    That is the first thing I noticed when I road my 2022 fx Cruiser svho I was wondering why the front was riding low and the splash was more than my 2006 Fx cruiser 50th anniversary ones I love those units had them for 14 years no issue strong unit’s, for shore I will be swapping them out with the reva ones!

    Hey just found your channel yesterday. Thanks for the great content about the new 2022 Yamaha's! I'm wondering if there is any dealer you could recommend here around Lake Norman? New to the area and want to order a new FX Limited and GP 1800r SVHO for next spring.

    update got the new intake great and ride plate on and man did it change the ride for the better even on choppy water it feels stable and I have more confidence on turns as well, and with the intake great no more cavitation on Hight speeds just feels planted in the water. Even the misses noticed the ride quality and that has to say worth the money lol!! get them on asap oh I put RIVA PARTS

    I have a ‘19 FX HO and just last weekend installed a Riva Ride Plate, Picked up 200-300 RPM, 1-2 MPH, but absolutely 100% better ride! Now it feels like it should, not plowing water.
    I’d still love to compare the Riva to the ‘22 ride plate.
    Is there anything that someone can do to make the ski not bow dive when you let off the throttle? (Other than ease off the throttle). This thing doesn’t need brakes with the way it buries the bow hard when you let off the throttle!

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s all about throttle control now.

      Is it a dryer ride with the riva plate or does it still spray water in your face and submarine while idling out?

      @@user1456 The Riva ride plate is Absolutely dryer! It no longer plows water and your trim will actually be effective!

    I have a 2015 FX SVHO that is running perfectly. The one thing I was interested in was the ride plate, but they don't specify it that many years back. Do you know the later years Riva plate (ie 2019) would fit on the 2015? I'm thinking it may but can't find info on anyone who has tried.

      No that’s a different hull. 2011-2018 will fit yours.

    Are the integrated speakers on a ski a game changer vs not having them? I’ve only ever rode without them, will I be missing out on a lot?

      I’m ordering mine on Friday and I’m wondering if I should get the audio package minus the subwoofer.
      I can always add that later, but an amplifier hmmmm. Got my brain going in a lot of different directions.
      I have the removable Ecoxgear speakers on my 2020 FX HO and they’re very loud.

      I’m sure if I got the integrated speakers I’d probably want to switch it out to JL Audio speakers. I’m excited either way.

      If you’ve never had them then you could certainly survive without them. But they sure are nice and can add a lot to the experience.

    How about the gp1800 2019. Will i feel a noticeable difference between the stock intake grate and ride plate versus Rivas parts?

    • @watercraftjournal
      @watercraftjournal  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The RIVA parts (when all combined) make the GP a cornering monster.

    Do you need the intake grate with the Riva plate if your stock? What benefit would that give?

    Would i be safe in presuming the 2016 fzs rideplate is just a 3 piece of flat material like the older fx's? I think i remember it looking fairly basic.

    I buy a 2020 FX HO (thanks for the tip BTW, I was between that and Gtx 170 and make the right decision) anyway I'm looking to change it for the 22 but don't know if I go for HO again or go SVHO, is a lot of difference IN MAINTENANCE specifically?? (you can make a quick topic vid about it 😉 ) 👍
