That's exactly why I have to throw in some tunisian crochet project from time to time. I absolutely love that technique, and this shawl in particular, is done quickly and feels super luxe 🤗
it looks fun to make and of course, to wear. curious- why did you choose that particular stitch? i've just [few months] gotten into tunisian and watching all the tunisian crochet content I can get, to learn.
Thank you. It's definitely fun to make because you don't have to think much 🤣 the perfect project in between more difficult projects. Early this year, I first discovered the tunisian full stitch while making a headband. And I immediately loved it because of it's softness and chunkiness. I made triangle shawls with the tunisian simple stitch in the past and was wondering if that would work with the full stitch as well. First attempt was a miss, it turned out very asymmetrical. But then I found out how and it turned out really beautiful. I'm sure you'll love tunisian crochet. It's a whole new world besides regular crochet for me, and so far, I have only discovered a glimpse of it, it feels. And I love that, it never gets boring 🤗
Oh those colors look so great, however I'm just not a fan of using black. I'll leave Tunisian crochet to all of you experts. It is not my favorite style of crochet for large projects. I like to use it for accents to pieces. Ugh I hate when the yarn balls do that. Keep up the amazing work.❤
Hi Brandon, I'm not a huge fan of black yarn either. I'm all flashy colors 🤣 But with that stitch, it was a lot easier than it would've been with regular crochet. And yes, all my halloween projects were cursed with yarn babies 🤣 let's hope there won't be any once I start christmas season 😉
I don’t know what I’m doing wrong with this project. I frogged it many times now. I am getting the wrap after the decrease rows way shorter than the beginning of the wrap. You are saying decrease every row right??
Hi, I'm sorry to read that you're having some issues. Yes, we decrease each row by starting the return pass by going through 2 instead of 1 stitch. However, due to fact that we alternate the beginning of each row the stitch count will be the same for always 2 rounds. I hope that makes sense? Question: Is your right side all straight? Always alternating. Make sure when decreasing a row after a previous decrease that the 2nd to last stitch of the row is placed right before the decrease of the previous row. It looks like a reversed V. Then place the last stitch into the border stitch as always. And then again, start the return pass by going through 2 instead of 1. I hope this helps 🤞
Oh, that’s so pretty!! I want to do more with Tunisian crochet, I’ll have to save this video to try later. 😊🤗
