Mahindra is a criminally low grade vehicle that becomes a death trap in the wet owing to inherent design flaws.
But all this is easy to overlook in the scam capital of the world where 50% of MPs in the parliament of India are convicted rapists & murderes.

I live in Australia, there's two kinds of people here the urban and country side folks. And trust me on this Scorpio pickup and new gen scorpio is getting there with the country side people and they really don't care much about safety features. All they care about is price and 4x4 features because Australia is mostly wildland. So even if xuv700 may not get popular, scorpio-n will become very popular specially at this price range.

As an Australian, I feel Mahindra can dominate if these 4 key market needs are fulfilled
    - Scorpio pickup is almost as good as Ford/Toyota, but not as good as Subaru. Needs improvement.
    - Spare parts should be low cost and available even in the Outback Australia.
    - Add more dashboard space, especially for glove-box space & more cup-holders.
    - Exhaust pipe opening higher than boot/trunk is a big win. If an Aussie is reading this, you know what I'm talking about.

I am from Australia. Mahindra is very popular in the farming communities of Australia and also in Fiji where a lot of Indians are farmers. These Fijian Indians were brought to the British colony of Fiji by the British colonial rulers in the mid to late 1800s. They used Mahindra tractors and vehicles and even after they moved to Australia and New Zealand, those who decided to continue as farmers bought Mahindra tractors and trucks. A lot of Australian farmers also love the dependability, reliability and practicality of Mahindra products.

The fact of the matter is that what Indians consider luxurious in a car, the rest of the world considers as 'cheap and affordable'. It was the same case with Mahindra's SUVs in Australia until they decided to level up and really do a good job with the New Scorpio and the XUV 700. It's still not up to Aussie standards but with a dimension increase, more power and better safety features in future models, Mahindra could be a formidable competitor in the international automotive space.

  • @M4NA5
    @M4NA5 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Automobile buyers in developed markets don’t compromise on safety and convenience features, and seldomly look at efficiency and value in their vehicles. Indian market is the exact opposite; to hell with safety, people here only buy cars based on mileage and spec sheet (panoramic roof, 360 camera, ventilated seats, etc.). Therefore it’s tricky for one manufacturer to build a car with these two polar opposite buyers in mind, and that’s why Mahindra in my opinion has found a middle ground where they offer limited features in their cars to keep them at a certain price point (key part of their strategy in developed markets), while not compromising on safety features like airbags, crash test safety rating / chassis quality, and ADAS.

  • @auto__mobiletendency3823

It is a unforeseeable response from developed countries. Yeah Mahindra does have a capabilities to compete with international products, but only thing which it lack is that internal production issues like waiting periods. You wouldn't surprise, In few days Toyota owners would say this things 😂. This time Mahindra took nibble out from toyota.
Now Tata should learn from their mistakes in terms of making their engine and supply out of India.

The truck needs to get a facelift sooner otherwise it won't be able to compete to GVM and LDV which are decent enough compared to the Pikup . Mahindra should keep the old pickup on sale while the scorpio based pickup comes in 2026.
If they plan to build an Electric in near future based on BE Ralle concept , they could be a worthy rival to isuzu electric pickup truck (2025). Bolero neo and 5 door Thar could be a worthy product there. Still like that they are not stubborn like those Americans who think that we make cheap automobiles with cheap quality.

I notice cars very closely, almost every single day, all the damm time, getting used to Australian automobile market ever since i moved to Melbourne.
I feel like these Australian youtubers review indian cars just to get views because we indians have sentiments with Mahindra because its an Indian brand, to be honest In last 4 months ever since i came here I haven't seen a single Mahindra, although my friend did saw a Scorpio N but according to me Mahindra is non existent here (only countryside people go for Scorpio pick-up because of it being super affordable) here cars are sold in huge numbers and a lot of brands exists competing with each other, but at the same time I'm Happy that they exists in International Market and i hope they come up in numbers and more on Australian roads specially urban ones.
In Australia the market is so different, its not like India where we have only 12 or 13 automobiles manufacturerers apart from the luxury ones and only 1 house has a car, here i have seen 25 to 30 brands (not counting luxury ones.) If there is a family of 4, high chances almost 3 of them have their own car and literally everyone drives a car and bikes are almost non existent, only sports bikes can be seen on roads.
Australians are crazy for pickup trucks aswell, i was surprised to see Toyota Hilux and Ford Ranger being top selling cars in Australia.
I have seen some rare brands which I didn't expected such as BYD/GWM/PUEGOET/HAVAL/SSANGYONG/CUPRA/CHERY, although they are decently selling as compared to Mahindra and can be seen on roads sometimes specially (haval and gwm) these chinese cars are much affordable as compared to competiton
The most famous and most selling ones here are TOYOTA/MAZDA/MITSUBISHI/KIA/HYUNDAI/ SUBARU/ HONDA/NISAAN/VOLKSWAGEN/SKODA/ISUZU/FORD/MG, their cars are everywhere and Australians just love them and Brands such as SUZUKI/SKODA/JEEP/RENAULT are Okayish in sales but yes can be seen pretty often on roads aswell.
Brands such as (CHEVROLET AS HOLDEN/ACURA/FIAT/CITROEN are almost dead here.

To break into the Australian mainstream market is not easy. These cars should also be compared with existing Chinese brands like Haval H6/Jolion and the Tank300/LDV D90. That's the competition not mainstream brands.
I live in Brisbane where Mahindra Australia is Head Quartered and in the last 6 months since the Scorpio N and XUV700 was launched, I have seen one Scorpio on the road - just one. And not a single XUV700.
So, Mahindra 2.0 is definitely improved. But it needs to do more to make a dent in the urban market.

It is good they are going abroad. There are just too many cars on Indian roads. Most Indians don't realise that buying a car, especially SUV, shows poor financial acumen. They will pay high taxes for car ownership for very poor services. Better Indian brands expand abroad and India reduces dependence on cars and invests in metro and electric buses.

Why Mahindra is not using its 1.5 GDI petrol in any of its car. It can be used in Scorpio-N and its FE problem can be addressed as 2.0 is a fuel guzzler. Some of N's variants are in price bracket of Creta/Seltos, but way behind in FE terms(yes I know its almost double in BHP's and NM's), but 1.5 L petrol figures are descent too with 163 BHP and 280 NM on cards, these are good enough to propel a heavy car like N. Mahindra should think in this direction, as there is dearth of RWD vehicles in country, consumers in 15-18L bracket also wants one, feature rich RWD vehicle with good FE. That engine can be introduced in Thar 5 door also, or a separate N variant can be launched with 1.5 L engine. A mini Scorpio-N can also be launched measuring 4.2~4.3, as sometimes size is also a factor considering tight spaces in our country.

XUV 500 had a very refined diesel mill. I gues you are referring to tyre and rattling noise.
