Lol super sentai openings are Goated, but them jingles ain’t too bad though 😂😂😂 But the super sentai openings give me a lot of nostalgia for me personally, mainly because I grew up watching power rangers, they were a BIG part of my childhood 🤩
Donbrothers is what happens when you give a veteran writer zero restrictions. Imagine a power rangers team made entirely of sociopaths. You have mr. perfect red, Don Momotaro, who attacks his teammates after the battle is over as a demented form of "training", Oni Sister, an egotistical manga artist who is usually the audiance POV sonce she tends to be the most levelheaded. (But thats not saying much considering her team), Saru Brother, a man who has no job due to being literally violently allergic to money. The most sensible one, somehow, and then Kiji Brother, the pink, whose sole purpose in living is his wife. He would kill for her. And Inu Brother, a dog. He's a wanted fugitive. This show was made by, made for, and exclusively stars insane people. I love it.
That sounds like a good recipe for something legendary! I love it when Power Rangers get dark, I heard that super sentai shows blood and everything. Though I was a bit surprised to see it while watching the openings.
And Don Doragoku is someone who becomes a hero but also has a split personality, one that is energetic that people can't up with so they tend to left him out while thr other is violent and brash, that personality transforms him into Don Torabolt
Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger is made by the same company that makes Sentai - Toei. It's a comedy series aimed at adult fans who grew up on Tokusatsu that celebrates and makes jokes about certain sentai and tokusatsu in general stuff. It was basically a rofl series made by same production company that makes Sentai. It was so popular that they decided to make a 2nd season despite at first being only 1 time thing (and not many official sentai serieses get 2nd seasons). They are "unofficial" as in because in-universe, they want to become a real sentai team. Also, it got the best joke about Power Rangers. Because they're unofficial, they only sometimes get mentioned in other official sentai serieses and other tokusatsu stuff. While it is good, I'd only recommend watching it after watching decent amount of other sentai serieses, including older ones, because jokes land better if you actually understand Sentai.
Man it really caught me off guard, I never knew they had a show like this. But after I watch a few super sentai I’ll definitely come back to the series. I want to get ALL of the jokes 😁😁😁😁
@@GrizzyKangliveSlight spoilers but they do meet the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers. I’d say it’s a spoiler but it’s the first joke you hear when the series comes up in conversation lol

Lupinranger VS Patranger is my favorite. The Lupinrangers usually run a restaurant near the police station, and the Patrangers are regular customers there, unaware of their true identities. When they're not transformed, they get along well, and the Patrangers' Green Ranger has a crush on the Lupinranger's Yellow Ranger (the Green Ranger doesn't know that the woman he has a crush on is the Yellow Ranger), and the Red Rangers care for each other like pseudo-older brothers, but on the battlefield they are basically rivals and antagonize each other, although on rare occasions they will call a truce and work together to defeat powerful monsters.
By the way, the main story writer for Kamen Rider GAVV, which just started airing a few days ago, is the same person who was the main story writer for Lupinranger VS Patranger, so this is a TV show I'm personally looking forward to seeing more of.
It literally threw me off, I have never seen a power ranger series like it, It’s definitely a show I would LOVE to see. I’m glad I did this video, otherwise I would have never known about the series if I didn’t 😁😁😁

