great!🥰
