It's incredible that she wrote this song at 14 yo, RIP Rosie.
Reading this gave me chills threw my while body.
One of the reasons I enjoy old songs is that with their simple melodies, they can infuse a soul into the song, making it more emotionally resonant for listeners. I really like it.

After all these years, her voice is still clear as a bell, hitting and holding those high notes - amazing.
I come to this video nearly everyday, sadly she is no longer with us as she passed away in early 2017 from health problems that prevented her from performing live in the later years. She was so so good

I was born 80 %deaf, my parents gave me to my maternal grandparents, when I was 3 years old I got my first set of hearing aids and not only could I hear it, I could also feel it and when I was around 6, my great uncle laid his speakers on the floor of the porch, he had me sit on the porch floor and he started playing this song, I’ll never forget this song, I’m 65 and I’ve had a fairly good life
