What I hate about this animatic is that he fact that I can never hear this song the same again. Like, I don’t even ship this, but now this is just what happens in my head when I hear the song.
Really, there was potential between these two. Like, they were friends. (At least canonically. Kinda like to think of them as both bi guys.) They could have _easily_ played it for tragedy if one of them tried to save the other-- like, Lys has Sycamore ambushed and kidnapped in a mad attempt to spare him of the culling even if he's not one of the chosen ones, and we see Sycamore in the cage with AZ pleading with Lys to stop, or Sycamore meets with you after the Weapon is raised, and takes off to Geosenge Town to try to talk some sense into his friend. I have to wonder how Lys would've responded, tho he would probably still view it all as far too late. But, no, all we got was regret after the fact and Sycamore saying he's partly to blame. It's just disappointing. We REALLY needed a Z to flesh things out, and I will be disappointed with Kalos until it's eventually remade.
@@late_prince8945 Not in the games, but Sycamore flirts with several women in the anime, and Malva has a thing for *Lysandre in the manga, so the headcanon stems from other adaptions. This is my main ship with Sycamore and Lysandre, but I ship with Diantha and Malva respectively too.
Lately I've been imagining they both have feelings for each other and for Diantha. Especially seeing as Lysandre seemed awfully keen on Diantha joining him. Maybe if he got his shit together and didn't go crazy, they could've been a nice polycule, but sadly...
You hurt my heart too early in the morning--- Edit: I'd like to mention I love how you have Lysandre start crying when he says "wish you'd kiss me." It really shows how he knows at this point he knows he messed up but feels he can't turn back. You managed to formulate a better story in 1 minute and 10 seconds than a 2 hour long game with one song and an animatic. I love it so much.
I only just dove back in Pokémon when I found my old 3DS and X and I swear the the ever living god lama these two scream bi and I’m still heart broken over everything in Geosenge.