50:38 Kind of, the 6th position is shared by Gold & SIlver (who are also siblings btw) and at the same time they're not th 6th since they belong to another separated group called the Go-On Wings, that's their dinamic during the whole show, always denying being in the same group as the Go-Ongers. 10 years passed and they still denied
They did not use Dairanger suits because Saban has the same mentality as every other TV producer back in the 90's, keep a show going and the same for as long as possible. He thought he can cobble together Zyuranger with Dairanger and make it seamless as to not alienate his audience who is not used to new team per year method. Turns out that method has limits and he had to go with new yearly teams eventually. They also tried to just do old cast new suits. I've always had problems with Alien Rangers when they used Kakuranger suits and say "how the @$%& do you get fish from Ninjas!".
Man it’s crazy how they tried to stretch it out with the Zyurangers, but they definitely tested the limits of that. They had like 3 different super sentai series into 1, thankfully they did switch it up, the tried to keep it going for as long as they can. They really fooled me good back in the day, hell they had me fooled up until now 😂😂😂😂
In Go-Busters, the robots serve as AI for their vehicles, with Red's robot also serving as a motorcycle. The robot with the 4th one is also a ranger. ToQger is one of the best series out there with a great story. I get it that it get criticized for being a train theme (that's why it never got adapted in the US) but the story and characters make up for it.
Yeah the train theme threw me off, never seen a power ranger/ super sentai show with that kind of theme. It’s understandable that they got some criticism over it, but I liked that they tried something different.
fun fact the reason that Super Sentai have giant mech is because of Japanese Spiderman he have a mech call Leopardon and it was a big success so the Sentai series adopt it and fully became Super Sentai

Man I would have loved for them to adapt the series, the fact that the rangers are thieves makes a unique. I mean you got two rangers on the opposite end of the law, but will come together and fight bigger threats, makes it a game changer.
Actually, it could still be plotted like Ninja Storm... Patranger as a ranger under the government while Lupin is a ranger without any government interference. Like captain side vs Tony side
Power Ranger Dino Force Brave is the Korean made Sequel to Kyoryuger which was big success in Korea. The Second opening is the Japanese opening because it got dub in Japanese to air in Japan. The Reason why Korea uses the Power Ranger name is because from 1994 to 2002 the dub the American Power Rangers series but Ninja Storm even with its americanization was still to Japanese for the Korean market and Disney had increase the license cost after taking over from saban. In 2002 Korea had left the banned on Japanese media airing on Korean TV. With that law lifted the Korean rights holder got the license from toei to air super sentai directly in Korea using the Power Ranger Name and they have most seasons since then just skipping a couple (one for being samurai and one to have Japan and Korea be on the same shows)
Carranger Saved The Super Sentai Series From Being Cancelled, The Last One Is From Korea And Known As Power Rangers Dino Force Brave (They Call It Power Rangers)
Thats ironic because the American version of Carranger aka Power Rangers Turbo almost ruined the franchise, but Power Rangers in Space aka Denji Sentai Megaranger thankfully saved it.
@@GrizzyKangliveactually, the Carranger thing isnt really true. For a period of 6 years Go ranger and JAKQ where not considered part of Super Sentai franchise from 1975 to 1987 they where part of the franchise but do to rights reasons (the shows where co production with another Japanese studio) Toei drop them from franchise. In1993 an agreement was reach with the other studio to reincluded back into the franchise with Diaranger going from being promoted as the 15th seasons to the 17th season.
I love it.
man i really love donbrother's it's a show you can turn off you mind and just enjoy the ride
That sounds like a good recipe for something legendary! I love it when Power Rangers get dark, I heard that super sentai shows blood and everything. Though I was a bit surprised to see it while watching the openings.
And the red ranger cannot lie😅 if he lie his heart stop....
And Don Doragoku is someone who becomes a hero but also has a split personality, one that is energetic that people can't up with so they tend to left him out while thr other is violent and brash, that personality transforms him into Don Torabolt
The main plot-line got cancelled after 20 eps

You can thank Spider-Man for sentai having giant robots
@@tgiacin435
Oh yeah I just looked it up, I’m still shocked at the fact that SpiderMan is the reason why they have giant robots lol

@@QuayeLive In the Lupat VS KyuRanger movie, Ryu Commander directly asks Noel if he's a double agent. Noel's response was that It's not like that.
That’s interesting, so they pretty much take turns being the 6th ranger for the team, while at the same time deny being a part of the team lol

They will never adapt Lupin vs Pat because the produces said "rangers can't be thieves and police aren't popular right now".

