On a real note tho, when I wrote this I was a heartbroken mess. I was a suicidal, depressed junkie who closed himself from every imaginable thing. The bathroom was my new home because it felt like a place of respected privacy, I only left to eat and go to school. This song kept me going because of the "hope' he sang about.