Now doing that time period Toei didn't forget about Goranger ad JAKQ with Toei creating the umbrella franchise Super All Star Century Sentai which was represented the Sentai franchise (Go ranger and JAKQ) and Super Sentai franchise with the branding being discontinued in 1999 for just Super Sentai.
It’s good that they eventually reached an agreement, so they were fighting over who had the rights to those shows. You would think that bit of info would have already been discussed before production.

Man I still got the game on me, I haven’t played the game in years though. But I might dust it off and play it one of these days.
MMPR is a mix of Zyuranger and Dairanger, but did you find it strange that there were two "Tiger" Rangers ? (Yellow and White)
And don’t forget Kakuranger, they literally mixed elements 3 different shows, and it’s just crazy how they did it 😂😂😂😂😂
And now that you mentioned it yeah that is strange that they had two tiger rangers, I had to think about that for a second when I read your comment lol

It also does Super Sentai

@@GrizzyKanglive sorry bro my mistake, what I want to said is the silver ranger you used in that lightspeed rescue game is Titanium ranger and the silver ranger in Megaranger is Mega Silver.
@@GrizzyKanglive Mega Silver is not in that game. You played the Titanium Ranger, which was never in Sentai. Go Go V only has 5 rangers (I don't count Demon Hunter as he was a movie one off). Teams that has the name "V" or Five in them don't have 6th members.

battle fever is first ranger have orange color
Season 3 thru 5 Battle Fever J Denziman and Sun Vulcan where Joint productions with Marvel Comics. Battle Japan the Red Ranger for Battle Fever J is alternate universe counterpart for Captain America and the Teams pink ranger Miss America costume is based of the 1940s Marvel Hero Miss America. Sun Vulcan was going to get the Power rangers treatment a decade before power rangers but every network Stan Lee pitched the show to turned it down. The producer working with Stan Lee to pitch Sun Vulcan to the networks would be the head of Fox Kids when Eagan pitched Zyuranger as Mighty Morphing Power Rangers
I didn’t know that Stan Lee was trying to bring tokusatsu to the U.S. back then, I guess that failure is part of the reason why he gave the green light for Mighty Morphin.

Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger use ranger key to tranform in to defrent rangers
Up until I started making these videos, I have never seen rangers transform like that.
@@GrizzyKangliveand to get the ranger key, gokaiger have to proof to the members of the sentai before them that they worth it to use their power before getting the ranger key
Carranger is one of my favourite Sentai seasons and is widely enjoyed, It's very different from Power Rangers Turbo though since Carranger is a very comedic season, it was the 20th anniversary of Sentai and felt almost like a parody season at points (in a good way) and so they struggled to adapt it into Power Rangers which took itself a lot more seriously than Sentai and so Turbo is stuck in a weird middle ground
@@RatToku
Yeah that might be the reason why Turbo wasn’t received too well, because they were definitely trying to take a serious approach with It. But I never knew that the super sentai counterpart was more of a parody/ comedic natured show, in comparison to what they tried to do with Turbo.
22:09 you didnt notice blue ranger from liveman was a girl?? besides we had blue female rangers too and quit calling it power rangers. Its seperate. 5:07 uhh SPD had 7 too?
It’s a force of habit, I grew up calling it PR for as long as I can remember. But yeah I’m just now starting to REALLY see the difference between Super Sentai and Power Rangers.
You should watch Super Sentai Zyuranger - that's the first MMPR
That’s already on the watchlist, it’s a must that I watch it, the footage is what popped off the whole power ranger franchise.
Fun Facts:
Goranger And JAKQ Actually Weren't Considered Super Sentai Until 1995
Bioman Is Notable For Having The First (And Second) Female Yellow
Mega Voyager And Mega Winger Are So Far The Only Megazords To Share Names With Their Sentai Counterparts
Gluto From Power Rangers Time Force Is The Leader Of The Villains In Timeranger
A Lot Of Super Sentai Series Are Better Than Their Power Rangers Counterparts (Especially In Comparison To The Stuff Hasbro Put Out)
@@joshuawinters7644
I love these fun facts, and yeah I can understand the argument, Super Sentai just have better storylines in comparison to Power Rangers.
That not entirety true from 1975 to 1986 Goranger and Jakq were part of the franchise they where drop from the Franchise from 1987 to 1993. About mid way thru diaranger both series return to the franchise with diaranger marketing going from the 15th season to the 17th season. Super Sentai celebrated its 10th Anniversary Twice in the 1980s
Power Rangers Mystic Force is actually pretty good.
There not power rangers they are sentai, giant robots are call mechs, mecha, sentai robots not megazord
I know the original names, however they were introduced to me as power rangers and megazords, so it’s kind of hard to not call them PR
@@GrizzyKanglive I understand, it's frustrating for us sentai fans sometimes but I understand. This is why we're sour about PR kinda poisoning the well in the US and making anything Tokusatsu "Power Rangers" (Metal Heroes and Kamen Rider included). I get it buts please understand you will get comments from purists who will try to correct you and just take i t w/ a grain of salt. Hell I get frustrated in TH-cam when I search for Tokusatsu stuff and they show me PR stuff and I have to click "not interested" a lot.
...and just to let you know, I grew up on Bioman and Maskman, not MMPR. I know a lot of PR fans ask my why I'm so salty about PR when "didn't you grow up on it?". Yeah no, I have see real Sentai before MMPR and when MMPR came up I was like "WTF is this?".
@revorealm2259 You’re right about that, the U.S. really did a good job at conditioning folks to look at anything Tokusatsu as Power Rangers, I’m guilty of that as well, because I still look at some Kamen Riders as power rangers. Outside of power rangers, I’m still pretty new to this, hell I didn’t even know that Kamen Rider existed until about a month ago.
I’m just now breaking out of the conditioning a bit, but I understand 👍🏽
@@GrizzyKanglive once you start watching the shows you’ll understand why we make those distinctions. Also Saban and Hasbro has pretty much did anything in their power to keep it from reaching over seas. We only have a few seasons on dvd from Fiveman to Dekaranger.
I mean the heroes in Super Sentai are called Rangers and they’re Sentai members.
Changeman e king ohger tem as melhores aberturas ❤
To be fair, I grew up watching Super Megaforce and I thought it was peak with all of the rangers transforming into various past rangers. But when I discovered Sentai in 2023, I felt like I missed out on an even big peak that I haven't realized that PR was Japanese all along and I didn't even noticed. Then a thought came to my head... that explains why those "Legendary Squadron modes" were never seen before, hence why Gosei said "Never seen before" blah blah blah bs. Now, I watched Gokaiger to the fullest extent, and it was so good! Gokaiger is now better than Super Megaforce for its dramatic and awesome scenes.
Man before I really got into super sentai, I thought Power Rangers was made in America. However after I found out that it came from Japan It was a culture shock to me, lowkey it felt like my childhood was lie 😂😂😂😂
But I’m glad to learn the truth, because the Japanese versions of PR is a completely different entity, alot of the storylines are deeper, plus some of them have blood in it, that surprised the hell out of me lol

While power rangers had some solid seasons like SPD (Dekaranger is still better), ill.never forget nor forgive how much they butchered and ruined the Gokaiger (this one 54:46 and my personal favorite sentai ) adaption with PR super megaforce truly the worst season imo
@@arielmartinez94
I never watched Super Megaforce, I stopped watching power rangers after Dino Thunder. But yeah I heard that a lot of people hated that season, I believe they hated it more than Turbo, and that’s saying something.
@GrizzyKanglive better to not check it, instead I recommend you both Dekaranger and Gokaiger, they are both top tier seasons, you don't need to watch the previous seasons to Gokairger to enjoy it but if you wanna check another top tier one that came before then I recommend Shinkenger, so Dekaranger, Shinkenger and Gokaiger that came after those two
@@arielmartinez94
Appreciate the recommendations, I haven’t watched a full episode of super sentai yet, I have watched clips on TH-cam. But I do plan on watching it, because power rangers and super sentai are two completely different shows, that’s one thing I have learned from what I have seen so far.
